Kurama sighed as he hefted the heavy paper sack into the car. He'd taken a little while getting the beer for 'Hiei' and his friends. He slouched behind the wheel.

"I hope he won't be mad at me..." He stated, staring into nothing. Hiei sighed and stared out the window. The only good part about this trip was he ran into that old ghost again.

~*Flashback*~

Hiei watched Kurama in the shop's window, picking out beer. Feeling a tap on his shoulder, he whirled around. There stood the old man from the other night.

"You want to communicate with this person, do you not?" He asked as more of a statement than a question. Hiei blinked, but nodded vigorously. The old man laughed.

"No need to rattle your brain little one. As a spirit, you can enter the dreams of a slumbering person." He paused, waiting for Hiei to digest this information. Hiei pondered, then spoke.

""Yeah, so I can get into his dreams while he sleeps?"" He asked, already knowing the answer. The old man scratched his chin.

"Yes, and that imposing spirit seems to be causing lots of problems...." He trailed off. Hiei growled at the mention of that monster.

""How can I get rid of him?"" He asked, loathing in his voice. The old man reached into his pocket. He handed a strange object to Hiei. The koorime stared at it. It looked like a star, it was light blue in color. He looked back to the old man.

""Who are you? And what does this do?"" He asked, suspicious as to why he would be helping him. The old ghost smiled.

"Let's just say I'm doing two favors to Koenma." He chuckled at Hiei's surprised look.

"About the object. It's called a "Spirit Compressor," You need to visit Kurama in the land of dreams, and give him that item. You must convince Kurama to put the object on your body, thus, driving the spirit out. But, Kurama must be having a dream about you to be able to enter it. So just hope that you're on his mind once he drifts to sleep. You can only enter the land of the dreams once a lunar cycle, so be absolutely certain you're in the dream." With that, the old ghost disappeared from sight. Hiei blinked, then looked back down at the object in his hands.

""Let's just hope I can do this soon...""

~*End Flashback*~

Hiei came out of his thoughts when the car started. He watched Kurama put the car in gear and drive away toward home. He settled back in the seat, he still couldn't get used to being ignored, especially by his fox. The fox in question was rather solemn, whether he was sad or was just always like this when by himself, Hiei didn't know. But he had a sinking feeling that it was sadness. Sighing, he closed his eyes, remembering all the good memories of him and Kurama together.

Kurama couldn't think straight, he just couldn't comprehind what was going on in that fire demon's head. Why was he so mean? And who were those people he invited over? And since when did Hiei drink BEER? He sighed.

"Why's he so mean to me all of a sudden?" It was so soft, Hiei barely heard it. But it made his chest ache even more. Reaching out a hand, he tried to touch the fox's shoulder, he was surprised when he felt the material of Kurama's shirt. Startled, Kurama gasped and lost control of the car, almost running it into a ditch. Cruising now, he slowed the car to a stop, holding a hand to his chest. Breathing hard, Kurama looked around with wide eyes. Hiei sat in his seat, glad he got to touch him, but ashamed that he almost got him killed.

Finding nothing, Kurama eased the car back onto the road, heart still hammering in his chest. He would dart his eyes around every so often.

"I know something touched me...." He muttered to himself. Hiei smiled at his antics.

It wasn't long before they reached the house. Walking in the door, Kurama seen an angry looking fire demon standing in the kitchen doorway. His friends were turned around in their chairs, leering. 'Hiei' marched up to Kurama and grabbed his collar.

"Where were you? It shouldn't take that long to go uptown and get some beer. Now where were you?! Answer me!" He backhanded the fox and threw him to the ground. Kurama looked up at 'Hiei,' a hand covering his cheek.

"I'm so sorry Hiei, there was a traffic jam and there were lots of-" He got cut off by another blow to the face. 'Hiei' straddled his hips and forced the fox to look at him.

"Don't give me those excuses. Did you find another lover while I was gone? Is that it?" He mocked, slapping Kurama in the face. The fox felt like his face would explode.

"No! Never anyone else Hiei!" The imposter sneered.

"Good, now get your fatass upstairs and wait in bed for me." He stood, dragging Kurama with him. He turned the fox and shoved him toward the stairs, causing him to stumble. The other three laughed at the fox. The imposter smirked.

"I don't know how you can show your face, what with those wrinkles and bloches. I don't even know why I put up with you. Oh wait, I know why, because no one else will!" He and the others started laughing more at the humiliated fox. Kurama sniffed and went upstairs, determined not to cry in front of everyone. Hiei followed him up, rage building within his soul. He floated next to the bed as Kurama undressed, readying for bed.

""Don't take that shit from him Kurama, you're beautiful and you know it. And hit him back next time!"" He seethed, watching Kurama go through this was one thing, but seeing Kurama not fight back was entirely different. Pissed, he perched himself on the window sill, watching the kitsune get in bed.

Kurama settled himself between the blankets, finally letting the tears flow. He brought a hand up and gently touched the swollen places on his cheeks. He could still feel the ache in his shoulder from being rough housed. Why was Hiei doing this? Why's he so violent and cruel? He snuggled in the sheets.

"He promised he'd never hurt me...." He trailed off, burrowing in the bed. Hiei felt his eyes stinging. He'd swore to never lay a harsh hand on his fox, and he never had, until that imposter showed up. He just had to wait and see if Kurama dreamt about him. If he was wrong, he'd have to wait a whole month before attempting it again. He continued to watch, waiting for Kurama to fall asleep. But it seemed Kurama wasn't in a sleeping mood.

Kurama rolled around in the bed, listening to the conversations downstairs. He flinched when he heard a bottle break, then loud laughter. He could imagine he'd have a mess to clean up in the kitchen tomorrow. With this thought, Kurama finally drifted into a restless slumber.

The fox woke up to the front door slamming. It seemed 'Hiei's friends went home. He started shaking when he heard heavy footsteps on the stairs. Facing away from the door, Kurama stared at the window where Hiei was perched. Kurama jumped when he heard the bedroom door fling open. He heard hastey steps before a weight settled on the other side of the bed. He was about to sigh in relief when a hand roughly grabbed his shoulder and jerked him around. His gaze met an intense ruby stare, the red eyes seemed pissed off. 'Hiei' pinned both Kurama's hands over his head. He leaned down in the kitsune's face. Kurama could smell the heavy scent of liquer on his breath.

"Stupid fox! How could you embarass me in front of my friends?! I was nice enough to let you meet them, and then I ask you to do one simple thing, and you can't even do that right!" He backhanded the fox across the already swollen cheek. Kurama cried out, feeling his cheek burn with pain. The imposter started sloppily kissing Kurama's face and neck, roughly pinning his hands to the mattress. Hiei about blew up in his anger. His face was turning red. The imposter harshly ripped Kurama's pajamas down the middle, exposing his pale chest to the moonlight. 'Hiei' kissed Kurama's chest, pinching a nipple harshly. Kurama hissed and flinched away. The imposter punched Kurama in the face, blackening his beautiful green eye. Hiei cried out in agony. How could this thing do this to his sweet fox? The imposter bit down on a nipple, hard. This caused Kurama to scream in pain. Not wanting to hear his cries anymore, the imposter stuffed a piece of his ripped pajamas in his mouth, muffling his screams as the imposter took him roughly. He didn't prepare him, just ramming his way in, forcing his dick in and out, much to Kurama's agony. Tears streamed down the fox's face, he closed his eyes tight, trying to block the pain. It felt like something was ramming his spine. He writhed under 'Hiei's menstrations, trying to find some way to block the pain. 'Hiei' grabbed Kurama's inevitable erection and pulled on it hard. Kurama arched his back, yelling in pain. The imposter let go of Kurama's hands, gripping his waist tightly, leaving bruises, he thrust in and out without remorse or kindness. Hiei banged his head on the window, praying to any gods who were out there that he would be done soon.

Kurama felt violated, but if it was Hiei, then it was fine, right? He kept telling himself that as his lover smacked him in the face. He knew his face was probably bruised and everything else. He could feel blood trickling down his legs, staining the bed. He tried to stop crying, but couldn't, the pain was too much. As 'Hiei' thrust hard once more, he seen black spots before his eyes. He hoped he didn't pass out. The imposter finally came hard inside Kurama's battered body. Spent, he pulled out and flopped down next to Kurama. Blinking, Kurama glanced over, glad it was done with. He reached a shaky hand up and pulled the piece of shirt out of his mouth. His jaw ached from being stretched open. Silent tears still fell as Kurama attempted to roll over. He hissed in pain when he put pressure on his backside. 'Hiei' turned over, facing Kurama.

"Kurama, you stink, go sleep somewhere else. And clean the kitchen while you're at it, fatass." He shoved Kurama out of the bed. The fox fell with a thump, moaning when his sore rear connected with the carpet. Hiei screamed.

""You fucking prick! Get your ass up and fight me you....ARGHH!"" He shook in his rage.

Kurama gingerly eased himself off the floor. Glancing at the passed out koorime, he slowly made his way to the stairs. Hiei followed behind, feeling angry at himself for letting this happen, twice. Kurama limped down the stairs, hoping he wasn't leaving a trail of blood. He glanced at the kitchen, there were food and beer bottles everywhere. Looking at the clock, he seen it was 12:32. It was pretty late. Groping the wall for support, he entered the bathroom. He was too scared to look in the mirror. Turning the shower on, he ran a hand through his sweat drenched hair and sighed.

"What could've happened to Hiei when he was gone? Did Mukuro do something...?" Pondering, he eased himself under the shower spray. He looked down and seen the water turn red before going down the drain. Blinking back tears, the fox reached for the shampoo and soap, cleaning himself of that night's violation. Hiei sat on the counter, feeling helpless and pissed. Breathing deeply, Hiei tried to calm himself down. He felt like he was having an anxiety attack. Calmed somewhat, he gazed at his lover, trying to cleanse himself of the brutality of the asshole upstairs in THEIR bed. Kurama, done showering, stepped out and wrapped himself in a towel. He finally glanced at the mirror and almost screamed. His right eye was black and blue, both cheeks were red with purple showing through. He dropped his towel and examined the rest of his body. There were many purple fingerprints donning his shoulders and hips, from where 'Hiei' gripped him hard as he thrust mercilessly inside him. Flinching, Kurama looked at his neck, where there were marks as well. Hiei moved from his spot on the counter and stood on the toilet behind Kurama, getting a closer look at the bruises on his body.

Kurama touched a particularly huge bruise which covered half his left hip. He flinched as pain soared through his side. Glancing up in the mirror, he saw Hiei's reflection. Gasping, Kurama whirled around with an apology on the tip of his tongue. Seeing nobody, he opened his mouth, but no sound came out. He looked at the door, it was still locked from the inside. Feeling his heartbeat quicken, Kurama darted his eyes around the bathroom. He was alone in there.

"Did I just imagine it...?" He pondered aloud. Hiei smiled gently from his place on the counter. Apparentally, Kurama had seen him in the mirror, but how? Hiei puzzled this phenomenom. The old man had said something about willing himself to be seen and heard. But he still didn't understand. The fox sighed and thought he was just tired. Leaving the bathroom nude, for he had no clothes downstairs, he made his way to the kitchen.

Flipping the light switch, he groaned out loud. The kitchen was worse than he thought. Most of the food was thrown around the kitchen, there was broken beer bottles littering the floor, and it looked like someone vomited under the table. Shrugging, he grabbed the utensils neccessary for the job.

About two hours later, he had the kitchen clean as a whistle. Glancing at the clock, his eyes bugged out.

"2:30 Already?!" He couldn't believe he'd taken that long to clean the kitchen. Still nude, Kurama decided to find some new pajamas before sleeping on the couch. Creeping upstairs, Kurama was careful not to make any loud noises that would alert Hiei. The little fire demon followed Kurama up the stairs, praying that his imposter wouldn't wake up and want to go another round with his fox. The kitsune eased the bedroom door open. The room was filled with the smell of sex, and loud snoring could be heard from the bundle in the blanket. Kurama smiled.

"Hiei, you look so cute like that..." He whispered to himself. Hiei snorted. How can Kurama say that after all that bastard done to him? The fox tiptoed to the dresser, pulling out a night gown that Yuusuke had given him as a gag gift. He wore it to bed a lot though. Yuusuke didn't need to know though. Smiling at not being caught, the fox made his way out of the room and downstairs. Pulling the gown over his head, Kurama lay down on the bare couch. Trying to get comfortable wasn't easy, for he had no blankets. Making up his mind, Kurama went upstairs and snuggled in the guest bed. Comfortable and clean, the fox fell to sleep easily. Hiei's eyes shimmered at the beauty that was Kurama. Even with the bruises and frown, Kurama was the most gorgeous thing to walk to planet to him. Smiling, he eased himself behind the kitsune, wrapping an arm around the slim waist. Hiei was surprised that he managed to come in contact, but he wasn't complaining. Resting for the first time in ages, Hiei fell into a deep sleep.

Kurama was woken up by freezing water being poured on his head. Sputtering, Kurama raised up and looked around. A very pissed off 'Hiei' was standing next to the bed, an empty bucket in his hand. Kurama, freezing, made eye contact with the imposter.

"Hiei, I'm sorry, what's wrong?" He asked softly. The imposter snarled.

"What's wrong?! You dumbass, look outside! It's 7:00AM and your ass should be downstairs cooking!" With that, he backhanded the whimpering fox. Kurama sat up, holding his cheek.

"S-sorry love, it'll never happen again." He hurried out of the bed and rushed downstairs. Fumbling in the kitchen, Kurama paused to remember what Hiei used to be like. He was brought out of his happy thoughts by a gruff voice behind him.

"Quit mopin' around here like someone who gets beat too much, or not enough. Yeah that's it, you need more dicipline." Kurama cowered as 'Hiei' made his way across the kitchen to him. Raising his hand, the imposter brought it down hard across Kurama's face. Falling to the floor, Kurama yelped in pain. 'Hiei' knelt beside him, and started punching him in the ribs.

"Fox, you know I'm only doing this because I love you. It's for your own good." He calmly said while beating the living shit out of the helpless fox. Finished, the imposter stood up.

"Go on a diet, starting today. Quit eating, you need to lose weight." Smirking, 'Hiei' made his way out of the house and into the backyard, tinkering with the lawn tools. Sniffling, Kurama sat up, holding his ribs in agony.

"Hiei, you never told me before that I was fat......well, if that's what you want, then I'll gladly lose weight for you." Wiping a tear from his eye, he stood up shakily and finished cooking breakfast.

Hiei woke to the sound of something smacking against flesh. He sat up and looked around.

""How in the hell did I fall asleep?"" He wondered aloud. Feeling the wetness in the bed, he looked around for his fox. Hearing a thump and a cry, Hiei floated down the stairs and into the kitchen. He was met by the imposter beating the shit out of Kurama, who was laying on the floor, cowering in fear and pain. With a shout, Hiei hovered over the imposter. Hearing the imposter say he was doing this out of love, Hiei screamed. How dare he?! Finally the imposter left, leaving Kurama on the floor. Hiei was appaled that the fake would dare call Kurama fat. What Kurama said next just wrinched his heart. Why would Kurama starve himself for that bastard?

""Because he thinks it's you..."" He answered himself. And somehow, that just made it feel worse.....
