Part I: Sent
Kurama felt tired. Constance voices he could hear in his head. Youko and Shuuichi were arguing again. They were debating on something that seemed completely unimportant. If he wasn't careful someone might recommend him to a mental institution. He laughed a little out loud at the thought. Luckily he was alone so no one would look at him weird. Think about it. It could be all over the news. He laughed at some headlines he just thought of. He quickly stopped himself.
As of late he realized he's becoming more and more human. It was as if he was splitting apart in souls. As he realized in every decision that comes up a fight would break out in his head. Youko and Shuuichi disagreed in almost everything now. Usually his human part would agree with the demon's reasoning but now as of the present it didn't happen. He felt like he was a child of a married couple. You could think of it that way because he was the personality of both sides. He felt a little of himself slip away at each argument. Plus tiredness is catching up to him.
He decided to sleep it off. Since today is a Saturday and there is no school and no mission then it's okay. He laid his head down on the pillow and closed his eyes to sleep. There are no interruptions.
Unfortunately for our half-youko, life has way too many interruptions. A knock sounded on the window. Kurama decided to ignore it and hope that the person gets the message. Once it became incessant he became annoyed so he placed the pillow over his head to drown out the noise. It still didn't stop the persistent knocking.
Kurama sat up and walked over to tell whoever it was, whether it'll be Hiei or someone else, off. He wasn't in the mood. When he saw Botan he pretended not to see her and walked back to the bed to sleep. He wondered why he's acting like this. Oh yeah, he was acting more like Shuuichi now.
"Kurama open up! It's important!" Botan called out. He groaned, sat up, and opened the window. Botan flew in happily. It didn't improve his mood.
"Didn't you hear me? I knocked for a few times already," she said.
"I'm sorry, I was asleep and wasn't feeling good. Now you said it was important?" Kurama responded calmly not to yell at her to get out.
"Oh yeah. There's this demon attacking the city. We don't know what he could do and Koenma is gathering information as we speak. The others are holding him at bay yet they can't get him." Botan explained. Kurama refrained himself from saying 'When did he ever find anything?' Obviously he was referring to Koenma.
"Okay, I guess I'll go." He said and rushed downstairs, grabbing a coat on his way out following Botan.
When Kurama made it there he saw that the others were surrounding this one particular demon. He noticed Hiei was a little annoyed because he was probably itching to slice his sword through the demons body. He figured Koenma was stopping them to find more information since they couldn't kill the demon. He ran up next to Yuusuke.
"What's going on?" Kurama asked.
"Nothing yet. So far this guy looks harmless but we can't touch him because Koenma said so," Yuusuke stated rather sarcastically. Apparently he wanted to hit someone already. Since Kurama isn't himself today he decided to bend this a little.
"Do you always listen to Koenma?"
He surprised Yuusuke and the others when he jumped behind the demon and wrapped his rose whip, without the thorns, around the demons neck, choking him. Yuusuke ran up to them.
"Kurama what the hell do you think you're doing?" He demanded.
"I want this over with! I'm tired and I need some rest! And I don't care if I'm yelling right now because I can! Now do whatever you need to do because maybe unlike you I want to go home and sleep! Besides, I'm not touching him," Kurama said the last part calmly. He never lost his cool but then again there's a first time for everything.
Yuusuke stood there dumbfounded.
"Hey! Don't stand there like a fish with your mouth open! Get moving!"
Yuusuke straightened up.
"Uh…yeah…" Before he could make a move the demon spoke.
"Hehe, foolish detectives. It doesn't matter if you touch me or not. I could kill you all with one blow," the demon said. When he said that all four of them were frozen to the spot. Kurama was now in a dangerous spot. He cursed everyone and everything that he could think of most of all, the demon he thought he mentioned more than once.
He shut his eyes as a bright light filled the area. Then he felt excruciating pain. He felt like he was being split in half. Anyone who heard him would've noticed that his voice split in two. All he could remember was pain then blacking out as if he never existed in the first place.
The others looked towards the scene after blinking a few times from the light. The demon disappeared but what lay there was a surprise. Instead of the human Kurama, it was the real Youko Kurama.

Kinshin: Another one of these pairings again. But I assure you people this will turn out better and I hope the ending would be too.
