Yoko Kurama had brought Nari into the hideout later on so he could ponder about the current situation with his pet. Nari remained close to the fireplace with Okuro in her arms as the fox demon sat there resting his cheek on the back of his right hand as the other nested on the top of her tangled mess that would be considered hair. Keeping her son quiet for her master, Nari looked up at him tempted to ask what was going on. However, since Kuronue informed her that what was happening wasn't good news, she held her tongue not wishing to remind him of what was occurring.
Okuro looked about the quiet room starting to squirm a bit in his mother's embrace. He was getting antsy and wanted to roam about the room. When the grip around her son tightened to prevent him from doing so, Okuro announced his disapproval in loud sharp wails. Hearing him do that made Nari's heart stop suddenly knowing her master wouldn't enjoy this sound. Looking up at the fox demon she saw he was flinching momentarily at the horrible noise entering his sensitive demonic ears. “Shhh!” Nari panicked quietly trying to calm her son, “It'll be okay, Okuro…”
“Will you shut that damn brat up?” Yoko Kurama demanded to know as he snapped angrily at her. He had heard enough from the crying child and wanted his peace and quiet to think.
Hearing the horrible rise in his biological father's voice made the mix breed cry even louder. The yank on her chain caused Nari to start coughing from surprise. “I'm—I'm trying, my master!” She panicked looking back at her son trying to soothe him gently.
When she continued to fail, Yoko Kurama got to his feet and pulled on the chain harshly again trying to beckon her towards him. “Put the brat down on the floor, now!”
The teen bit her lower lip as she did as he asked of her timidly. Okuro was a bit pleased with this but he was still sniffling up at mom and `dad'. The whole reason he wanted to be released was so he could wonder around but the tension in the room was there and he could sense something was the matter. Not only that but his halved demonic senses were picking up the fear pheromones that his mother was releasing and he wondered what was bothering her.
“Come on-.” Yoko Kurama demanded, grabbing onto her wrist and pulling her over to the bed.
Nari hurried over to the bedside where he wanted her to be wondering what she did that was so wrong. She knew she had done something wrong for he always haled her over to the bedside to either whip her or rape her. Was it all because of her baby crying? No matter how many ways she looked at it, she couldn't figure out why it was her fault. Hands meeting with the covers of his bed she looked over her shoulder at her fox master feeling her body tremble as she fought the want to pass out from fear or to try and run.
“I am not in the best of moods,” He warned through his teeth as he worked on getting his attire off with her back turned to him, “You better not try anything cute or this day will be your last…”
Nari said and did nothing but suck on her lower lip once she heard his attire fall to the floor. His cold, rough hands gripping onto her sides, he managed to pull her backward so that her back would touch his front. Keeping her body slightly outstretched with her hands still on the covers and her backside against his now hanging member, Nari lowered her head between her parallel arms waiting on what he wanted her to do first. Looking back over towards the fireplace she sighed heavily seeing that her son was watching the two with interest. Shaking her head from side to side, Nari mouthed `no' over and over again trying to get Okuro to look the other way the best she could.
Seeing what she was doing prompted the fox demon to slap her harshly on the left side; nails digging into her skin before pulling back with blood on the tips. Throwing her uneven dusty blond hair back, Nari released a strangled cry of displeasure. “Keep still!” He grumbled, pushing her body forward this time making it land upon the soft bedcovers. Trying to pick herself up, Yoko Kurama's hand came back down on the back of her head forcing her to land face first in the bedcovers yet again. “Stay there unless you want your body to bleed even more!”
Every muscle in Nari's body contracted from his choice of words as a few crystal tears rolled down her cheeks. The hand that was left on her side started to trail down to her slightly parted legs taking one finger to dip into her folds. Feeling him do such a thing forced her hands to grip onto the covers tightly, biting her lower lip this turn not wishing to give him the satisfaction of a moan.
Sensing her persistence to displease him, Yoko Kurama took back just the one index finger that was probing her entrance. “Want to be stubborn?” He asked in a teasing manner. Taking three of his fingers, he pushed them as far into her folds as he was able, making her body secrete the strong sexual smell he was waiting for.
Needless to say it prompted the beaten teen to stop fighting as she released a strong cry of pleasure. Every time she felt she would be able to stand up to her masters, her body always betrayed her. Feeling her release dripping down her inner thighs while coating his fingers, Nari moaned miserably as she laid there on the bed with just her upper body feeling so embarrassed that her son had to sit there and watch this happen.
She found herself in a fetal position on the bedcovers after Yoko Kurama was through with getting his sexual frustration out on her. Heart beating rapidly from the sexual pain he gave her with that abnormal size of his entering inside of her yet again. When she had assumed that the pain was over, her master grabbed onto her dusty blond hair pulling her backward as he snarled at her, “Next time learn to control your brat for a son!”
Nari opened and closed her mouth several times—as if she was starting to say something but stopped to reword what she had in mind, “I—I'm sorry, my Master…” She managed to get out as her eyes closed in exhaustion, “I know that you are angered…and I am sorry…”
Yoko Kurama's ears shifted slightly-one staying straight forward as the other went off to the side. “I see Kuronue told you,” He assumed since the two appeared to be so close. “Don't get your hopes up, runt. Just because that Spirit Detective is coming here as Koenma's lapdog doesn't mean you will be saved.”
Nari opened her eyes momentarily to watch as her master bent down to pick his attire up off of the floor. “S-Spirit Detective…my-my Master…?” She questioned.
Getting back on his clothing, he looked over at his weary slave before heading over to the chair that was near the fireplace. “A human on earth that has discovered his or her spirit energy to defend the human race. Obviously for there being a few disappearances of the female gender disappearing all over the world, Koenma has sent out his best…we'll end it if he tries to destroy what we have going on here.”
Lying her head back down on the bedcovers she thought to herself trying to keep that hopeful spark alive regardless of what Yoko Kurama had to say to her. Please, Nari begged in her mind, let someone come and save us…
---------------------------------------
Kuronue returned to the hideout to find that Nari had been locked in Yoko Kurama's bedroom all day long making him wonder if she had opened that big mouth of hers and got herself into trouble. Heading towards his best friend's door, he knocked on it with the back of his hand calling to the thief leader, “Yoko Kurama?”
There were a few moments of silence until finally his friend replied, “What is it?”
“It is I—Kuronue,” The bat demon said hoping that would let him inside if he wasn't busy with anything. “I'm here to talk to you about the Spirit Detective…”
“Come in.”
Kuronue opened the door to his friend's bedroom to find him there on his bed with Nari lying on his chest with her arm across his abdomen. Though it was faint, the bat demon's sharp senses picked up the sexual smell that had been spread throughout the room. He could tell that they were relaxing after another round with one another. Not seeing his `son' anywhere close by, Kuronue's wings tenses up a bit with worry as he looked to his leader and closes comrade.
Before he could ask him where Okuro was, the small little half breed got to his feet from where he was sitting on the other side of the bed and ran towards the familiar scent his developing demon senses caught. Hurrying over to his father, Okuro opened his arms to him wanting to be held. Wondering if that would be okay with Yoko Kurama, the two began exchanging glances. Yoko Kurama watched Kuronue in stern silence as his fox tail thumped against the mattress of his bed.
Eventually Yoko Kurama showed he could really care less by looking at the fireplace that was located a little ways away from the foot of his bed. Bending down, Kuronue picked up his son and rocked him in his arms. Feeling unable to watch his friend as he tended the abomination, Yoko Kurama continued to stare at the fire that continued to crackle and dance. “So—what news do you bring to me?”
“We're in luck,” Kuronue answered staying where he was at Yoko Kurama's door. “The Spirit Detective was just a renegade. He has no intention of reporting us to Koenma. As a matter of fact, he is glad of what we are doing and wishes to see what we is going on down here with the people we have stashed away.”
Yoko Kurama remained quiet till he heard those sentences grace his ears. “Hmmm, is that so?”
Nari didn't act as disappointed as one would think. She knew her luck was bad ever since she got dragged into Makai so there was no point in even being dissatisfied when she knew her chances of rescue were slimming down these days.
“So where is the Spirit Detective now?” Yoko Kurama asked petting Nari's damaged back, running his index finger down her spine.
“He's waiting outside in the forest,” Kuronue answered, “I didn't want to lead him here because I am still unsure about this detective.”
Yoko Kurama nodded agreeing with that as he looked down at Nari who had her eyes locked on her son and her Master Kuronue.
The demon followed his gaze for a moment before adding, “He wants to see the stable…do you think I should show it to him?”
The fox demon was silent yet again as his tail thumped under the covers to think on that. I mean, they were risking a lot on what one Spirit Detective that was claiming he was denouncing working for Spirit World. “Let me meet with him first…I will be able to tell if he's lying.” Removing the covers from his bear body Yoko Kurama moved away from Nari getting to his feet to stand before Kuronue without his clothing. It didn't bother Kuronue one bit as he kept a hold of his grabby son still heading over to the now neglected Nari. “Will you do me a favor and put the bitch back in her stall? And what's the name of this Spirit Detective?”
“He calls himself Sensui,” Kuronue answered, taking Nari's chain that was draping over the side of the bed. Giving it a pull or two got the weary teen to her feet. Heading back towards Yoko Kurama's door, he placed his hand on the doorknob before nodding at his friend, “I will return shortly to guide you to him.”
“Not necessary,” The S class demon admitted as he fixed up his pure white attire, “I can handle him all on my own.”
“Be cautious please, Yoko Kurama,” Kuronue remarked opening the door, stepping into the doorway, “There was something about that man that really set me on alert. It could have been his amazing Spirit Energy.”
“Don't be ridiculous!” He barked a bit not willing to accept that someone was stronger than he—least of all a human. “If he pulls anything, he'll be dead before his attack is finished.”
Nari watched with Kuronue as the fox demon left his room before they had the chance to. Looking up at him, Kuronue handed Okuro over to his mother again. “There you go.” Okuro latched onto his mom's neck, laying his head down on her right shoulder as his eyelids began to drop just a bit. “My,” Kuronue began as he led her out of Yoko Kurama's bedroom. “He's awful tired.”
“Well, he wore himself out trying to get on the bed Master Yoko Kurama put me on,” Nari answered once they ventured past the horrible stares they were both given from the demons and slaves alike. “Being that bed was so high, he kept trying to pull himself up by the covers but was unable several times…guess he got tired from trying after a time.”
Kuronue got Nari back to her stall but stopped for a moment just outside of it. Taking her chain, he roped it around the iron bars of her door making her stand outside out of his way. “I have to clean this up for you,” He said lowly referring to her stall. It was something that the masters could decide on whether or not to do since it was their slave and having a human slave was like a human having a pet. You choose whether or not you want to take good care of it. Kuronue had made it a habit to clean her stall out at least every week or so now. With her new infant that was slowly growing, the stall appeared to get a lot dirtier thanks to two people sharing one stall.
Nari stayed on the side as she watched him start removing the hay from the stall and relocate it to the outside area of the barn. It was a disgusting job since they didn't exactly have shovels or wheelbarrows like the stables on the human world but Kuronue, for some reason didn't mind doing it.
Once the tainted hay was moved, he started moving more into the stall for her and her son's bedding. The bedding back in place, and spread about the area, Kuronue grabbed onto the chain and untied it from the bars so he could unhook her iron leash from her neck shackle. “Get in,” He ordered, stepping aside for her to enter.
Running the palm of her hand up and down her son's back, she stepped into the stall as he asked, sitting down right under her barred window. “Master Kuronue?” Hearing his name stopped the demon from leaving right away. Staying in the stall's doorway, he let his indigo eyes lay upon her ivy green. “Who is—this Sensui…?”
“He's a Spirit Detective from Spirit World. He said that he is no longer working for Lord Koenma but I doubt that is truthful,” Kuronue admitted.
“So…what would happen if he were to come here? Why is Master Yoko Kurama so jumpy about that?” She pried rocking her now softly snoring son.
“Spirit Detectives protect mankind,” Kuronue pretty much said reminding her of what the fox demon said earlier. “If Sensui was still or if he is still working for Koenma, he will have this whole operation shut down and us destroyed and or punished.”
“Punished…?”
“Koenma would possibly sentence us to a thousand years of torment for this,” Kuronue remarked with a heavy sigh and slight shrug. “Girls disappearing all over the world is hard not to notice—especially with our numbers steadily increasing when it comes to our little thievery club.”
Looking down at her knees that were brought close to her son's body, she shook her head unable to picture Kuronue being punished for this. “I don't want you to suffer for this…”
Kuronue's eyes widen in shock at that believing she met everyone in general, “Why? We have done nothing but ridicule you and make you feel lower than garbage.”
“I don't mean everyone else,” Nari admitted embarrassedly yet again as her eyes looked off to the side, “I just don't want you to suffer…you don't deserve it…”
Kuronue sighed heavily for the first time in forever it seemed, “Kiddo,” He began as he knelt before her, “Don't concern yourself with me. If I must suffer from what I have done, then I will try to fight for the right to live till the very end. Besides, I am strong enough to take down any who try.”
Obviously he was being a proud peacock when it came to his ability to fight but it was just to ease the troubled mind of Nari. “If this whole thing crumbles, Kuronue…what will that mean for me? Will I get to go home?”
“Yes,” He answered, “You would quite possibly go home but…” He stopped for a moment to look at Okuro who was sleeping. “He—wouldn't be able to, kiddo…”
“Wh-What…?” Nari stuttered looking to her son.
“Okuro is a mix breed and he is not allowed in the human world. He would have to remain here,” Kuronue clarified.
“But—I—no!” Nari begged looking at the bat demon, orbs of ivy sparkling with tears that threatened to come. “I want to keep my son till the day I die!” Hearing her choice of words prompted Kuronue to lock himself into deep thought. Seeing his sudden serious expression forced Nari to question him, “Kuronue?”
“Hmmm?” He hummed looking to her with his brows slightly raised, “Don't worry about me.” Kuronue begged softly once again as he stood to his feet. “I promise I can protect myself.”
“But….Master Kuronue—?” Nari started to say, feeling her stomach knot up from what she was about to let herself announce again. Kuronue noted her nervousness and wondered what was wrong, stopping himself yet again from leaving at the moment. “Whatever happens…I will still care for you…a lot…” Nari waited after a few moments of awkward silence for Kuronue to beat down her words again. No matter how many times he threw her crystal clear `I love you' sentences, at her face, she continued to do it wanting to hear him say something she wanted in return.
Kuronue's bat wings expanded slightly, tensing up before he finally said something differently to her choice of words, “Kiddo…I really care about you as well…sorry I don't show it enough.” Finally having the guts to say that, he walked out of her stall and locked the door behind him so he could put her chain up and then head back to the hideout; leaving Nari behind to remain in shock at what the demon she loved just said to her.
