~One Month Later/Nina's POV~ You was starting to worry about Kitana lately she's been getting sick in the morning time. You ask Kitana many times to let you take her to the doctor but she always says no. After asking and asking time and time again she finally said yes. You were driving her to the doctor's office in human world and Kitana look to be still sick from throwing up this morning. (You) Kitana do you want me to pull over? (Kitana) No. (You) you don't have to be so mean about it. I'm the one who's taking you to the doctor in the first place. (Kitana) More like forcing me. (You) well you're in here now so you might as well shut up. When you got to the doctor's office you were there just in time for him to receive you. When Kitana was leaving you asked (you) do you want me to go with you? (Kitana) would you please? When you entered the room the doctor had Kitana lay back on the bed. (Doctor) From the symptoms that I've read I would just like to give her a pregnancy test. Kitana looked over at you with a shocked expression on her face. You immediately took her hand and assured her that wasn't the problem. After a series of probing and taking blood samples you two were free to go. (Doctor) You'll have the test results in the next two days. Until then congratulations. (Kitana) you don't know that yet! (Doctor) It's pretty obvious. ~Two days later~ Kitana was high strung all day long sitting by the telephone and not allowing anyone else to answer it but herself. Everyone knew that that kind of behavior was strange coming from her because she could care less about talking on the phone herself. Kurama was starting to sense that something was definately wrong but didn't say anything because he didn't want anyone in their business. When the phone finally rang for the 15th time, she answered it quickly and began to talk with Doctor Onowaga. Then Kurama came up and took the phone away from her. (Doc Onowaga's POV) Hello...? Hello, is anyone there? (Male voice) Yes, hello this is Suigi Kurama speaking. (You) Yes, is there a Kitana Lae'Mora available at this time? (Kurama)No sir, but I will be able to take the message for her. (You: happily) Alright Mr. Kurama, Ms. Lae' Mora is one month pregnant and she'll be due for her first check-up in the upcoming week, I just need a schedule that is fitting for her, and father if he can come... if its not a problem, I'm suspecting that she is with the father. There was silence on the other end of the phone line and you had to wait for Kurama to sink in the news. (You) Did I call at the wrong time? (Kurama: shocked) N- No. Um, you can fit her in on the eleventh of this month, I'll be finished looking up on a job offer and I'll be able to make it with her. (You) Oh, so you're the father. (Kurama) Yes sir I suppose I am, there's n doubt about it. (You) well congratualtions. (Kurama) Thank you sir. (You) So what time will you want to come in? (Kurama) Let me check my daily planner.... You hung up the phone and began to call another patient's family. (Kurama's POV) You looked down at Kitana and she stood and began to walk away but you grabbed her wrist and pulled her to you. By this time everyone had entered the room when they found out that Kitana's doctor was on the other line to give both you and her their support about whatever the news was. (You: slightly angry, but whispering) When were you going to tell me? (Kitana: looking to the floor and lying) When I got the phone call. You lifted her chin with your fingers, not roughly but not gently either. (You) Don't lie to me... You know I know when you're lying. I wouldn't have been upset. I'm giving you my full support. (Kitana) Kurama can we please talk about this later. She started to pull away but you pulled her to you and her body slammed roughly against your chest. Everyone started to tense up; never being able to be comfortable around you when angry. (You: clenching your teeth) No this cannot wait, and niether will I- (Kitana: yelling back) I don't want to talk about it not in front of everyone! (You: arguing) Who are you kidding Kitana everyone's going to know in a few months! The least you could do is stop being- (Kitana) Being what?! (You: trying to calm down) The least you could do is let me take care of you, let me do something to set this evenly you shouldn't be under this kind of stress its unheathly. (Kitana) You've done enough! (You) You are just as much in fault as I am, this is even, and that's the way we're going to take care of this. (Kitana) I don't want to take care of it. (You: moving in on her while Yuske holds you back telling you to calm down) Say what. (Kitana: lying and scared) I don't want it. You broke away from Yuske and picked her up half dragging her up the stairs, once inside the room you pushed her on the bed. She sat up quickly and you pushed her back down. (You: loud enough so everyone could hear you) You listen to me goddammit you're not getting rid of my child do you understand that?! She turned away from you and you grabbed her shoulders shaking her. (You) or I swear to God...! She broke away from you and slapped you. (Kitana) Don't you ever threaten me! (You: trying to cool down) I'm leaving and when I get back you be ready to go to Dr. Onawaga's office first thing in the morning. First thing. She knew from the expression on your face that you weren't kidding and stood and walked over to you. (Kitana) You took what I said wrong, I didn't mean it that way. I just wish it wasn't so soon. (You) I just want you to be happy you know that don't you. (Kitana) Yes... (You) I'm supporting you and I will do right by you and our child. We're a family now. We always were. You left the room and brushed off the curious expressions on everyones faces and stopped in front of Nina. (You) Go check on her please, I know she must need you now. She nodded in understanding and you watched as she left for Kitana's room. Hiei startled you when he ran up behind you. (You) What? (Hiei) What was that about? He heard the distress in you voice and watched in shockened silence and you drove away. You went back into the mansion and found that Yuske and Kuwabara were eavsdropping on Kurama and yourself and you braced yourself for the upcoming onslaught of questions that were to come. (Yuske) Did he say what I think he said? (Kuwabara) And here I was believing my teachers when they told me I would be the first in my generation to have a baby out of wedlock.
