(Kitana's P.O.V)

You believed him, but you just didn't understand why. it was something about his calm nature that made you relax and feel safe. You snorted to yourself in self disgust and brushed past him. Nina quickly followed you. You noticed that your baggage hadn't been stolen from and slowly turned back around. They didn't work for Alkashe and they hadn't stolen anything from you, maybe they were trustworthy. But first there was something you had to take care of.

(Nina's P.O.V) You held back Kurama as you watched as Kitana left the mansion, you knew that she was going to try and track down her mother and didn't want to be in the way. Kitana was a forced to be reckoned with when irritated and angered and for that you knew that she should be alone anyway. (Kurama) Where is she going. (You) To try and find an old friend. Later that night you reminisced about your old friend Brent Palashski'. He was a native of India and had gotten his rich golden eyes from his mother and his tanned skin from his Jap-French father. He was very beautiful, but like a brother to you and Kitana and a tear slipped from your eyes as you wondered what had befallen the beloved Brent. You just prayed that he was safe.

(Brent's P.O.V)

You were sitting in the damned dark murky dungeon once again. This was your second time in here and your mind replayed back two days ago, (Flashback) You could hear the sounds of nina and kitana screaming and then ran towards the nearest room and suddenly Natare grabbed you. (You) What are you doing let me go! (Natare) This is not the time! (You) Their hurting them! (Natare) I know! Bre-Brent! Hey help me,-(You) NO, Natare please let go! The guards came along and you punched through their bodies and broke away from Natare who just stared at you. (Natare) You cannot help them, you must accept this just as they have to. (Brent) Their being raped! (Natare) And there's nothing we can do about it. Brent I know you love them, and I love them too, but I don't want you to get yourself killed. (You) Natare move out of the way. You watched as Natare summoned his weapon and felt as two men held you down. Natare bashed you repeatedly and that time had put you inside the dungeon himself. He did it for your safety but you wanted to kill him. He had allowed those bastards to cause harm to them and for that you felt that you could never forgive him, but as soon as your childhood friend reached to help you, all the anger and animosity that you felt towards him was distinguished. You knew that deep down, even without the guards you couldn't get into either rooms. (you) Where is Alkashe? (Natare) He and Blada are out searching for Nina and Kitana. (You) They escaped? (Natare) Yes, and they can't find them. I'm happy for them. (You) So why are you visiting me, you know no one is allowed down here. (Natare) I've come to set you free. (You) Don't lie. (Natare) I'm not, all of the guards have been killed, compliments of me. (You) How can I thank you? (Natare) Free yourself and protect them. You then got up and quickly left following the unforgetable scent of Kitana. She was easy to track, a cat's nose could pick up year old scents and you tracked her outside of a bar. Damn, Alkashe was upstairs and she couldn't detect him, you had to go in and save her. She was going up the same stairs he was going down and you burst through the window and snagged her. She fought against you frieghtened to death as you ran undetected down 50 different allies and into another town. She had stopped fighting when she noticed that it was you and held on tight, you sat her down and the moment you did she ran alongside you outside of the town. For a few minutes you just fixed your clothing and adjusted your hood. Then she just jumped into your arms crying and kissing your cheeks. You hugged her back lovingly and she finally pulled away. (Kitana) Come on, I know a place where we'll be safe. She took your large hand and tried to pull you along but you stayed still. (Kitana) Brent... (You) I can't go with you, I will never have a true and real home. (Kitana) You can start a new life- (You) Of what running? You know as well as I do that I do not run from fights. (Kitana) Please Brent, you have to come, please. You then caved in under her and made your way to her car. You had to lay down since you were so big and tall and you sighed heavily as she made her way to a huge mansion. She led you to the doorway and she opened the door, a fox demon answered and welcomed her back. (?) Kitana, I'm so relieved that you arrived, Nina and Hiei were about to go and look for you. (Kitana) Oh its quit alright, um, Kurama? (Kurama) Yes? (Kitana) I was- I was out and I ran across a very good friend of mine and it turned out that he saved me from Alkashe, I couldn't detect him but he did and, he escaped and everyone's looking for him and he has nowhere else to go.... and I was wondering if you could allow him to stay with us. He's like a brother to me. (Kurama) Well there's another bedroom being prepared so I guess he can stay here? Kitana turned around and flashed you a evil and sly grin. Then she stepped inside and you bent low to get into the house. You noticed a crowd had assembled and watched as everyone looked from your waist to your face. A brown haired brown eyed boy looked terrified and a tall orange head guy was trying to stand erect and proud but his knees were shaking so bad you could tell that he was afraid. Kurama was holding a tray of food and looked quite content. He wasn't intimidated and took wrapped his arm around her waist. Kitana blushed, you never saw her do that and smirked knowing that she liked the him. (You) Just cute. You brushed past them all and sat down on the sofa. (Kurama) Kitana look at him, he's the size of an ogre! (Kitana) He's not that big Kurama! (Kurama) Sure he isn't. He's bigger than most ogres! (Kitana) Just because he was born tall doesn't mean that we can't accomidate someone of his size. (Hiei) Well I sure as hell wouldn't want to make him mad he's as big as a mountain. (Kurama) Yeah it looks like he could squish you between his fingers. (Kitana) He's really a nice guy, you just have to get to know him. (Kurama) Yeah, all seven feet nine inches of him. What does he wiegh? (Brent) 500. (Kurama) And you're not even fat. Kitana then placed her hand on Kurama's shoulder. (Kitana) Thats muscle ! You then laughed aloud and it startled everyone. You had a deep rich voice and it sounded satanic. As soon as you finished laughing you heard your name being screamed by a familiar and very peppy voice. (Nina) BRENT! You stood and looked around , and when you faced forward you saw as Nina jumped and straddled you. (NIna) I missed you! You almost choked when she gave you a hug and laughed along with her as you spun her around. Someone pulled Nina off of you by her shirt and you saw that it was a black haired red eyed male. He didn't look as if he approved of how you had held Nina and you bent down purposely to him. (You) What's your problem? Kitana started laughing and rolling around and you could tell she was trying to warn you but Nina was looking dense. (?) Hn. You then noticed that you two were much alike and it was wise to stay away in order to keep yourselves from biting each others heads off. (Nina) Kurama this is Brent, and Brent this is Kurama. (Kurama) Yes we've met already. (You) Hmph! (Nina) I'm sensing a bad connection here. (Kitana) No shit Sherlock! (Nina) I'm sensing a little sarcasticness there shadowcat. (Kitana) Really? You chuckled again and noticed that the fox and a short demon, who appeared to be a fire one was doing the same. (Kurama) He's welcomed as long as he likes. (Kitana) Thank you Kurama. You then sat on the couch and pulled off your cloak., Nina and Kitana sat beside you and everyone sat around having fun and freshening up for the night. After you took care of your business and rested you sat between Kitana and Nina. They were drifting off to sleep and you found yourself getting sleepy as well and let them cuddle with you. (NIna) Goodnight Kitana. (Kitana) Night Nina.... Brent. (You) Goodnight. (Kitana's P.O.V) You awoke in the arms of Brent and got up groggily. (You) Nina, wake up. Upon that command both she and Brent did so. You threw a pillow at Brent and he threw it at Nina who playfully threw it in the air and back at you. (Brent) What are we up so early for? (you) We have to train. (Brent) I see. (you) Yes, even with our combined stregnths we are still too weak for Alkashe and his brother. (Nina) I know we can combine our strength! (Brent) She just said that- (You) Just leave it alone. (Nina) Ohhhh, I know we can start training right now. (Brent) What's wong with you? (NIna) Whatever do you mean? (You) She's not a morning person, I've had to learn that the hard way. (Nina) What do you mean I'm not a morning person, atleast I'm no grouch all the time... see smiles. (^^) (Brent) O..kay, Kitana as you wer saying? (You) Kurama has agreed to train us and told me that each of us would train with him and another physic. (Brent) Hmph. (Nina) I'm physic! (You and Brent) Sure you are. (Brent) And what of this other fellow, you know the one with the black hair what's his name.... You and he both turned to Nina who was blushing. (Nina) What? Stop looking at me! (You) Hmph, his name's Hiei, (teasing) and Nina's is going to bear his children one day. *evil look* (Nina) Shut up! I am not. Just then Hiei walked downstairs. (Brent) Speak of the devil. (Hiei) What are you not going to do Nina? (Nina) Oh nothing, nothing at all, we're just talking about absolutely nothing. (Hiei) Ooookay. Okay, well Koenma wants to see you all and asked me to bring you to his office. (You) What, I'm not going! (Hiei) Yes you are. (Nina) Do we have to? (Hiei) Er.. well er, yes you have to and don't try to distract me. (You) Damn why do I have to be caught between Mr. Scrouge and Mrs. Dunce. Nina had been looking as if she were another world and picked up on it as you were leaving the door with Kurama. (NIna) Hey! That's not nice, you're so coldhearted. She ran up to Hiei and leaned on his shoulder and pretended to cry and his cheeks flamed as he hurried along with you. (Kurama) Wait up you guys, we wouldn't want anyone to get lost. (You) Oh that's cute that's real cute. (Brent) Maybe they'd like to get lost on purpose. (You) Ohhh, like you and me Kurama. (Kurama: blush) Actually it's You and I. (You) Whatever. (Brent) God please put me back in the dungeon. (Nina) Oh you don't mean that Brent. Finally you made it to Spirit World and stopped nervously in front of the door. Kurama placed his hand on your shoulder in reassurance and you stepped in. Koenma had healed nicely and you stood boldly in front of Nina. (Koenma) Ah, the Alkashe assassins have arrived. (You) We no longer belong to the Alkashe Clan so think of something else to refer to us as. The ogre behind him became highly offended and spoke harshly. (Ogre) You will respect Prince Koenma! (You) We, (referring to you, Nina and Brent) Respect no one but ourselves, and you hearken unto our likings. (Koenma) Still Feisty aren't we? (You) Damn right. (Nina) You don't remember me? (Koenma) How could I, you were the one that started the assault on me by asking me if I would like a kiss; and what is it that you did next, yes you sent a fork through my abdomen. (Brent) Don't patronize them! (Koenma) And if it isn't the legendary jaguar of Alkashe's tamed! (Brent) Damn you, you arrogant palace pampered brat, if you have a problem with them saving your life then take it up with me, I'll finish the job that they didn't have heart enough to finish themselves! (You) That's quite enough Brent. Now if the "mighty" Koenma has a come back he's surely the strongest being here. (Brent) Humph. I'll show you tamed. He walked over to Koenma and Hiei stood in front of him. (Hiei) Get back. (Brent) Is that an order or a threat? (Hiei) A threat. (Brent) We'll just have to see about that then, won't we? Just in time three people walked into the room. One was a guy with black hair slicked back with brown eyes. Another is a guy with orange hair fix in an Elvis do with brown eyes. And the last one was a girl with light blue hair and pink eyes. (Koenma) "X" Assassins I would like you to meet the last people that complete the Yu Yu gang. The one that seemed to be the leader then spoke. (?) Better known as Team Urameshi. (?) Oh Yuske get over yourself. (Yuske) Shut up Botan! (Botan) Oh hello, my name as you may have heard is Botan and I'll introduce these bashful young men to you all. (Botan) The tall guy with the whacked up do is Kuwabara, and the other is the leader of our team Yuske Urameshi. (Yuske) The one and only. (Botan) He's full of himself right now. (You) We see. (Nina) Um excuse me. (You) Oh, this is Nina Okimara and Brent, and I'm Kitana. (Kuwabara) Well hellooo. He approached you ladies and Brent stepped in front of him with the most intimidating look on his face. (Kuwabara) Okay then. (Brent) get back to the other side of the room. He did and you and Nina smiled inwardly at each other. (Nina) Don't be intimidated by Brent he's a really nice guy inside. (Kuwabara) Well he doesn't look that way now. Hiei sat beside Brent and they turned from each other. (Brent) Please Nina don't take this offensively but I'd like to speak for myself. (Yuske) He talks just like Kurama- (Botan) And acts like Hiei. (Kuwabara) Venomous. (You) He's not that bad, as an alley of course. (Koenma) Alright everyone gather round, gather round. As you all know there will be another dark tournament held here and there seems to be a problem with our funds.
