Warnings: Some cute baby-ness, and a few other things I forgot right now.

The Pregnant Disease Chapter 11: Babies…

"What type of names are Rose and Bud," Kuwabara asked dumbfounded. Indeed, the others were just as surprised with the names Hiei gave his offspring.

"Oh, those are such adorable names," Yukina then stated. She thought they were extremely cute. Yusuke agreed as well by saying, "Yeah, if you put their names together it spells rosebud!"

The glare he was given quickly shut his laughter. Either way, the others were now allowed to see the two bundles. The boy was still asleep, but the girl was awake sucking on a pacifier she had been given. She seemed a bit more active than her sibling.

"What did the nurse say," Genkai asked calmly.

"Even though they were born one month premature, they are healthy enough to be taken home now, but Kurama is still in surgery. He will have to stay here for a few days in recovery-" Hiei started to explain, but was interrupted by Yusuke's question, "They found where the blood clot is?"

"Yes, they have, but he has still lost an enormous amount of blood, and will have to stay in the hospital for a few days longer," Hiei finished. This brought everyone's mood down a bit, but they were relieved that they had found the clot.

"Hey, at least now you can take them home! Now let's go," Yusuke stated trying to brighten up the situation.

"I agree, staying around here will do nothing for us. It would be best to get your offspring to a better place they can rest at," Koenma agreed. Knowing they should go, but not wanting to leave Kurama, Hiei reluctantly started to leave the hospital with the rest of his friends.

"Hiei, may I hold them? I need to know what youkai they both have," Koenma asked once they arrived at Genkai's. The others didn't want to have the fire demon go home alone, and felt it would be better with them to support him. Koenma's request wasn't given, and knowing why, Genkai stated, "His Jagan should be able to sense that faster than you can."

Gently laying his little bundles down, Hiei unwrapped his third eye. It was then that Bud awoke, and a third eye on his forehead appeared, as well as a pair of bright green eyes. Rose had a third eye as well, but she was crying loudly. Quickly, their father wrapped his Jagan, grabbed, and started to rock his daughter.

"I was unable to find out what youkai they have, because it was hurting her. All I can say is that Bud's third eye isn't as powerful as Rose's," Hiei explained. Said Rose had calmed down, and both of their small Jagans closed up. This now left Bud with being wide awake, and trying to roll around.

"He has eyes like Kurama," Yusuke stated, helping the baby to role around. Little Bud made a few laughing noises as the black haired boy started to tickle him softly. Then Rose was placed on the ground, next to her brother, and she just stared around at her surroundings. Everyone was surprised at how active the little ones were for being born one month premature.

"They look they are a few months old already," Botan mentioned, and all looked towards Hiei. Perhaps his Jagan increased their growth or energy. Either way they could tell the difference between the two small demons. For Rose started crying in frustration, as she couldn't coordinate herself to crawl. Bud on the other hand, was very satisfied with sucking on his fingers.

[A few days later.]

A loud wail was heard, and one had to feel sorry for Hiei, because his daughter's cry could be heard throughout the house; he was in the same room. Quickly picking her up, he tried to find a way to quiet her down, so his son didn't join in. Luckily for him, she only needed a diaper change.

Even though he wasn't as grossed out as he was the first time he did this, he still found it to be disgusting. All that…crap, coming out of such a little thing. Shaking his mind off of it, Hiei placed Rose back in the crib she shared with her brother, and he found Bud was about to start crying himself.

"And what's wrong with you? You hardly ever whimper, let alone cry," the fire demon stated. He heard a little growling noise, and found out the reason. Bud was hungry…again. Both babies had several different traits.

Rose would always cry first, and very loudly. She liked wondering about, sucking on her little pacifier, and exploring basically. There were times when she would get frustrated and show a little temper that was quite cute. Kuwabara and the others stated it was from her father, which, they didn't want to risk saying. When upset she liked being held, and enjoyed being carried.

Bud also enjoyed being carried. He was the one that ate the most, smiled the most, and rolled about the most. Unlike his sister, who would explore, when left alone, he disliked being left all by himself. That was the only thing he ever cried about, as well as falling off the bed once.

"It's amazing on how much noise they make now doesn't it," Yusuke stated walking casually into the room. He startled Hiei, but only briefly.

"It shows they have powerful lungs," the brown-eyed boy stated again, as the fire demon sat in a rocking chair. He continued feeding Bud, and allowed the other boy to look at Rose who was still awake.

"She is a whole lot like you. Don't you think? And Bud's a whole lot like…never mind," Yusuke stopped himself.

"Like Kurama. You can say it. I'm not hurt by the mentioning of his name. I know he wouldn't just die on me, or our offspring," Hiei finally stated back. He knew the other boy didn't say his lover's name, because he was afraid it would affect him emotionally. Truth be told it did, but he didn't want to appear weak or receive sympathy from his friends about the matter…
