Chapter 4

We Can't Lose

"Nidako," said Kaze. "You won't win."

"That's what you think," he said.

"No," said Tsuki. "That's what we know."

The three started the battle. Nidako made the first move. He charged at Kaze knocking her backwards. Kaze responded by using one of her ice attacks.

"You are gonna pay for that," said Kaze as she powered up. "Ice sword!"

Kaze's arm became encased in ice. She charged at Nidako but he whipped out a katana and blocked the attack. Tsuki attacked Nidako with one of her special attacks.

"Thorned Rose Petals!" said Tsuki as a cloud of razor sharp rose petals went toward Nidako.

Kaze was just a distraction so that Tsuki could power up. Kaze jumped out of the way before the rose petals could make contact. All of the rose petals hit him but only a few did damage.

"Tsuki!" yelled Kaze. "None of our attacks are working."

"You think I don't know that!?" Tsuki yelled back.

"We need a new plan," said Kaze as she cast a shield made of pure ice around them.

Nidako hit the shield with his arm. Because the shield was pure ice his arm froze.

"That's it!" yelled Tsuki.

"What's it?" asked Kaze.

"Can you put up a shield around him?" asked Tsuki.

"I could try but I can only have one shield stable at a time," said Kaze. Which means that I'd have to take down this shield."

"Just try," said Tsuki.

Kaze took down their shield and tried to create one around Nidako. It failed. Nidako charged at both of the girls knocking them both into the wall. The force of the impact knocked Tsuki out, and Kaze was just barely staying concious. Then a figure ran into the room.

"Nidako!" she said. "I will not let you harm these girls!"

"I think it's to late for that," said Nidako. "Now leave or I shall kill you as well."

"Not gonna happen," said the girl. "Wind Chains!"

A bunch of chains came out of the girls hand and wrapped around Nidako.

"Winds of Hell!" she yelled.

The girl blew over her right hand and flames came shooting out, followed by a great wind causing the flames to double in size. Nidako was burned to a crisp. Never to be seen again. The girl walked over to Kaze and checked to make sure she was okay. Then she walked over to Tsuki and woke her up. They all walked to the room where Alex, Keera, and Tsuki's mother. When Tsuki saw her mother she ran into her arms and started crying.Alex and Keera walked over to Kaze and the mysterious girl.

"Thank you for saving us," said Kaze. "Who are you?"

"I'm Neh Himura," she said.

"Would you like to join our team?" asked Alex. "We were invited to a tournament but we need five people on our team."

"Sure," said Neh. "Let's get back to Ningenkai."

"Right," said Keera. "Tsuki we're going home now. You two planning to join us?"

"Yeah," said Tsuki. "Let's go mom."

And with that they all went back to Ningenkai, Tsuki had her mother back and they finally had a team.
