Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ The keys of power ❯ training [hiei] ( Chapter 3 )
Your training starts at dawn…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Time passes like a hummingbirds heart so I have found a way to slow it down. You must move as fast as it does or be lost and confused. Try to block these blows." I then initiate a combo that usually is blocked by most opponents of which he is successfully blocking. "Good. Now, I am going to use this stick to tell you when you are dead. Begin." I fight with only one hand but it is a blur to most humans and I do the same series again and point out when he is dead by digging the stick into the unprotected area.
Within ten minutes, he is already panting and gasping for breath. "Alright, five minute break for less intense training: 15 push-ups, and then you get some water." I watch him with my eyes narrowed as he does his push-ups. Surely this boy can't go on much longer. He goes to the well and draws a bucketful of water up and pores it over himself; the water begins to steam. He then draws another bucketful and drinks a small amount of water. Good, he knows the water will make him heavy and slow.
"Your five minutes are up! Get over here! Come on! Run don't walk!" He runs over. "You claimed me; now work with me if you ever want to be able to beat me again."
He turns his blood red eyes on me " I don't know why I even bothered with you." Under his breath he says "Chubaka."
"Do you want the training to end now with nothing or later and you get a reward? Or are you just too weak to endure this tiny bit of exercise? "
"Hn." He narrows his eyes, "I'll stay."
"Good. Now we'll start free-style hand-to-hand combat; no weapons will be used. The objective: all you have to do is hit my stomach. Begin." He launches a flurry of blows at me and I block every one of them and give him a few blows of my own. He blocks them and then I see an opening. Quickly, I feign a blow and hit him directly in his stomach and he collapses breathless.
"Now do want the training to end?" I demand as soon as he gets his breath back.
"No!"
We repeat the process again and the same result occurs. I ask him again and again and his answer is the same. We continue like this for the rest of the morning. At noon I tell him to socialize with the others and to eat. I also tell him to be back within an hour for the rest of the day's training.
"Finally!" He runs off to find the others. I stay behind to meditate. Within five minutes, I have detached myself from my body; my aurora is shining in a cold blue light. I leave my body and find the others. Not to be unexpected, they are talking about me.
Yusuke: So, how was training?
Hiei: Hn. It wasn't training… It was torture.
Kuwabara: It wasn't that bad. Was it? *Thinks I wonder what Irichi is doing*
Hiei: She wants me to go back in an hour.
Hiei, I need to speak to you. ASAP. You can bring the others if you want, but you have to see this.
Hiei: *looks around* What the…
Karama: I heard it too…
