Louve and I returned from the school, having finally enrolled in all of Amanda's classes. Stupid schools, I was beginning to thing they'd never let us in. It was probably around 10:30 at night, but I wasn't sure. I kinda have a thing against clocks. I like judging by the sun and moon position. But besides all that, I was headed towards my room, lightly placing my weight on the balls of my feet to keep the floor boards from creaking. I snaked down the small hallway, and in four steps was at my room. I still wasn't used to how small the house was.
The door was barely open, but I could see the yellow beam of light that marked the abused wood floor. I opened the door, gazing at the off colored blue carpet. Blue seemed to have a hard time in this house…what with the blue couch being discolored by cat and dog hairs, and the carpet being discolored by feet. Oh well.
I eventually did look up from my carpet and deep thoughts surrounding it, though why a carpet seemed to be the object of my thoughts I'm still not sure. I wished for a split second that I hadn't looked up, because forcing back a scream is never fun. I was quickly relieved when I stopped long enough to find that the person sitting on my bed was a certain red head that we all adore.
"Kurama, what are you doing here?" I asked, my voice quiet and devoid of breath.
"Hello Mégère." He said, standing slowly. I heard the springs of my bed creak heavily as if trying to throw his weight off. I gently slid my hands around his waist. As long as he was here I might as well enjoy his company^_^
"Amanda might not like a guy randomly showing up." I commented, releasing our tight hug and leading him to my bed.
"She let me in." He answered, eyeing the empty wood dresser that sat in front of my window.
"Oh. So…did you guys talk? Did you tell her anything? How long have you been waiting? Did you get the class schedule done? Louve and I got ours today…she's not in my classes…so she must be with you or Hiei. Hiei is still doing it right? Yusuke wasn't going to end up taking over. I think I'd die if I had to spend the school day with Yusuke. I get enough of him outside of school." I threw this entire paragraph out in record time. Talking fast had always been a talent.
"Yes, we talked a little, but only about the weather. I've only been here ten minutes, and yes, I have received my schedule." He answered just as quickly, a small teasing smile on his lips.
"Don't mock me." I joked, leaning into his side. We were silent for a while, and I could feel his shoulders rising against mine. I hadn't seen him in at least a week…and I had forgotten how much I missed his presence.

Well, that day passed, and it was of course Monday. There were heavy groans filling the small house all that morning. Louve and I weren't exactly morning people, and if there was anything in this world that we hated more then anything, it was Monday mornings. Well, Amanda apparently hated mornings more then us, considering it took a shoe, a pillow, and eventually a plastic cup filled with ice (which spilled on the floor) thrown at her head to wake her up. She had incontinently fallen asleep with her head resting dangerously on the edge of her oatmeal bowl, the bowl nervously close to tipping into Amanda's lap.
It took a while, but soon we were walking to the near by high school. According to Amanda, it was a twenty minute walk. The bitter fall air cut at my bare arms, since I was stupid enough to wear a white t-shirt and no jacket.
The twenty minutes passed rather quickly, and Louve and I were faced with the daunting task of keeping with Amanda as she weaved through the crowd, stopping to talk to people every now and then. Louve obviously got bored of waiting for Amanda to stop socializing, and I almost lost her in a storm of Goths that passed. She blended in quite well with her black pants and cropped black shirt.
But all of that was petty uneventful. I found it most interesting that all of us except Amanda were in the same hallway…and that Hiei was actually carrying his Katana with him. Louve and I advised him pretty firmly to keep it hidden in his locker, which he eventually did after Louve threatened to beat his forehead in with a pen. No one seemed stirred up by it…so I assumed that toy weapons were often brought in as a way of stirring things up…which I later found out was correct when a kid threatened me with a rubber shot gun.
I was confident that Kurama would have had enough sense to team up with me, however, I was quite shocked to walk into first period Earth Science and find Hiei glaring evilly at Amanda. This was going to be a long day.
