Kurama sighed as he walked down the sreet, following maria's youki. He had heard the conversation between the others, and now his conscious was nagging at him to go apologize. And Yoko was too. Finally, he reached a large house and guessed it was her's, seeing as how her scent and ki was strongest here. He

walked up to the door and knocked. The door opened, and a woman stood in front of him. She looked to be in het ealier 30's or late 20s and had shoulder length straight black hair and brown eyes and wore a long trench coat over a red turtleneck and black pants.

"Yes?" she said with a heavy accent. Kurama bowed politely.

"Is Maria here? I came to talk to her." The woman smiled.

"She's out back. Come in and I'll go get her." the woman said. Kurama followed her inside, and stopped as she went straight to a sliding glass door that looked like it went to the back yard.

"Maria, there's someone here to see you!" she shouted as she stuck her head out.

"It's not the cops is it?" He heard Maria shout back.

"No it isn't. Now stop trying to pound Seirjiro's head through the fence and come in!" Kurama sweatdropped as the woman came back and smiled at him before disappearing into another room. Maria came back in and saw him. Kurama heard a slight growl come from her.

"Maria, I came to apologize. I realize that I shouldn't have been so rude to you and should have been more considerate about your feelings." Maria, smiled slightly and headed towards the stairs.

"Come on up to my room, we can finish this conversation there, where no one can eavesdrop." she said the last part louder, while looking behind her at the man who was walking in. The man looked to be in his 30s and had short messy silver hair and golden amber eyes. He was wearing a red tunic over black pants and a white shirt. The expression

on his face was of hurt.

"Why Maria-chan, I would never do such a thing!" he said, his eyes filling with fake tears. The woman from earlier came in and grabbed the man by one of his poointed ears.

"Come on you stupid dog." she said, dragging the whimpering man away. The two sweatdropped. Maria cleared her throat.

"Anyway, like I was saying, let's continue this upstairs." she muttered. The two walked upstairs and entered a room. Kurama looked around the room. The walls were painted black and red, and there was lots of shelves on the walls that held trophies from soccer tournaments. There was a plaque on the wall the had a picture on it of a soccer team.

All the players wore white jerseys with black stripes on the sleeves and black shorts. One of the girls was Maria, but with short hair. Under the picture it said, White Tigers 1st place U-16 L.H.Y.S.A . He turned back to Maria when a black pillow came in contact with the side of his head. Maria was sitting on the bed the red comforter wrapped around her legs.

"That was the from the third year I played soccer on an actual team. We won both of the tournaments we competed in and we all enjoyed playing." she sighed.

"Now, I think there was more to that apology." she grinned at him. Kurama sighed.

"I'm sorry I was such an ass. If I had known, I wouldn't have said that to you." He walked over to Maria and pulled her to him, huggin her. Maria's eyes went wide, but then they closed as tears began to slide down her cheeks.

"Well, if I had known you would react that way, I wouldn't have said anything. I shouldn't have expected you to return my feelings." she said softly. Before she could try to pull away, Kurama's grip tightened.

"Saku-chan, I didn't mean it. I shouldn't have said that to you. I actually care about you alot. I was just to embarresed to admit to even myself." he whispered, wiping away her tears.

"Are you telling the truth?" she asked as she looked up at him. Kurama nodded. She kissed him, making Kurama's eyes go wide. She pulled back, grinning, the only sign that she had been crying were the trails of moisture her tears left on her face.

"I guess we have some catching up to do." she said. Kurama sighed and sat down next to her.

"I guess. You don't still talk as much as you used to, do you?" he asked nervously. She smiled.

"Don't worry. I can actually go an entire day without talking, unlike before when I couldn't even go an hour." Kurama sighed in relief.

"Good."

"So, how has life as a human been so far?" she asked him.

"Okay I guess. Maria, cna you still do all your illusions?"

"Yep, I can still shape shift and control plants too." she grinne dat his surprised look.

"Since when could you control plants?"

"Since I was 20. And unlike you I'm sure, I can still train too. Seirjiro knows I'm a demon, so I don't have to hide it as long as my mother isn't around."

"Your mother doesn't know?"

"Does yours?"

"No."

"And why not?"

"Because I'm afriad she'd be angry if she knew I took over the body of her unborn child."

"Same here. I made Seirjiro promise not to tell her. He only found out 'cause he can smell it." She sighed. Kurama looked up at the clock.

"I should go. My mother is probably wondering where I am." he said, standing.

"See ya."
