The Pregnant Disease Chapter 5: Nightmares or Reality?

Hiei was fighting, quite well at first, but grew over confident, like he always does. It was in the middle of a comment of his that two winged creatures attacked him. Taken by complete surprise, he was cut, gashed, and thrashed about between the two demons. Then others came along, and seemed to be saying something to him.

It was hard to understand, but all that could be known was that these demons hated him. They started to get closer, and closer to him, surrounding Hiei, and preparing to attack him. They were going to…

"No, Hiei," Kurama yelled in fright. Yusuke, being awake at the time, was the one to come running in, and immediately stated, "Hiei get your damn hands off of…oh…what happened? Why did you scream?"

"I had a nightmare that Hiei was fighting, but he was caught off guard, and then, and then…he was going to be…" yet the green-eyed boy was unable to finish the rest of the sentence, for he started to cry.

"Hey, don't worry. I doubt Hiei would get caught off guard. You know his Jagan and all. Besides, he wouldn't be carelessly fighting anyone right now. He's probably taking a damn nap in a tree," Yusuke started to reason.

"I know but…I just…Yusuke…could you, stay with me tonight," he then asked.

"What do you mean stay with you? I am staying with you," the other boy said confused. What confused him even more were the embrace he soon felt, and a sobbing Kurama on his chest.

"Oh, you mean *stay* with you. If it will help, yeah, I'll stay with you," Yusuke then stated, trying his best to comfort his friend.

[Meanwhile…]

"Yes, rip him to shreds," Atsui started to yell, and cackle as Kalina and Jiji flew by scratching and ripping at Hiei. They had stayed quiet in the air, while the others distracted him, and were now having all the fun they wanted with him.

"I wonder, how much do you think we can get with just his head," Nigatsu asked the leader of the group. He received a glare, and then the response of, "Don't tell me you joined us for just his bounty! He has done so much to us all!"

"What bounty? What I said was, `will anyone miss him,'" he then stated to cover up. His leader was very hot-tempered and complex, yet at the same time dumb, and he was thankful when his leader just laughed.

Kaze, the only one who had yet to really move or attack, was listening to what Hiei was thinking. It was very informing…

/I must…survive…for…Kurama…our child…I…I… / Hiei thought in desperation. As he was thinking, plans started to form within Kaze's head, and he soon started to walk off into the forest.

"Where do you think you're going Kaze? We have yet to kill this bastard," Nigatsu yelled towards the odd demon. He didn't receive an answer.

"Jiji, follow him! Find out what he's up to," Atsui commanded, and answered her question quickly by stating, "We will handle him from here."

"Not before I handle you," the fire demon known as Hiei yelled releasing, his most powerful attack…

[Back to Kurama's.]

"Okay, yeah, just throw up like you should Kurama. Yeah…woah! That is a lot of…something. Damn! What did you eat," Yusuke and Kuwabara started to freak out, as one of them was holding his hair back.

After he was done, Kurama went back to his room to take a nap, and this left the other two boys to talk amongst themselves.

"So what type of nightmare did he have last night," Kuwabara asked concerned.

"It was about Hiei, and him being killed while fighting. I think you should go ask Koenma, since he likes you more, and find out what's up with him. Other than that, we'll both have to just keep this a secret and not let Kurama know about it."

"Okay, I'll go ask Genkai if she knows anything too." With that being said, one of the boys left to go find out, while the other stayed to make sure the pregnant one was okay.

[Within the forest area near the open, and after the attack.]

"Noooo-" Jiji started to yell, but Kaze grabbed her before she was swallowed up in the attack. Bringing her close, he then whispered, "It would be wise if we both run away from here, and let him think he killed us to. Your sister and the others are dead. There is nothing we can do about that."

"What shall we do then? Let him get away with this," the batgirl (no pun intended) asked, tears starting to fall down her face.

"Don't worry, I have a plan for our revenge," was her answer, and he soon told her what he had in mind.

[To the open area, which is now destroyed, and in ashes.]

/No one…could have survived…I must return…to…Kurama, / Hiei thought tiredly. He was bleeding badly, and the attack made him more exhausted than he already was. Still, his need to see Kurama was stronger, and was his main motivational force.

What do you think of that? Yep, I wanted to at least have some more bad guys, so I kept two of the ones that Misao made alive. Sorry if I didn't show what the other demons are really capable of doing, but I don't know them that well.
