(Kitana) They'll find us soon, we have to leave. Brent can stay but we'll put everyone else in danger. (You) We just can't keep running. We'll run out of money, and then what? (Kitana) So you'll risk putting everyone we love and care about in danger? (You) You are a coward Kitana.

(Kitana) I'd rather be a coward than a damned fool! Have you taken a look at Hiei lately? Ukena could only heal the wounds he came across by stopping the bleeding and closing them 5 centimeters. That means it didn't work past hell and that the only thing keeping him alive is sheer will power. (You: crying) I care about him Kitana; I can't leave him now when he needs me the most. He's the one that helped me save Toki. He guarded her body as well as mine with his own. No ones ever done that for me so quickly besides you.

I am not leaving him!... Kitana sank to her bed and you noticed she was weeping. (Kitana) Kurama and I have a little secret of our own. She giggled trying to regain her composure. (Kitana) every since the day I got drunk and told him how I really felt, I came to find that he felt the same way. Today was such a wonderful day for me, I didn't feel cornered and he was so patient with me. I thought life was nothing besides survival of the fittest but he showed me things I never knew existed.

(You) I know what you mean. Today I kept thinking that them helping us was fate, and maybe we won't have to ever be afraid of Alkashe and Blada anymore. (Kitana) Lets not talk about them, their names don't belong in this house. She drifted off to sleep and you helped Toki bathe. There was a smaller bed set up in a spare bedroom for her down the hall from Hiei's and you let her sleep there for the night.

She was strong, you asked if she wanted you to sleep with her tonight but she said no, she was with and she knew if you were in the same house as her that she had no reason to fear anymore. With that said and done you went back to Hiei's room and knocked lightly. He answered weakly and you entered quietly. He was truly in a lot of pain but his wounds were healing steadily thanks to his demon blood and you watched as he healed fully. His sweating stopped and his eyes grew calmer and more at ease.

(You) How are you feeling? (Hiei) I'd feel much better if you spent the night with me. You stood shocked and he reached for you. (Hiei) I'll remain a gentleman... for about three minutes. You smiled and sat next to him. He had showered and his scent filled your nostrils. He smelled so good. You wanted to shower and therefore left only for a few minutes to get underwear and a camisole. You came back and used his shower and came back to him. He pulled you closer to him and tucked you in.

You drifted off into slumber, feeling safe for the very first time in your life. (Kitana's POV) You awoke in the middle of the night feeling cold and noticed your window was open. You closed it and turned you air unit down. You then walked to the bathroom and took a bath, letting the hot water melt your worries away. You thought of your day with Kurama and smiled faintly.

He took you to his old home in Spirit World and there you had dinner, learned about each other, talked about just about everything that crossed your mind, and he let you splurge in one of the most expensive shops in Human World. You bought clothes for both you and Nina, and he bought you a very short camisole with the matching lingerie. You smiled it off but deep down knew that you'd jump into that for him. Alkashe's face showed up in your head and you sank below the water.

You held your breath and came back up. Kurama said you were his and his only now and that whatever person had you in mind in the past could step aside. You then finished bathing and wrapped a towel around yourself. After cleaning up behind you, you left the bathroom
