AnimeFox1940: Konnichiwa! HAPPY NEW YEARS!!! ...I'm late again, aren't I? Well, anyways, like always, I DO NOT own Yu Yu Hakusho. And I fear I have spelled Kuwabara's cat's name wrong. Oh, and also, Yusuke's feelings torwards cats does not reflect MY feelings torwards cats. Actually, cat's are some of my favorite animals...second to Foxes...Yeah, ok, well, no flames! And please excuse misspelled words! You know what...I think I just misspelled the word misspelled... @,@ I'm confused now! Hope you enjoy!! Bye!!!
*Blah* = Yoko
'Blah' = Kurama
~~~~( 8 O'clock P.M., with the guys)~~~~
"Eh! Urameshi! Shut up!!!" Kuwabara's voice echoed though the empty meadow that they were standing in, the only other sound was the whistling of the wind and sometimes, if listening closely, you could hear a couple of cars out in the distance.
"Kuwabara, It's true. Cats are stupid, weak, ugly creatures. And liking them makes you stupid, weak, and ugly." Yusuke said, just wanting to get on Kuwabara's last nerve, knowing Kuwabara couldn't do anything to him. After all, he was The winner of the Dark tournament.
"That's not true! And you better shut up before I beat you to a pulp!" Kuwabara yelled back. He loved his cat, Ekichi. All cats to be exact. For the reason, no one knows.
Yusuke snickered. "Oh, right you could!" Yusuke then said to him sarcastically.
"Yeah! I could!" Kuwabara retorted back.
"Then come and get me!" Yusuke yelled out, a challenge in his voice.
Kuwabara took the challenge and charged forward, only for Yusuke to step aside at the last minute, causing Kuwabara to fall to the ground.
Yusuke smirked, then sensed someone else coming. "Hey, Hiei." He said as Hiei walked out of some tree's shadow, in his usual black cloak, revealing an emotionless face.
"Hn." Was how he chose to respond.
"Where's Kurama?" Kuwabara asked, getting up and and dusting himself off, then looking around, only seeing Yusuke and Hiei.
"I don't know. I haven't seen him lately." Yusuke said, thinking about it. The last time he had seen Kurama was 3 days ago. Which wasn't that long, but it was still weird not to hear from him at all.
Then a twig broke to the left side of them, causing them all to look.
"Kurama..? Is that you?" Kuwabara asked in the direction they were all staring at, only for a rabbit to jump out. Kuwabara stared at it. "Oh my God!!! Kurama was attacked by an evil demon guy and was morphed onto a rabbit!!!"
A chuckle was heard from behind them, which caused them to look, just as the rabbit had caused them to look. But this time they saw Kurama in his school uniform.
"I'm assuming I'm late?" Kurama asked, walking further into the middle of the meadow.
"Very." Yusuke said, glaring. "Now, where the hell his Botan!? She needs to hurry up and make the stupid portal so we can--" Yusuke cut himself off when a portal appeared in front of them, Botan stepping though. She was in her usual pink kimono.
"Come on. Koenma needs to speak with you guys." Botan said, only to go back in to the portal she had just stepped out of.
"Where have you been for the past couple days?" Hiei asked Kurama ask they stepped in as well. Everyone looked back and listened.
"Koenma pulled me up for a mission. It was already completed, though." Kurama simply said.
*Yeah. I HATED it. And the girl involved in it, too.* Yoko said in his mind, crossing his arms.
'You hated her? Don't you think that's a pretty strong word for it?'
*Well, I think 'didn't like' is a pretty weak word for it.*
Kurama sighed out loud after a second. Yoko wasn't a reasonable person, especially when he didn't want to be.
"What was your mission, anyways?" Yusuke then asked him. Koenma had never said anything about sending Kurama on a mission.
"I had to help someone with a very valuable artifact." Kurama started, remembering the Vase of Torment. "Apparently, Koenma was having problems with thieves."
"Then why were you sent on the mission?" Kuwabara asked after a second, fully knowing about Kurama's past.
"Because he has enough sense to not steal something when not needed. Especially with a witness right there." Hiei bluntly said, causing Kuwabara to shut up.
"Hey, Botan, speaking of missions, why did the toddler call us up anyways?" Yusuke asked her. Koenma had just called them out of the blue. And nothing seemed to be going wrong. Yet.
"Uh, Well...He didn't exactly tell me." Botan said, the portal taking them though. "Ah, here we are! Spirit World!!" Botan then said happily, picking up her oar and making it disappear into thin air.
"Do you think it's another Demon case? I haven't really sensed any lately..." Yusuke said, trailing off when Botan stopped and turned around to face Yusuke.
"Yusuke, please, stop asking questions! I really don't know! Plus, you'll find out soon enough. Koenma's office is just down the hall." Botan said, then turning around, continuing to walk.
*She knows something.* Yoko then observed. .
Oh, and how right Yoko was. Botan knew exactly why they were there. Only, she wasn't allowed to tell. Her job depended on keeping her mouth shut.
~~~~~(With Kena, 12 O' Clock noon)~~~~~
Kena sat with her sisters and her mother at the table. They had all been pulled out of school today. Even their mother had been pulled out of work. Because Kena had an announcement to make.
In total, she had 4 sisters. All of which being detectives as well. They all are--well, were the group. Kena was kinda considered the 'Leader', but out of the sisters, she was the youngest.
Rain, the girl with the dark brown hair and the dark blue eyes, the girl with the Water powers. She was the oldest. Then next came Lele, the one with the chestnut brown hair and dark green eyes, with the powers of Electricity. Then came Kagome. She had dark black hair and dark maroon eyes, the power of Darkness and Light. Then next came Mimi. She was the one Kena always fought with. Mimi had light blonde hair, and icy blue eyes. She had the powers of Ice. Which was probably the reason why Mimi and Kena were always at each others' necks.
Fire and Ice apparently didn't mix very well.
And, since they were all Spirit Detectives, Their mother knew. Actually, their mother was a member of Spirit World herself. She used to be a Spirit detective herself. Then she was called by Koenma and told to adopt all of the girls, so they could be trained properly. So basically, it was always like a mini slumber-party in their house. Considering that Rain, Lele, Kagome, Mimi and Kena were all the same age, but differed by months in between.
"So...What is it Kena? Were you assigned on a dangerous mission alone or something?" Mimi asked, staring at her sister.
"Well, Mimi, I would think that Koenma would tell me if He were to do something like that." Their mother responded. Their mother wasn't that old either. Right now, she was in her late 30s. Actually, she was 35. But, no matter what. she would never look old. When she was assigned with her new job of being a mother of Detectives, she was giving the long life span of a demon. But, she wasn't really a demon....
At least, Kena couldn't find traces of demonic power in her mothers Aura. Kena stared at her mother again. Her mother had bright indigo eyes and dark black hair. She looked the same way she had looked when she came into the adoption agency and picked them up...She still looked 25.
"Isn't that right Kena? He wouldn't send you on a mission like that without telling me, would he?" Kena's mother asked, trying to pump her for information.
"Uh, well, no. I mean, he would at least tell you. Or, at least make sure you know. HE probably wouldn't tell you himself. But if I was sent on a mission...Alone, then he'd probably make sure there were other people there waiting for my arrival..." Kena said, getting nervous under her mother and her 4 sisters stares.
"Kena...What's going on?" Lele was the one to ask now. "You know you have to tell us eventually. I think now is a good time as ever." She then said. Kena looked at her. Lele...the fighter. The cook. It only now dawned on Kena not on how mad they would be at her...but how she would miss them all. This wasn't a mission that she had a choice of doing. She had to do it.
Kagome leaned back in her chair. "Kena, just tell us already. We're dying of anticipation." Kagome. The 2nd Drama queen of the girls, Mimi being the first. Kagome she loved the Drama club. She loved acting. She loved cute boys. Hell, she stalked cute boys. Kena smiled weakly at them. If she didn't tell them soon...like NOW, then they'd defiantly kill her.
Kena bit her bottom lip. "Okay...You guys. I was sent on a mission. And yes...by myself. But I doubt it's dangerous." Kena knew she was lying. "Well, I mean, too dangerous."
"Well, honey, what do you have to do?" Her mom asked.
"Will you be sent away?" Rain asked her quickly. Rain, she was the genius. She was the only one closest to perfect from all of them. She was the designer.
"Will you die?" Mimi asked, smiling to herself. She didn't hate her sister, she just liked getting on her nerves. And get on her nerves she did.
Kena glared at Mimi, whom was sitting next to her, then tried to answer their questions. "Well, um. I can answer both of your questions at once..heh." Kena said, smiling at Rain and her mom. "Well, you see...I have to be sent away to Japan for a year!" Kena quickly gushed out.
But they heard every word.
At the time, Lele, who was sitting across from Kagome, had been drinking some water. And when she heard that, she spit it out, and it flew across the table to hit Kagome. And Kagome had been leaning back in her chair, and in an attempt to not get hit, leaned back even more, causing the chair to give out under her, making her fall back. Well, her still trying not to fall, grabbed Mimi by the shirt, pulling her down with her. And Mimi, not expecting that, quickly screamed out and shot out sharp ice crystals in a random direction, which almost hit Rain. Rain shot out water, slowing down the ice crystals, but they still shot forward, still going towards her. The ice crystals shot past Kena, and Rain veered to the right just in the nick of time. But she had hit their mom, pushing her out of the chair, their mom grabbing Rain in the process, both of them colliding with the ground.
"WHAT?!?!" Everyone screamed.
Kena had a sweat drop formed on the back of her head. She and Lele were the only ones not on the ground, but Lele was the one who started it. Well, Kena was, announcing it and all but still. Kena just sat there and laughed nervously to herself, and all of her family members started yelling at her.
~~~~(With the detectives in Koenma's office)~~~~
"WHAT?!" Kuwabara and Yusuke yelled to The Baby Prince himself.
Koenma backed up from them just a little in fear of what they might do to him.
"What do you mean by, 'You have a new teammate?!'" Yusuke yelled out, glaring at Koenma.
"I mean exactly what I said. You have a new teammate." Koenma said, continuing to stamp papers.
"B-but! Don't we have a say in this at all?!" Kuwabara asked franticly.
Koenma looked back up to them. "I am the owner of this group. And if I choose to put in an extra teammate, then that is what I'll do. No questions asked. Plus, your new teammate could help you...With the 7 physics case." Koenma told them.
"Well, who will our new teammate be?" Kurama asked, speaking up for the first time they entered Koenma's office.
"Well, That's a surprise! So, when even we talk aboiut this person, I will only use the word 'They' for now on! Your new teammate, They can help. They is a very respected Spirit Detective here. And I'm sure you'll enjoy They's company!" Koenma said smiling happily. "Now leave! As you can see, I have many things to attent to!"
"But, Koenma---" Kuwabara started.
"LEAVE!!!!"
