***********************************Bust'a move, my homie G!***********************************

(Lol, see I really don't have a life!)

Kurama sighed and placed a cold rag onto the brunette's head in front of him.

She was just getting over another fever. It surprised him that she had been up and about so shortly after she was shot. Keiko had been luck that the bullet hadn't gone too deep into her body, or else she would be in some serious pain.

Yusuke was standing next to him, a stern look on his face. "Is she okay?" he asked Kurama as he stood up. He gave Yusuke a weak smile and tossed him some Aspirin.

"She's just getting over her fever. Give Keiko two of those once she wakes up. Yusuke, she's lost a lot of blood," he paused, glancing back at the girl in the bed. "She's going to be quite weak for a while. I stress that if she mentions a dizzy spell, you get her in that bed," Kurama finished, looking his friend the eyes.

Yusuke nodded and thanked the red headed man. He waited for Kurama to leave until her turned to Keiko's sleeping form. He had to admit that she had looked better. Her color was paler than he liked and she looked so exhausted. Yusuke had never felt so bad in his life; it was his fault she was shot. He should have had more control over the situation.

Keiko stirred slightly, her face displaying discomfort. Yusuke sat at the edge of bed as her eyes slowly began to open. She blinked several times, her large brown eyes adapting to the light of the room. Groaning, Keiko turned her head to look up at Yusuke.

"What happened?" she demanded.

Yusuke grinned. "Persistent, aren't we?" he joked, watching her closely. Keiko rolled her eyes at him. "You passed out from a fever. I asked Kurama to held yah, feeling any better?" Yusuke asked as he pulled out the Aspirin. Keiko nodded and sat up on her elbows. She cringed slightly as heat passed through her stomach.

"He said to give you two of these once you woke up," he said, handing a glass of water and the pills to the brunette. Keiko sighed and counted to three before popping the medicine into her mouth and swallowing.

Keiko wrinkled up her nose and brushed her hair behind her ears. "I hate doing that." She grumbled, smiling up at her friend. Yusuke shook his head at her, smirking.

Silence settled between them, but something came to her mind.

"Can I have my necklace back, Yusuke?" she asked, eyes resting on his face. Yusuke nodded and reached into his pant pockets, pulling out the silver chain.

He was about to hand it to her, when he pulled it back.

"What are you going to give to me?"

Keiko's eyes widened at him in disbelief. "Yusuke, that's not funny! I don't have anything." She spat playfully, furrowing her brow. Yusuke raised his brow, a menacing grinning plastered on his face.

Keiko narrowed her eyes at him. "What are you playing at Yusuke Urameshi? Hey! Don't look so confident, it doesn't suit you." She added a-matter-of-factly.

Yusuke was still grinning as put the necklace back in his pocket.

"I think I'll hold on to this for a while."

Keiko sighed a `Whatever' and relaxed back into the bed. He still insists on teasing me! She grumbled inside, watching Yusuke as he left her bedside and was messing around with something on his table. Keiko mentally shook her head at him and turned her attention to the ceiling.

Well Keiko, you went over all the things you wanted to tell him once you saw him again, and here were are and you won't open your mouth, she chided herself. There was a small rumble in her tummy, letting her know she needed food.

Cursing to herself, she used all her strength to sit up ignoring the throbbing headache that was beginning to make itself more apparent. Yusuke turned to her, watching with interest. "Do you think I could have something to eat?" she asked him, rubbing her temples to ease the pain.

"Oi, Keiko I forgot about that! Sorry!" he said hurriedly, sweat-dropping. Keiko felt like giving him a good smack.

"Nani?" Keiko's voice went shrill, "Yusuke what do you think I eat, Dust mites!?"

Yusuke gave her an apologetic look and set off out the door, leaving her dumbfounded.

*********A few minutes later************

Yusuke returned with something that looked like soup. He the tray down and looked around the room for any sign of Keiko. "Where the hell did she go?" he asked aloud, annoyance apparent in his voice. She shouldn't be up, he groaned, heading out to the hallway. He walked for a couple of seconds before he came across her. Keiko was leaning on the windowsill, her eyes unfocused and looking out the window at the night sky.

He watch in awe for sometime, his eyes taking in the glowing angel before him. He might be a stubborn jackass, but this was one of those times that he could most definitely shut up and admire how…beautiful Keiko is. After some moment passed, she blinked and appeared to realize exactly what she was doing.

Keiko turned to see Yusuke staring at her and her face flushed.

"I didn't see you there. Sorry, I just got bored and decided to take a look around." She told him, moving slowly away from the sill.

Yusuke shook his head and was brought back to reality. He nodded at her and guided her slowly back to his room. He ha been half tempted to just carry her, but Keiko refused and said it would help her heal. Yusuke had just rolled his eyes and grumbled to himself.

**************************************************************** ************************************

"I could care less if they're pissed off. I have to get back to where I was!" she spat at him, her stern mask back on her face. Yusuke was getting angry. He and Keiko had gotten into a heated fight about her leaving. He had told her that if he let her leave, his followers would be beyond pissed.

"Keiko listen, I can't let you go, at least not now. Wait for a while, stay with me. I promise I won't let anyone touch you. You'll be perfectly safe with me…" he told her, his dark eyes looking deep into hers.

Keiko's expression darkened. Her wound was pretty well healed, well not really, but she could at least move around now. She was so furious that Yusuke wouldn't let her return home! It's not like she wouldn't come back to see him! Keiko just had to be sure that everything was okay back at the school. Not to mention that Natoku would be there in two days! Sucking in her air, she snapped bitterly at him, "So I can get shot again, I don't think so."

Suddenly, Keiko became very aware of a strong hold on her wrist. She looked down at it, shocked. He was actually being forceful with her? "Yusuke, let go of me," She said coolly, hoping her voice sounded calmer than her heart. But Yusuke didn't, he continued to hold her with a frozen expression.

Keiko began to feel slightly panicked. Her eyes were wide as she eyed him, swallowing a whimper as it rose in her throat. "Keiko will you just listen to me for one second?!" he growled, but she just tried to pull her wrist back.

Yusuke's grip tightened. He gently pushed her against the wall.

"Listen Keiko, you raided our supply room! It's not like they knew it was a woman..." he said, teeth clenched. `Wrong answer…' Keiko said to herself. She could feel anger rise in her stomach and blood rise to her cheeks. (A.N What a great thing to say to woman, that's just asking for an ass kicking, ne?)

"So if they knew they wouldn't have shot me? Well, that makes everything better. Besides, if you weren't so easy to break into, I wouldn't have raided your supply room." She said proudly, trying to be cocky. Keiko must enjoy pissing him off; cause she was very good at it…(like always)

Yusuke breathed in and out, trying to calm his anger. "Listen Keiko, you really don't have a choice in the matter. You can't leave." He told her, his eyes focused on her own.

Keiko inhaled her breath. " As soon as I'm healed, it'll be impossible to keep me here. I've learned a few tricks from Kuwabara and Natoku. I guaranty it." She told him simply. `Two weeks, that's the longest…if I stay one day longer Kuwabara will come for me.' She told herself. Stress was building on her shoulders; if something happened to her friends or the kids, there'd be hell to pay.

Keiko had been glancing at the ground as she spoke and now that she peered up to take a look at Yusuke, she wished she hadn't.

"Why in the Hell are you in anyway, associating with Natoku Iroku! That bastard has caused me more problems then he's worth!" he spat at her. Keiko noticed how angry he looked. What had Natoku done? He was a supporter of the Rebel Angel's. He wasn't a part of it but he supported her and her cause.

"He's a friend and a protector. When he and his men need help, I help them anyway I can, and in return they protect us." She said slowly, fearing she might say something to tick off Yusuke. Yusuke's expression showed bits a jealousy, his anger was growing and he applied more pressure to Keiko's body and the wall behind her.

"If I let you go Keiko, you and your Raider friends will stay away from Iroku! He's no good! He'll do anything to get what he wants, and I'm guessing his kind services towards you will come with a larger payment in time…" Keiko interrupted.

"You have NO right tell me who I can see and who I can't!" She eyed him darkly, "You ran off three years ago to join this stupid gang. I didn't! And another thing, I am not a Raider!" she spat at him, knuckles whiting. The heat from his body pressed so firmly against her was causing a problem, she couldn't move, let alone squirm free. She pushed against him, and in return she had no luck.

Yusuke watched her fiercely, his jaw clenched as he spoke. "What are you a part of then?" he asked, his voice chilling her to the bone. Keiko shook her head and refused to answer him. This only angered him more. He applied more pressure to her body, coming so close to her that she could feel his heavy heart beat through his shirt. Her eyes widened, gasping as she felt the fire burning in her stomach.

Keiko groaned and finally gave up. "I am a Rebel Angel. SO please, return my necklace." She told him quietly, eyes focused on the floor beneath her. (A.N. Just to let you know, the Rebel Angels cause HUGE problems with gangs, you'll read why later.) Yusuke's eyes widened and he slowly backed away from Keiko.

"A Rebel Angel? Are you just asking to get yourself killed?" he said quietly, but slowly. Yusuke's words contained sorrow. `She's crazy! A Raider is bad, but a Rebel Angel? Does she want to be killed?' Yusuke's anger began to drain just as quickly as it stirred. His voice softened slightly as he looked down at the woman before him.

"Keiko, why would you become something so dangerous? Do you know what my men would do if they found out?" he told to her. Yusuke's face was angry, but it was a sort of hollow anger, one that he couldn't back up with emotion. Keiko sighed and slowly lifted her eyes to meet his, noting that his expression held his classic look of worry he always had towards her. She inhaled her breath lightly, walking past him to the bed.

"Don't you think I know it's dangerous? But someone has to protect those kids…especially, when there are the Innocent. I know the dangers." She said, looking closely into his eyes, admiring how handsome they made him look.

It was almost funny how one minute they could be biting each other's heads off in a heated argument, then the next smiling at each other again. Keiko smiled mentally, But that's how its always been. We both have the same stubborn fire in us! Yusuke seemed to have lost sight on the fact that they had just been bickering a second ago and came to sit next to her.

There was that stupid silence between them again, but this time Yusuke was the one to break it. "I'm sorry Keiko-chan, I've been a jackass." He admitted quietly, a small defeated sigh escaping his lips. Keiko looked up at him in surprise.

"The great almighty Urameshi Yusuke has just heartily apologized to me. My life has been complete!" she announced, smiling brightly at him. Yusuke groaned and rolled his eyes at her.

"Don't make me regret it, okay?" he grumbled, scratching the back of his head.

Keiko laughed lightly and ran her fingers through her hair. She couldn't help but realize that Yusuke had, in fact become a man. Keiko paused in her thoughts and looked over at him. Erm, maybe I'm pushing it there

Yusuke sat silently next to her. He ran his hand through his dark, slicked black hair; staring at her with all intensity as he could manage.

"Keiko…you can't care for the Innocent. If someone other than your followers found out, you would be killed. You'd be better off just letting them go and be caught or have them turn themselves in." he told her, eyes boring into her own.

Keiko sighed. There goes my peaceful moment! She rested her head on Yusuke's shoulder. Her eyes became unfocused and hollow as she laced herself in thought.

"I wish things were back to normal. I wish we could we could be regular kids again, me studying, and you causing constant trouble." Keiko laughed.

"I even miss you being a pervert; just as long as we were us again." She whispered softly. Keiko let one tear glide swiftly down here cheek.

Not so long ago, she was slapping him for pulling up her skirt, or pinching her waist or bottom. She missed screaming at him for smoking, and how he would curse at the teachers. A smile teased her lips as recalled how she always chided him being late, or laughing at him. That's what she missed the most. Yusuke Urameshi, local punk, being her best friend. God how Keiko longed she'd wake up one day and Yusuke would be downstairs at her house, pigging out on the ramen that her parents spoiled him with. Then that stupid disease had to come around and kill almost everyone…it just wasn't fare.

"Keiko please don't cry..."

Keiko sniffled and smiled when she felt Yusuke wipe away the tears from her face. As if knowing what she was thinking, he frowned, but he held her firmly by the shoulders. Yusuke's dark eyes poured into hers, urging her to find comfort in what he said. "Keiko you have to understand, hiding the Rebels can cause huge problems for you. It's like you want to be killed!" he told her. Keiko smiled at him.

`Looks like you have grown Yusuke, you changed a lot…'

Keiko shook her head. "Yusuke, they're not Rebels, they just want away from all the killing; they just need healed and then we let them go." She told him, trying to get him to understand the urgency in her voice. "They are my friends and our allies. We help them and in return they provide us with some supplies and safety."

"I created the Rebel Angels for a reason, those children are our future. We need them to be safe, healthy and educated. If that means that the Rebel Angels lives will be taken then fine…I'm willing to die protecting those kids." Keiko looked over Yusuke's face. She knew he didn't like her talking like this. `He's so stubborn! Some things never change!' Keiko groaned to herself.

Yusuke put on his classic I'm-a-smart-ass frown and glare; letting go of Keiko's shoulders. He raked his hand through his jet-black hair, trying to think of what to do. He told her that she can't leave yet, but he could tell that Keiko had to go back there.

He glared at Keiko from the corner of his eye.

He knew she couldn't leave here for a while; she had that wound to worry about. But how could he get her to stay longer than what she had planned? He believed her when she said she couldn't be held here to long…Keiko had really surprised him, coming in here and trying to raid his supply room. Not to mention, as he had noticed, that outfit was, umm… a bit more revealing and fitting then he would have like to have her running around in.

Sighing again, he collapsed back on his bed, groaning at the thought of what a living hell she will probably cause with his men. After all, those were her only clothes, and she had made it damn clear she didn't approve of gangs.

"Oi, Keiko…what am I going to do?" he groaned.

Keiko grinned then shrugged. "I don't know Yusuke-kun, but you need to let me go soon. I don't care about what your men will do…I HAVE to get back." She told him, smiling at the fact that talking to him like this feels like old times. She sat down next to him on the bed, folding her hands in her lap.

Yusuke grinned and rolled his eyes. ` Keiko…what a pain!' he said to himself. (A.N they think alike don't they? Hehehe) Keiko raised an eyebrow at him, questioning his actions. Annoyed, Yusuke quickly sat up, glaring playfully at her.

"Keiko, you know your driving me nuts with all this `Protect and Save' shit. I'm beginning to think that you've gone completely insane!" he told her, resting his head in his hands. Keiko stuck out her tongue playfully, purposely trying to bug him.

"Smart ass!"

"Baka!"

"Hai, I know this line, `YUSUKE HENTAI NO BAKA!'"

"Glad you finally got the picture Urameshi Yusuke!" Keiko teased, eyes lowered in desperation. Yusuke made a mocking noise and Keiko smacked his arm. He winced and then shot a warning glare at her, his classic goofiness back.

Keiko started to laugh hard. "There's the Baka I know… missed you a lot!"

Yusuke smirked and stared her happily. "Thanks Keiko-chan, `almost forgot what it was like to have a close friend around."

Keiko was taken back a bit, but then she recovered smiling. "Don't forget that Yusuke, you always need to remember your friends." She sighed calmly, scooting next to him and resting her head on his shoulder. "It's nice to have you back." She said calmly and quietly, almost whispering.

"Yah, it is."

Yusuke's expression showed calmness, almost as if he was in deep thought for a second. He gazed at her features intently, looking sincere and sweet.

"Hey Keiko, what's it like, you know… with the kids?" Yusuke asked, drinking in the feeling of her closeness. Keiko giggled. She leaned off his shoulder to glance at him amused, flinching when she moved the wrong way.

"Well, for one, there is never a dull moment. There is always, `Keiko-chan, Satsuki pulled my hair!' or `Yukimura-sama, Kaogawa-chan gave me an ouchie!' They're a handful. But, you can't help but love them." Keiko told him sweetly, sighing and resting her head back on his shoulder.

"Sounds nice…"

Keiko nodded, smiling slightly. Yusuke grinned when she leaned into him slightly…nice to see his eye-candy again. He laughed to himself. Yusuke would probably never admit it, but Keiko had always been his eye-candy. He even got away with being a `Perverted baka' as Keiko had always put it. It was always fun to pull up her skirt just to see her cheeks flush and turn a slight crimson color.

Yusuke got away with a lot, when it came to Keiko at least…he could pull up her skirt, pinch her butt, grab her waist or, if her really wanted to piss her off, grab her chest. An evil smirk crossed his face at the memories. `Guess I was a Hentai, sure, I got smacked…but it was so worth it. I bet I could still make her blush,' Yusuke let a dark grin slide to his expression…oh, he could make her blush…

He smiled at her, but then frowned again.

"Keiko, your wound. I think you should change the bandages." He said quietly. Keiko frowned and nodded.

Thanks so much for the support my loyal fans! I think I might make the next chapter in this saga a lime, not a lemon just yet, but maybe a slight lime. Thank you so much for reviewing my fanfic! I guess you guys really like this ficcie, ne?

Well, thanks to my #1 fan, Keiko, I decided to write this story, she seems to like this coupling and so do I, so what the hell, I'll give it a try…I think it might just be the longest ficcie I've even written in the end.

My goal is this, to get some more damn straight fics out there! I mean, the main couple in YYH and there's barely any PG, PG 13, R or NC 17 about them, come on people! I can't write it all! Just kidding. Well, byes!

Love and peace from Mars,

Rei-chan (Kristy Rei)
