The Meeting

Disclaimer: I do *NOT* own Yu Yu Hakusho! If I did, well, Kurama and Hiei would be mine! MINE MINE MINE!!! I do, however, own the charaters Kittana & Natako! The group is traveling through the woods and meet someone. Who can this person be and how does she know Kurama?
WHOLE STORY IS IN THE THIRD PERSON!!

The group was walking through a dense forset that seemed determined to slow them to an almost dead stop. Yuske, being the screwed up person he is, has to be in front of everybody else because he is the "leader". Kurama and Hiei are in the back talking. Kurama is becoming worried because although he can control plants, he can't seem to affect these. Hiei's been telling him to quit worrying because they can handle anything that happens. And of course, Kuabara is lazing behind Yuske doing nothing but being a burden on those around him.
After a few more hours of walking, they decide to rest for a little while. They sit under a large tree and Yuske mentions the increasingly thick folige and asks Kurama if he could do anything about it.
"I'm sorry. Somehow these plants are immune to my powers."
"That's because they follow my orders!" a voice rang out from the trees.
Suddenly, vines sprout from the ground and wrap around each of the group. Kurama tries to call them off, but it seems they really do only listen to whoever was watching from the trees.
"Who are you!" Yuske yelled out demandingly.
"I would watch your tounge if I were you," the voice warned dangerously, "If you haven't realized, you are in no possition to make demands. I'll be asking you some questions before I even consider answering any of your's."
"Alright, shoot. What do you want to know?"
"One, who are you?"
"We are..." Kuabara started.
"I do believe I asked this young man so kindly keep your trap shut!" it snapped. Well, it was obviously a girl from how she sounded.
"We are spirit detectives. My name is Yuske and my partners' names are..." Yuske began before being cut off.
"Just your name will do just fine for now, Yuske. I'm not in the mood for long introductions. Now, why are you here? Knowing the spirit detectives, and I do, you're probably on some fool quest Koenma sent you on. Am I correct?"
"Actually, my friends and I were taking time off. We thought a nice hike would be good until just about now. How do you know Koenma?"
"That is none of your concern at the momment. Now I guess I have no need to tie you up so I'll just retract my vines."
The vines glided back under the dirt and the four of them stood up. They stood for a few seconds in silence before Yuske said, "Now that you know pretty much all about us, mind comming down and introducing yourself?"
"No I don't mind," she replied and a blonde haired beauty landed on the ground not far from them, "I am Kittana. As you can tell, I can control plants. Now, what are the rest of your names?"
"Well, you already know me," Yuske replied.
"I'm Kuabara!" the orange haired annoyance exclaimed excitedly. "Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Ummm, no, and if I wanted one, it most certainly wouldn't be you," Kittana repied coldly. Hiei smirked as this happened because, of course, he hates Kuabara.
"I am Hiei," he says softly.
"And I am Kurama. Where did you learn to control plants?"
"Kurama? I had a brother named Kurama! He looked just like you as a matter of fact."
Kurama thinks for a second before remembering, "And I had a sister before she ran away saying I dragged her into a mortal life she didn't want."
"Yeah, and I was pissed about that!" she said angerly. "Why did you have to choose me to follow you within this life? Why not Katsu? He would've gone eagerly, but no! It's 'I want to bring my sister'."
"I wanted someone I actually trusted," Kurama replied simply, "So there really was no desicion. There was only one other I trusted other than myself then so I chose that person. I didn't think you would become so angery you would run off on your own."
"Well, I'm fine now! My human form has grown used to my powers and I've been training a lot lately. Well, actually, I've needed to protect my forest."
"Your forest? Where's that?" Kuabara asked stupidly.
"Is he honestly this dense?" Kittana asked her brother.
"Yes, and unfortunately, we have to deal with him," Hiei replied coldly before smirking, "But we could always replace him with someone who obviously knows how to fight. I'm rather impressed you know how to mask your preasents. Not even I have been able to master it."
Kurama looked at his friend while thinking <Is he praising her? He barely even knows her! There must be something going on in that demons mind, but what is it? He couldn't possibly.... no..... not Hiei. He likes to be alone too much. But just maybe.....>
Kittana blushed a little at the compliment before saying, "It's nothing you can't be taught. Though I agree, we should get rid of that idiot. He's too much of a burden."
"Hey! I heard that!" Kuabara yelled. "And I'll have you know, I'm just as strong and useful as everyone else here!"
"I highly doubt that," came her cold reply, "And I ment for you to hear me. If I didn't, all I would have to do was seal a sound-proof bubble around Hiei, Kurama, and myself."
"Kittana?" Kurama asked carefully. "Where did you learn how to do all this? I mean, I can understand controling plants, but overruling a supirior's control, sound-proof bubbles, and masking your preasents? I didn't know we were capable of learning these things."
"Well, when I ran away, I met King Yama. He saw my potential and had some of his best trainers help me develope my powers beyond what they would normally be. He said they would come quicker and easier to me if I also trained in other things yuokai don't usaully learn. He was right, but what he didn't think of was me actually learning to use these abilities. So he had that toddler he calls a son teach me more things I could do using my mind. It's been eleven years since I left and I've learned a lot, but I never returned home because I thought you would be mad at me, niisan."
"Why would I be mad at you? I've known you throughout both my lives. You had every right to be angery with me. I made you start your life over as a human when I knew you wouldn't like it. You must understand, however, that I also saw a good choice in that idea. So I took it and brought you with me into a human life. You can't tell me wouldn't have missed me if I had gone alone. You also can't tell me you didn't miss me while you were training. If I remember right, I used to be the one who helped you train."
"Yes, of course I missed you. You are my brother, my niisan. How could I not miss you? But how could I not be angery at you also? I loved life with the pack. I loved only having to do what others asked me to and not having to tell myself what I had to do. It was easier that way. I didn't have anything I needed to do alone. I always had others helping me. I guess in a way that made me weak, but I didn't care. Now I can easily see that the choice you made was not only the best for you, but for me also. I went back to our old home, but you and mother had moved. I didn't have any idea on where you were. So I went to this forest so I could have some fun with the unknowing idiots who just happened to be planning something against King Yama. After all, my keen hearing hasn't dulled from being human."
"Now that we've established pasts, might I suggest we get going?" Hiei inturrupted quietly. "Kittana, why don't you join us? We'll need someone who can keep their own in battle. I highly doubt Kuabara will last too much longer with the fights we've been in."
"Hey shrimp! I'm able to fight my own battles without help! After all, I beat that guy in Maze Castle didn't I?"
"Remind us again, Kuabara," Yuske broke in, "Didn't that guy live until that dragon guy killed him?"
"I must agree with Yuske on this one, Kuabara," Kurama added, "Byakko was destroyed by the dragon lord, not you."
"Oh, shut up!" Kuabara yelled while Kittana laughed.
"You don't know how long it's been since I laughed!" Kittana exclaimed. "It's been since before I was transformed into a human!"
"I remember the last time you laughed," Kurama added thoughtfully, "In fact, it was I that made you laugh was I not?"
"Yeah, you were. You were trying to catch me because I took something of yours that you were using and when you finally managed to catch me, you tickled me until I gave up."
"Are you still ticklish?" Kuabara asked, walking up behind her and trying it.
"You stupid bitch!" Kittana screeched before punching him hard in the face. "Never do that again!"
"Ummm... I don't think he heard you, Kit. He's unconscious," Yuske said while checking on Kuabara to see if he was dead.
"Hn," she replied, "Too bad, I was aiming to kill. I guess the idiot has more to him than I originally thought."
"No, he just has a dense skull," Hiei corrected grimly, "But it's too bad you didn't succeed. It would've been funny to see a girl give him what he deserves."
"Well then," Kittana laughed sadistically, "I'll just have to fulfill that now won't I?"
"Kittana," Kurama warned just as she had reached Kuabara's side.
"Yes niisan?" she asked innocently as she raised her foot above Kuabara's head.
"Please don't kill him. We'll need him in battle."
"No we won't," Hiei interjected quickly, "We won't need him because we have Kittana!"
"I propose a vote!" Kittana said finally. "Those who think I should rid the planet of this idiot, raise your hand."
Hiei, Kittana, and surprisingly Yuske raised their hands. Then after seeing everyone agreed, Kurama finally admited he was sick of Kuabara around. <After all,> he thought <he tried to put a move on my sister!>
Kittana raised her foot again, but stopped for a second as Kuabara's eyes opened, "Any last words?" Kittana asked with an insane smile on her face.
"Uhh... could staying alive be one?" he asked stupidly.
"No," Kittana said simply as she brought her foot down on his face, crushing the skull.
That night, as the four of them set up sleeping areas, Kurama decided to talk to Hiei. Hopefully, Kittana would fall asleep quickly because he didn't want her hearing their conversation.
Thankfully, she fell asleep in her tree hammock in seconds and Kurama approched Hiei.
"What do you want, Kurama?" Hiei asked softly as he heard the yuoko draw nearer to him.
"I had a few questions on my mind that I wanted to ask you."
"Then ask," Hiei muttered impatiently.
"You seem to enjoy Kittana's compainy so soon. Why?"
"Why? I don't know why. She's just so much like you it's just like having another you around. I guess it's just I'm used to you, so I got used to her a lot quicker than I would normally do."
"Makes sense, but you were also praising her. You've never even praised me on any of my abilities that you haven't attained."
"Becomming jealous of your sister, Kurama?" Hiei teased slightly. It would be hard for others to accept, but Hiei is just as friendly with Kurama as usual people are to friends.
"No, I was just wondering why."
"I really don't know the answer to this one. Something inside me made me compliment her. Would you know what would make me do that?" Hiei asked curiously.
Kurama nearly laughed, "It means you have a crush on Kittana, Hiei. What made you do it was the heart you've covered with iron."
"A crush? What's that?"
"And you said Kuabara was dense," Kurama teased, "It means you like my sister. As more than a friend I mean."
"Now that you mention it, I did feel different around her from when I'm just around you. I felt, weirdly enough, warm inside. It was weird. So what do I do about this 'crush' thing?"
"You wait until I talk to Kittana. I'll have to find out if she feels the same way. After all, you don't want to be rejected do you?"
"Not particularly, no," Hiei replied in agreement.
The next morning was pretty uneventful. They all woke up to Kittana sitting, looking quite bored, on a swing of vines. It took a few minutes before she realized they were awake because she was thinking. <What was with that dream last night! I've never dreamed of a guy before unless it was of when I was still in the pack with my brother. Maybe I do like him..... hmmmm..... maybe I should talk to Kurama about this. He's been around humans his whole life. He'll be able to help.>
When she realized they were looking at her while she was starring blankly at them, she jumped a little while mumbling an apology.
"No need to apologize, Kittana," Kurama said while smiling at his little sister.
"Kit," she said softly.
"What?" Kurama asked.
"Call me 'Kit', Kurama. It's my nickname."
"Alright, Kit."
"So, Kit," Yuske said happily, "will you be joining us or staying here?"
Kit thought for a second before saying, "I'll come with you guys. After all, I just found my brother again. That and I feel I should replace that idiot you were unfortunate enough to have to deal with."
<And talk to Kurama about my dream> she added in her mind.
As they walked on, it became easier to walk through because Kit moved the plants away to form a path. Kit saw that Hiei and Yuske were talking about who knows what and decided now was the best time to talk to Kurama. She didn't know, however that Hiei was listening intently for when she and Kurama would start talking. He was only putting up with Yuske's mindless banter in order for Kurama to talk to her, but hoped the former yuoko would be quick about it because he didn't know how much longer he could fiegn interest.
"Kurama?" Kit asked testingly.
"Yes, Kit, what is it?"
"I was wondering if I could talk to you about something. I thought now would be a good time because those two are talking."
"Of course. I'm always here to talk to, Kit."
"Okay! Umm.... I had a weird dream last night and was wondering if you could tell me what it might mean. Surely it means something because I've never had a dream like this before."
"I might be able to help," Kurama replied. He was quite curious now, "What was your dream about?"
"Well, I was walking in my forest, which is a normal begining to my dreams, but what happened next confuses me. I seemed to be looking for something. I continued to walk until I entered complete blackness. That blackness turned into a person in the distance. I ran to the person to see who it was and found Hiei. Then my dream self seemed to know its search was over and went to hug him. The odd thing was he hugged back. Do you know what it could be about?"
Hiei had listened to the whole thing. He smiled slightly when he realized that the dream must have ment she liked him, too.
Kurama voiced this thought to her by saying, "I think maybe it means you like him, Kit. I mean, you're searching for something.... love. The color is understandable because it's all Hiei ever wears. You hugging him was your mind showing you that you like him. Lastly, him hugging you back was an unconscience wish. Wishing for him to like you back, though i dare say, such strong dreams usually pronounce love. Which would be odd for anyone because you just met each other. Odd, but not unheard of."
Kit thought for a minute. <I did think that this morning, but wanted my niisan to assure me that what I thought might be true. I do feel strongly for Hiei. Almost exactly what I feel for Kurama, but a little different.>
Finally she said outloud, "Thank you, Kurama. You helped a lot!"
She walked ahead to the front of the group with a bright smile on her face. Hiei thought <She looks really cute when she smiles. Now to go talk to Kurama on what to say to her.>
Hiei walked up to kurama, "I suppose you listened in on the conversation, Hiei?"
"Did you expect anything else?" Hiei asked.
"No, not really. So now you want to know how to talk to her about it, yes?"
"How do you do that? Yes, I would like some help with talking to her."
"And the 'Great Hiei' asked for help!" Kurama declares amusedly.
"Shut up," Hiei muttered, "she might hear you. After all, she does have hearing like your's."
"Yes, yes, but what do you need help on? I'm going to need specifics if I'm going to help you."
"Everything! I don't know what I should say or anything!"
"You actually sound nervous. I know you can think of something to say. Why not ask her to go for a walk tonight? She used to always love walks and she probably still does. When she says yes, because I know she will, you wait until tonight. Before you leave for the walk, I suggest giving her a flower. Maybe I could make a black rose. Those were her favorite flowers and the color will remind her of you. How's that for advice?" Kurama asked after finishing his little advicing momment.
"Thank you, Kurama. Believe it or not, I am nervous. Even though I shouldn't be because I heard you both talking. I can't help but thinking things will go wrong however."
"Nothing will go wrong. Even if it does the worst that could happen is that you're not ment for each other and you will part as friends. Kit isn't one to hate someone even if they break up."
"That helps a lot," Hiei said, "I'll go ask her about tonight now."
Hiei made his way to Kit who was a ways in front of Yuske. <Good> he thought <at least Yuske won't hear anything. At least then he won't hear if she says no.>
"Hey, Kit?" He asked as he reached her side.
"Hai, what is it Hiei?"
"I was wondering if you might like to go for a walk with me tonight?" <There I asked.>
Kit thought before saying, "Of course!" while smiling.
"Okay, so tonight then."
With that he walks back to Kurama looking very happy.
When he gets back, Kurama said, "So I'll start with the rose. It should be done before you leave for your walk."
Hiei made a slightly annoyed noise, "Did you have to listen in on what I said? I could've done without more than one person hearing."
"I just felt like listening because I was bored," Kurama shrugged, "You also can't tell me you aren't happy I listened. If she had said no, I could've come up and started a separate conversation."
"I guess so," Hiei replied dejectedly.
That night, they ate dinner and then Hiei and Kit got ready for their walk. Kurama walked over to Hiei and handed him a black rose. Hiei looked at in wonder. He loved the color and roses just happened to be his favorite flowers, too. He walked up to Kit and gave her the rose and saw her eyes light up as she saw it. Obviously she loved roses as much as he did, but he wasn't expecting what she said.
"Thank you, Hiei! Black is my favorite color! Not to mention you used it on my favorite flower!"
"I didn't know you liked black," he said curiously, but now that he actually looked, she was wearing all black herself.
"Yup! My favorite color since I was a little kid."
"Okay, let's go."
They went down a path that Kit had made earlier for them. It was sided by many different flowers that could have only grown in many different climents. Hiei knew Kit had created the flowers because they were all un-natural colors like turquoise or blue roses and daisies. They walked for a while longer before they came to a small stream. The stream had a large willow tree that had lilacs hanging in the leaves growing. It must have taken Kit a long time to make this.
"Wow, Kit," was all Hiei managed to say.
Kit giggled a little before saying, "Well, Kurama helped me with the tree because I couldn't seem to make it look right."
"It looks nice," Hiei added comming up behind her.
She turned around blushing. They looked into each others eyes for a few seconds before Hiei bent down a little to kiss her. Kurama was watching from a tree near by and smiled. Finally Hiei had found someone. He was equally happy that it was his sister so he could be happy for both of them. He shifted a little, but made a slight noise that Hiei heard. He glanced up at Kurama and smiled. He pulled away from Kit.
He smiled before saying, "You can come out now, fox,"
"What?" Kit asked before Kurama jumped down from his tree. "Kurama! You didn't need to spy!"
"So I was curious about how things would work out between my only sister and my best friend. It's not like I were someone who would make a big deal out of you guys kissing."
"No, but the person standing behind you would," Hiei stated in an extremely angery voice.
Kurama turned to see Yuske who looked very surprised. When he regained his wits he said, "So I guess you guys will be going out now, right?"
Hiei looked at Kit who was smiling, "Yes, I suppose so," he replied with a mental smile.
Kit gave him a hug that he surprisingly returned. <I'm going to get used to this real fast> he thought with a sigh.
When they got back to camp, they all sat around the fire. As Kit walked by Hiei, he wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her into his lap. She snuggled against him and put her head on his shoulder with a smile. Kurama smiled at Hiei while Kit wasn't looking as if saying 'at least you got it out in the open.'
Hiei nodded in silent agreement then looked back to Kit. He smiled slightly as he saw she was asleep. He mumbled something about going to sleep and got up. Bringing Kit to her sleeping spot in a tree, Hiei made a spot to sleep close to her and just sat for a little while before drifting off into a peaceful sleep.
As the sun rose the next morning, Hiei opened his eyes to find back in his lap fast asleep. He smiled again at her sleeping form and stayed as still and quiet as possible so he wouldn't wake her. He thought it was funny because just yesterday she had been up long before anyone else had been, but today she was most likely going to be the last one to open their eyes.
Hiei finally got bored and took to stroking her hair while she slept. She smiled in her sleep and purred slightly. <She looks so innocent when she's asleep> he thought to himself. <So different from how she is when she's awake.>
He noticed the others were all awake and decided to wake Kit.
"Kit, time to wake up," he said softly while shaking her lightly.
Her eyes opened half way before she muttered, "Just five more minute, koi. It's too early."
Hiei laughed before flipping Kit off his lap onto the branch they were on.
"I said it's time to wake up, Kitten," he replied to her glare, "You wouldn't wake up on your own accord so I decided to help."
She got up laughing then said, "I guess I deserved that then. I'm usually up before the sun, not way after it. I guess I was just tired."
"Alright, maybe we should go down and have breakfast before we head out."
They jumped down from the tree branch and walked over to the rest of the group. Kurama and Yuske were starting a fire to cook their food on. Kit starred at the flames as they danced and began reaching her hand for them. Hiei and Kurama both noticed this and Hiei rushed forward to keep her from touching the, in Hiei's mind, true beauty that is fire. She seemed to fall out of whatever trance the flames held her in and shivered.
"What was that about, Kit?" Kurama asked. "Don't you know how deadly fire is, especially to controlers of plants?"
"I...I don't know what came over me," she whispered softly, "This always seems to happen around fire. I guess I'm just flat out fascinated with it. I mean, something so beautiful, yet a mere touch from it could destroy so much."
Kurama thought for a second before laughing slightly, "Well then, I guess you've chosen the right person for a boyfriend."
"What do you mean?" Kit asked looking between Kurama and Hiei confusedly.
"He means I'm a fire demon, Kitten," Hiei stated with a thoughtful smile, "And I guess it would make sense. You seem to have a natural attraction to fire and I'm a fire demon. So it could be that your senses subconsciously told you that I had something to do with fire hence leading you to fall in love with me."
"Well, I guess that makes sense. I've always gotten along with fire demons very well. So what about you, Hiei? Have any odd obsessions with plants?"
Hiei chuckled before replying, "The only obsession I have with plants is for a certain former yuoko."
Kurama laughed before saying, "Come on, Hiei. You always told me you thought the Rose Whip technique was interesting. You told me that..."
"Rose Whip?" Kit interupted. "What's a 'Rose Whip'?"
"You mean you've never used the technique?" Kurama asked with a surprised look on his face. "All fox yuoko can summon a Rose Whip. Let me show you."
He pulled out a rose and Kit watched as the petals flew away from the stem to reveal a whip that looked like a long, thorny rose stem. Kit looked surprised before recognition entered her eyes.
"I have a power kind of like that," she began, "but I use nightshade. It doesn't have thorns, but it can cut into anything and is extremely poisonous," she added with a small smile, "I find it quite amusing to watch them try to fight me after the poison takes effect. If they're smart they try to leave the battle to suck out the poison, but then I can just kill them easily. Most of them don't know they've been poisoned unitl they're almost dead and I tell them."
Kurama gave Kit a shocked look, "You find that amusing ?!"
At this momment, Yuske decides everyone needs to hear his opinion. He looks at Kit while saying, "That's a bit sadistic, isn't it?"
Hiei turned to him to answer, "Not to a fighter. I could see myself enjoying that. Kurama would've if he'd been fighting nearly all of his life like Kit has. A fighter developes a very dark sense of humor after a while. How long have you been fighting, Kitten?"
Kit thought for a second before replying, "I've been fighting since I was eight and I'm sixteen now, so about eight years. I was training even before that. So does training count?"
"Sure," Hiei said.
"Then thirteen years. I've been training since before I ran away."
"Jeez," Yuske said, "how old were you when you ran away? It sounds as if you ran away just after you were born from my point of view."
Kit blushed a little before answering, "I was five. Kurama had started training me the year before and that year he started redeveloping my memories of before I became human. He didn't mean for me to find out he was the reason I was forced into a less acceptive body. Whenever I asked him about it, he'd say 'that's what the point is in remembering. I can't tell you everything.' Needless to say, I remembered. I grew angery, but decided to talk to him about it because, Kurama, you are my big brother and the only thing I have left of my past besides my powers. We got into an arguement that ended in me running away. I felt as if I were only there right now because my brother wished that I be pulled away from the rest of the pack just like he had to be. Foolish as I was back then I should've realized that wasn't the case."
They walked on in silence for a little while. Hiei, surprisingly to Kurama, took Kit's hand as they walked farther. Kit looked up at him and smiled. She walked on, but came closer to Hiei. In a matter of seconds she was almost walking on his feet, but he didn't seem to notice. He was busy watching Kit. It was obvious to Kurama that Hiei was completely smitten with his little sister. Kurama smiled <It's good for Hiei to have someone special. I'm happy that its Kit. That'll make both of them happy.>
Yuske was at the front of the group also thinking <Damn. I wish I could've gotten to Kit first! She doesn't seem the type for Hiei. Especially when their elements are conflicting! She'd be better with me! I have to think of something to do to make her fall in love with me.>
Kit walked happily beside Hiei. He was thinking, well, more like wondering, about why Yuske was being so quiet. Kurama must have been thinking the same thing because he watched Yuske with a questioning look before turning to Hiei as if asking if he knew. Hiei shook his head.
Later that day, the group stopped for lunch Hiei and Kurama excused themselves from Yuske and Kit so they could talk.
"He hasn't said a single thing since our conversation about Kit's training. Even then he only said one thing. I don't believe he's said more than a full sentance since he saw you and Kit kissing," Kurama said curiously, "Maybe he likes her and wanted to get to her first."
"That better not be it!" Hiei growled viciously. "There'll be hell to pay if it is. Especially if he tries anything. I will kill him if he does, Kurama. I will kill him and neither of you would be able to stop me."
"I wouldn't stop you, Hiei. More than likely I'll help if he does try anything. For now, however, we'll just have to watch him closely. He hasn't tried anything as of yet."
They sat together watching Yuske talk to Kit. He must've said something funny because she laughed. She seemed absorbed in what he was saying because she didn't notice Kurama and Hiei were back until Hiei picked her up and put her in his lap again. Smiling at him, she lay her head on his shoulder and continued to listen to Yuske's story. It was about his fight against the fourth Saint Beast. Hiei and Kurama also listened attentively because they hadn't heard what happened while they were fighting the harvested humans.
"He was slipping himself into at least several of himself," Yuske said with relish, "All of them had the same attack strength of the original Beast."
Kit gasped, "That must've been terrible trying to fight them all!"
In her mind, however, she was rolling her eyes thinking <What a show off! If he wanted to impress me, it would've been more effective to act like Hiei does. He doesn't try get the attention of anyone who'll listen. That's why I love him so much.>
Hiei chuckled lightly so only he and Kit could hear it, "Take acting lessons, Kitten? Only people who are excellant actors or are actually interested in what he says can sound like that."
Kit blushed a bit before muttering, "I didn't take lessons. It just came naturally to me."
They listened to the rest of Yuske's story then decided it was time to go to sleep. Kit curled up in Hiei's lap again and fell asleep swiftly. Hiei stayed awake for a little while longer smiling at her as she slept. He quickly fell asleep too and stayed that way for the remainder of the night.
That morning, Hiei woke to the sunlight covering his sleep-filled eyes. He opened them and discovered that Kit was no longer in his lap sleeping. What he did notice however, was a note.
Hiei, bet you're surprised to wake up without your prescious Kittana. I have her and you can't really expect me to give her back without something in return now can you? What I want is you to fight me. If you win, I'll be dead and you'll have Kittana back. However, if I win, not only will you be dead, but she will be my little slave for the rest of her life. Which would be extremely fun. I know you won't pass up this opportunity. You won't just leave her to this fate. I have a feeling neither will Kurama.am looking forward to seeing you, Hiei. So is Kittana.me, Hiei? Thought you'd gotten rid of me for good, ne?

Hiei's eye twitched at the memory of the phsycotic youkai that nearly cost Hiei his life last time he fought him. He jumped down fromthe tree and rushed to Kurama and shook him awake.
"What's wrong, Hiei?" he asked tiredly.
"You remember Natako?" Hiei asked quickly.
"Hai, but what does that menal case have to do with waking me up?"
"He's kidnapped Kit."
"That bastard! I'll kill him! Where is he?!" Kurama raged which woke Yuske.
"What are you yellin' 'bout? 'S too early," he slurred as he made an attempt to go back to sleep.
"You imbicile!" Hiei roared. "Kit was kidnapped by my phsyco enemy and all you can do is sleep?!"
Yuske was wide awake now, "What! Kit? Kidnapped? We have to go now!"
"Hiei," Kurama asked, "do you know where he lives?"
"Yes."
Yuske looked over the letter before shouting, "Hey! You didn't read it through! There's more."

By the way, I want you to come alone. No Kurama, no anyone. If you try to bring someone else, I'll just have to kill little Kittana aren't I? I shall see you when you arrive.

"Damn him!" Kurama cursed loudly. "Damn him to hell!"
"Don't worry," Hiei assured him, "I'll bring her back and kill that worthless asshole."
Hiei ran off using his great speed to quickly get him out of the woods and to an old warehouse. It was a highly secluded place that would be perfect for hiding out because it was a rare occasion anyone got throught the forest in order to get there. You could thank Kit for that.
Rushing inside, Hiei noticed it was dimly lit and had many shadows for one to hide in. <Perfect,> he thought <not only did he give himself an advantage, but myself one as well.> He walked in further and the giant doors behind him slammed shut.
Then Hiei heard a creepy sounding voice begin to sing, "The worms crawl in, the worms crawl out. They squish and squirm all about. The worms crawl in the worms crawl out."
That voice was followed by manic laughter. The voice seemed to be comming from everywhere in the room.
"Nataco! Stop these foolish games and show yourself!"
All that replied was another verse of the song, this time louder. The sound of the song grew until Hiei was sure he was going to rip his ears of in seconds before he realized that's what Natako was trying to do. To get him so angry that he would make mistakes. He was not about to let that happen and risk not only losing his life, but Kit's freedom. He stood there and waited.
After about five more minutes of listening he asked, "Are you done yet? I'm getting rather bored."
"Ah! So little Hiei finally learned to control his temper! Congradulations! It's a boy!" Natako howled with laughter at his own joke.
"You're mad, Natako. Completely and utterly mad. Now come out and fight."
"Oh, but I *AM* out, Hiei," came a voice from behind him.
He spun around and punched, but missed. Running quickly, he dodged a hit from Natako tried punching again. This time he hit and Natako flew back into a wall. Hiei rushed to where he had fallen and continued to punch him until he started laughing.
"What is it about being hit you find so amusing, Natako?" Hiei said mockingly.
"Would the fact that if you kill me, you won't be able to find Kittana be enough for you?" He asked still laughing uncontrolabley.
Hiei's anger grew. He grabbed Natako's shirt collar and demanded, "Where is she. Either you tell me and I let you go, or I kill you and find her myself."
"I shall show you," he answered reluctantly, but the opption of freedom instead of death was better, "Follow me."
Hiei let him stand up, but kept a firm hold on him even though he knew he could easily catch him again if need be. Natako led him up a flight of stairs into what Hiei assumed was an attic and not another floor. He was led to almost to almost the very back of the room. He saw Kit tied to a chair blindfolded and looking very pissed.
"What do you want now, phsyco!" she yelled as she heard him come closer. "I swear the second I get out of this I'll tan your idiotic hide with my Night Whip and laugh at you while you suffer slowly!"
"I don't want anything," Natako growled, "but I believe your boyfriend does."
"Hiei? What are you talking about?"
"I'm hear, Kit," Hiei said softly.
"Goody! Now can you untie me please? I have a score to settle."
Hiei untied her and stepped back as she advanced on Natako. He looked like he was terrified and tried to turn and run, but Kit cut off his only way out.
"Now wait a second!" he demanded. "Hiei! You said I wouldn't get killed if I led you to her!"
"I said nothing of the sort," Hiei retorted, "What I said was that *I* wouldn't harm you. I never said anything about Kit. Now I'll just sit here and do nothing to harm you while watching Kit mutilate your body with her whip. Go ahead, Kit."
"Thank you, love," she replied while pulling out a small sprig of nightshade, "Night Whip!"
The small sprig grew into a long whip and Natako starred at it in horror. He knew what nightshade could do to people, having used it on many himself, but he wasn't ready to die by it. Finally realizing that if he didn't move fast, he'd be dead, he went to rush to the door. Kit cut him off again and said in a mocking tone, "Where are you going, Natako? You don't want to miss out on the fun do you? Because this fun is just beginning! Now I suggest you fight back or your death will be pretty pathetic indeed."
Natako decided that if he was going to die, he might as well die fighting which is a brilliant deduction from someone who was declared legally insaine. He held up a good fight because he was able to dogde Kit's whip for a while.
Finally, Kit faked to one sied and as Natako went the other way, she brought her whip quickly across his side. He fell to the floor and the poison the whip held worked quickly. Natako was dead within minutes and Kit stood there smirking at him before she took out a knife. Just before he passed out, she held it to his throat as if to kill him quickly instead of painfully slow.
"Well that's no fun if you're going to pass out!" Kit pouted childishly before grinning evily. "I guess I'll just have to wake you up!"
With that she took something out of her pocket and waved it under his nose. He woke with a start and stared at Kit in horror as she advanced on his now awake form.
"That's more like it! Can't have you asleep while I'm trying to kill you now can I?"
"Get away from me! I swear I won't do anything to anyone again!"
"Damn right you won't!" she exclaimed as she began slashing his body more with the whip.
After about five minutes of attacking a corpse, Kit was finally happy and turned to Hiei, "Let's go. I'm sure Kurama's wondering where we are. It's not good to worry him too long. He might try 2 come 'rescue' us."
"Alright, and next time, wake up when someone's trying to take you from me. It's hard to get you back from these phycos!" Hiei said jokingly.
"Deal."

yeah yeah! i *KNOW* Hiei's OOC! Deal with it! It's fits the story!
