Kuron came about two days later. (me: big mistake) He said to Hiei who was still holding back his anger "Youko got pretty banged up, if he would follow his own rules and leave all those who fall behind". Hiei looked at Niai trying to catch fish from the pond and for the first time saw something shining under the water. They looked like the crystals that came from tears but he kept his mouth shut until Kuronue walked over to her. He was smiling a seductive smile. Hiei wanted to kill him for trying something like that but provoking the wrath of Youko stopped him. Niai looked up, she glared at Kuron, then she slapped him hard across the face.
Her eyes were glowing bright red. She wasn't smiling. Niai pulled her hand back to hit him again but Hiei intervined. He liked the idea of Niai hitting Kuronue but it wasn't like her to just go right out and slap someone. Even if that someone is Kuronue. Hiei grabbed her arm in midswing. Kuronue took the hint and ran for it. Niai still in a stare down with Hiei let him leave. Hiei took one look in to Niai eyes, they were still glowing red. Hiei said irritated "i have got a right mind to ask you whats with the red eyes." Niai blinked and her eyes when back to normal. she looked at him and said wondering "what red eyes?" Hiei still holding her wrist said "your eyes were glowing red."
He worry showed in his voice no matter how hard he tried to hide it. Niai looked at him like he just said something that could never happen. Hiei, still a little worried asked "so, why are there crystals in the lake?" Niai replied with a shrug. Hiei just decided to drop it.
Hiei awoke late one night. Looked down to see Niai shaking, winter wasn't too far off and he knew it. He was a fire/ice apparition so the cold didn't effect him much. He let his mind forget the evil in her eyes that one day. She looked very cold, he jumped down from his tree and walked over to her. She stopped shaking slightly when Hiei stepped close to her, he sat down trying to think of something to do. Youko would be there if it weren't for the fact that he got injured in a rubbery. Hiei wondered why Kuron hadn't showed up either.
Hiei finally gave up and pulled her into his lap. She felt warm to him as she sat there sound asleep. He soon drifted off, against a tree and awoke to a beautiful sunrise. He looked down, in his arms rested Niai. He looked from Niai to the sunrise.
He never really looked at the sunrise because his life wasn't exactly "perfect". I mean his parents abandoned him at a young age so he was always alone, until now, but his mom did give him that neckless with her tear crystal on it and he did have a sister somewhere. He wondered to himself why he cared if Niai was cold or not. Why he even stayed, could he actually like her or did she just grow on him. He didn't know but he quickly move Niai out of his lap before she awoke there. Then he would have alot to explain.
Niai started to stir. As she opened her eyes she said half asleep "the sunrise *yawn* is pretty don't you think." Hiei gave her a look that said why should I even care. Niai yawned again. She was mumbling something under her breathe. Hiei didn't bother to ask. She suddenly asked him "where's Youko?" Hiei didn't know how to respond, so he just said I don't know. Niai guessed that he was probably hurt. When Hiei wasn't looking she ran for the exit and made it. Hiei saw her leave he wondered if he should just let her leave. He let her go anyway.
She walked down the road and thinking to herself do I even know where Youko's camp is. She walked and on the way passed this old demon. He wore a cape and limped. She walked right passed him and didn't think twice. When she finally reached the camp. Niai looked left then right, she walked right into their camp. A handsome young demon stopped her, his ears twiched a little and then he asked her what she was doing. When she responded I'm going to see Youko. The demon named Typhu laughed right in her face. This really irritated her, so she just tried to walk around him. He looked her dead in the eyes and said "I don't know who you think you are but Youko die in a robbery not to long ago." Niai had a shocked look in her eyes, Youko dead? how is this possible?
She made a run for the path. Typhu didn't stop he just looked after her in pity. As she was running her tears made a trail right behind her. She felt a sharp pain in her shoulder. She turned to see the cloked old man but his hood was down and the limp, gone. He wasn't old at all but very young no older then Hiei. Hiei flashed through her mind, this man was going to kill her. Niai turned and ran as fast as she could with the hurt shoulder. As she ran he ran faster and before she knew what happened. She was on the floor, bleeding vast amounts of blood. A picture of Hiei was the last she saw.

Hiei got a stinging filling in his back. This told him that something was wrong. He decided that he would meet Niai half way. As he walked the smell of death filled his senses, but there was something familar about this death. He continued down the road until he saw a stain in the road where blood should rest. He looked to the right and there was something there that he wish wasn't. Niai laid face down in the mud. The back of her shirt was drenched with blood.
Hiei just looked at her, walked over to her. Hiei picked her up she was still warm. Her eyes were open and you could still see the pain. He heard a kind of laugh that made even the strong tremble. Hiei turn to see a young man looking at him. The man was carrying a jar full of dark red blood. Hiei guessed that he was the one who killed Niai. Without thinking Hiei closed Niai's eyes and pulled out his sword. He turned and sliced the man cheek and grabbed the jar. The man looked pissed, Hiei quickly shattered the jar, Niai's blood pored from the jar mixing with the ground.
Hiei could hear someone calling him. He turn to see Niai gone and a certain fox in her place. Hiei quickly looked around, Kurama had a concernd look on his face. When Hiei responded to the look by yelling "what!!!". Kurama remained calm and said "you were yelling Niai and I'll kill you at the top of your lungs." Hiei blushed a little then realized that he was on the floor.
Kurama shook his head and said "Who is this Niai anyway" his question was answered with a look of hatred from Hiei. Kurama sigh and said "fine don't tell me anyway i have school to get to, so stay out of trouble, ok?" Hiei said "hn" and reclimbed his tree thinking why am I remembering her now? Kurama yelled back as he was walking away "Hiei watch mother for me please" when he got no response he yelled "thank you".
On Kurama's way to school he got mobbed by five different groups of girls. (me: poor Kurama). He just made it to class with his clothes still on. The teacher, Mr. Tryu, said "there will be a new .. wait two new students today ... let me see oh yes their names are Aaron and Jewel Rihu." Kurama didn't even bother looking up all he did was think oh-great more girls. They were twins, both about 5'4, had brownish red hair, but one had green eyes while the other had blue. One had long hair while the other had short. Kurama wasn't sure which was which. The one with blue eyes had a longer skirt then the one with green eyes. When the teacher was calling for someone to show them around, everyone raised their hands execpt Kurama.
The teacher said over all the talk "OK how about Suichi?" Everyone moaned and mumbled that they really don't like him. He wanted to say that he didn't want to, but when he finally looked up their was something familar about them. He couldn't place it but when the one with blue eyes sat next to him he had to ask which girl she. She looked at him and looked like she wanted to answer but something wouldn't let her. The other sat in front of him and heard the question. She smiled at him then whispered "I'm Jewel and that's Aaron... she doesn't talk too much... came to think of it she doesn't talk at all."
Aaron looked cabable of talking but maybe looks aren't everything. Jewel made friends quickly but Aaron was a loner, the only people she ever looked in the eyes were Jewel and Kurama. Not even the teachers were graced with her eye contact. By the end of the day no one even remembered that Jewel had a sister.
Kurama was walking home when he saw Aaron sitting in the middle of a field. She was staring at a soccer net. He walked over and sat down, she looked at him and thought *I miss soccer*. Kurama look at her amazed and said "it's football here not soccer." Aaron had a irritated look on her face, and was thinking *it's soccer*. Kurama looked just as irritated and said "foot ball". This when on for about 10 minutes. Until Aaron's pack started to smoke.
A little black and red dragon came out and flamed Kurama's face the yelled "it's soccer." Then baried itself back into her pack. Aaron smiled and stuck her tounge out at Kurama. He sneezed and ash went every which way. Kurama looked at the pack then back at Aaron and asked "what was that." She reasponed by pulling the dragon out of her pack. The dragon's eyes squinted in the sunlight.
Then it did the impossible, it said "I'm char, I'm a gardian dragon." Kurama just watched as the dragon climbed up on his shoulder and nipping at his ear. Aaron quickly grabbed it back and looked out at the exit. Yusuke was standing there. He yelled "hey Kurama came here... please." Aaron gave the boy next to her a weird look that screamed "who's Kurama?" Kurama ran over to Yusuke with a look that is normaling on Hiei's face. Aaron was watching trees blown in the wind behind the two. when a black flash caught her eye. She ran after it, forgetting her bag and the dragon.
Hiei followed Yusuke, and when he heard him call Kurama, he ran. As he ran he felt someone following him. He stopped to see who it was, a girl he'd never seen before. She wear loose fitting jeans, her hair was tied up in a pony tail, she had on a tang top with the word "why help the world when..." and on the back "it's going to die anywhere". Hiei had to smile at the shirt but corrected his mistake. She walked right up to his face, this made him jump back a few feet. Jewel came running after Aaron yelling "Aaron dad wanted us home 15 minutes ago."
Aaron turned to her then to Hiei he was gone. Hiei was watch from a near by tree. He saw Jewel's eyes as she came running up. They were green he hated green eyes. He never told Kurama this but it hurt Hiei to be around him. Jewel pulled Aaron back toward where the field rested. Hiei went back to where Kurama and Yusuke are at.
Kurama was holding Char in his hand. Hiei gave him a what in the name of hell is that look. Kurama just smiled and tossed her to him and said "hold this for me ok Hiei." Hiei just held Char for a second before it flamed Kurama and then went back to sleeping on Hiei's hair. Kurama laughed but then Hiei put the dragon on the floor and left. Kurama picked it up and said "ok, i will give you back to Aaron tomorrow, ok?"
*that night*
Hiei picked Niai's limb body up and started to walk to her favorate clearing. As he walked he could sense the other demons near by. They wanted to eat her flesh, but Hiei wouldn't let that happen. He set her down in the lake by the clearing. She sunk deep into the water. A bubble was the last Hiei saw of Niai. Hiei turned to leave and came face to face with Typhu. Typhu said "you know Youko and Kuronue are dead right?" Hiei answered his question with a glare.
Typhu grind "so that was Youko's sister wasn't it?" he was looking over to the lake. Hiei just walked passed him. Typhu grinned again and said "good bye Hiei, be forever alone", with that he was gone. Hiei just kept walking in the dark until an old demon said that he could help him find whatever it was he lost.
Hiei shot awake at hearing Kurama calling his name. When Hiei looked down Kurama was there with a more worried face than the morning before. He had that stupid dragon with him. Hiei just jumped away in to another tree. His head hurt too much, to listen to Kurama's worrying. When he looked back at the tree he was just on, it was black like it had been burn. Hiei sighed and thought *at this rate i'm going to kill some one in my sleep... i hate that idea why?*.
Kurama wondered what was getting into Hiei to make him dream. He sighed and looked at the dragon sleeping in his arms, He mumbled "do you just sleep all day?". His question was answered with a snort and a bite on the hand. He patted the dragon and went on his way to school.
Hiei wondered why he was dream about "her" he hadn't dreamed about her since the eye was put in. He never even dreamed of Yukina anymore. Hiei always retreated into the trees more and more. Hiei stopped at Genki's to see if she could do anything to get rid of these dreams. He walked in to the main room or living room as it is formal know. Yukina was there she smiled at him and all he did was ask "where's Genki." He wasn't poilte either. Yukina still smiling said "she is training in a clearing near by."
