DISCLAIMER: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho or Akana or Marcus or Youko But I DO own Mika xD.

Author's note: I was watching my friend, also known as Mina-san with her character Akana; her stories are very popular along with her character. Anyways! Back to what I was saying, I noticed two men after her heart, Youko Kurama and Marcua Kobra, yeah that seems right, and since it amused me so much I decided to write a fanfic based on, of course with a few twists of my own, which means…Someone's going to die. Anyways!! ENJOY!!!

Akana was taking her usual route from school that day, nothing really different about it. Over these past years, she has made it her top priority to live her days out as a normal human. The task has been difficult but it hasn't been too hard for her to handle. Her human friends have been a great help in the process although she has not yet told them about her being a kitsune (fox demon). She fears that once they found out they would no longer be able to accept her, that and she fears some of them will think her crazy (most likely Mika). Out of these friends, however, there is one that she has in trusted with her little secret, and that is Marcus Kobra. The two have been drawn to each other ever since the day they met, which was when he dated her other friend Mika Kagura. The two have been separated for over two years already and she has been finding herself thinking of the boy during the strangest of times. She doesn't want to admit but a mere hint of fondness is apparent deep within her. Which is one of the reasons she told him her secret in order to see that, even if he knew her darkest of secrets, he would be able to accept her. Marcus proved her right; he was able to accept her and her fondness has grown deeper for him because of this. Having these new friends and this semi-crush on the boy has made her life much easier. She has been able to forget all about her demon blood. Her past was no longer a part of her, the memories of her dear lover and brother Kurama has vanished along with the memories of her other crush Hiei. It's almost as if the two never existed.

Akana's journey brought her in front of an unfamiliar house; it was rusty with a wooden door and a yard that looked like it hasn't been touched in years. She found herself drawn to the house, almost as if it was calling her. She moved closer and closer to the door as if she was in a trance she couldn't snap out of. Her pupils became a faded crimson bluish gray color (had to ask Akana what color her eyes were >>) and just about all the white had vanished. She could feel the blood bubble within her. There was something about the house that seemed to bring out the demon within her, this wouldn't be that much of a problem normally but this time she wasn't able to control herself at all. She let herself be controlled out of boredom and curiosity of why an ordinary house would have such a great effect on her. She went so far as to touch the very tip of the door knob before she heard someone else call, a more familiar and comforting voice `Akana! What are you doing?' she wasn't able to recognize the voice just yet but it seemed to have had a stronger hold on her than the home. The rapid crying of the voice bothered her after awhile though and she decided just to ignore it. `It can't be anyone important, I don't have anyone like that, anyway I want to find out what's up with this house', with that thought she started to ignore the voice calling to her and focused her energy solely on the house, finally able to turn the knob and push it open. She only got a glimpse of the inside before she felt a great force push her to the ground immediately knocking her out of the trance and ridding any of the evidence that her demon half was close to becoming free. She looked up to see who was the cause of it and was shocked to see her good friend Marcus with confused concerned eyes looking down at her as if she had done an unthinkable crime against him.

"Akana, what were you doing?" he blinked a few times keeping his eyes locked on her, although it was easy to tell that he took a few glances at the mysterious house as well. Akana sat there a little dumfounded, honestly she didn't know how to tell him she was drawn to the house and that her demon half was on the verge of coming out, especially since she noticed her other friend Mika, behind him. Mika had no idea of what Akana was and saying something as strange as that would just make her think Akana was crazy. Mika was never one to believe anything strange like that; she was a bit slow as well. To put it simple she has always been the idiot of the group, someone they all wanted dead for some reason or another. She proved to be a worthy friend though, she would do anything for someone she cared about and was there to listen, even though she never took things seriously.

Akana took a little time to get her story together before she started with her lie; " I thought I saw a little kitten in the window, so I wanted to go see for sure. I never had a kitten before so I was hoping I could keep it as a pet…. or something", she scratched the back of her neck; it was obvious to tell she was nervous but luckily her most idiotic friends were there so she didn't fear them suspecting much. Marcus didn't believe one word of it, but he knew there had to be a reason she didn't want to tell them so he kept the comment to himself…as for Mika, however…"Really? A kitten!" she raced to the front door and was about to rush in before Akana grabbed the edge of her shirt " Leave the kitten alone, you're going to scare it!!" her tone of voice was almost convincing, she sounded as if she believed there really was a kitten in the home. Mika looked back at Akana with an almost mischievous smirk "I love kittens." For some reason the fact that Mika smirked like that didn't make her feel better. It never was good when Mika was in a good mood; there was just something about it that meant trouble.

A sigh escaped Akana's lips as she released her friend's shirt. "Whatever, not like I'm responsible for what happens to a kitten" with that she walked off with Marcus following right behind her. The two seemed to be together all the time, like two chicks confused whom the chicken was. Mika just watched the two walked off till they were nothing more but little dots in the horizon." But…. it's no fun if you don't care…" she blinked a few times then looked back at the empty house, a giant smile forming on her face. "Soon, everything would come to place…. I wonder who she'd chose." With that she walked off hands in her pockets and head bowed down. She had a lot to think about but there was no point of going back now. To her, the only fair thing would be to confront a certain few men about what has become of their dear kitsune….

"Onii-chan, is it alright if I sleep with you today?"

The young kitsune girl pleaded her big brother. The girl tried to look as innocent as possible, making her eyes watery and ears drooped down to the side as if she would just cry if he said no.

Kurama looked down at his younger sister with a smile on his face and couldn't help but chuckle. His little sister was so adorable. She was like a female version of him, even though he looked rather `girlish' himself. He couldn't resist but say, "yes" to her childish pleading. The little girl was pleased to hear that and immediately hopped into bed with not another word but a huge smile spread across her face.

The two snuggled next to each other, Kurama with his arm wrapped around her, holding her close and protective. He loved his younger sibling more than anything, they have been together for only a few years but it seems longer. Once he felt that his sister was asleep he gave her a small peck on the cheek and pulled her close enough to be able to whisper into her ear, almost brushing her ear with the tip of his lip. "Akana, you'll be my little girl forever, not even Hiei himself can take you away from me." The little girl's ear just merely wiggled as his breath hit it. She was too far asleep to have heard one word of it but Kurama didn't care, that was for the best actually.

Kurama had finally closed his eyes to fall asleep before the door slammed open, wakening the little one as well. Kurama looked up to see whom the rude intruder was, he was rather shocked to find it was Hiei. He looked at him wanting to ask what had made him barge into their room without even a knock or warning but before he could, Hiei interrupted him. "Kurama "it's" here". As soon as Hiei said that a cold shiver went through Kurama's spine, he knew exactly what "it" was. He looked at his still sleepy sister and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He hated to do this, but he had no other choice in this situation, "Akana, you stay with the maid for a little while" he forced a smile on his face so he wouldn't worry the girl. She looked at big brother a little confused, she didn't want to go anywhere without onii-chan. "No, I want to stay with you, the maid is mean to me…." Kurama didn't have time to argue with her so he called out for the maid, who came as soon as she could. It seemed that the maid knew as well of what was going on, she took the girl without another word from Kurama and began to walk away, rather quickly too, with the girl in her arms. "Don't worry Akana! I'll be back for you someday!" he called out as loud as he could so he was able to make sure the girl heard him, then without another moment to spare the two vanished out to do their difficult task.

The girl was scared and didn't know what was going on, she kept calling her brother but he wouldn't come. The maid told her to be quiet; her face turned pale each time the girl screamed. The girl finally got the hint and tried her best to stay quiet but she wanted so much to ask what was going on but she didn't think now was the best time. `Why are we running away? What's going to happen to Onii-chan?' she thought to herself as the maid brought her outside of the house. It was there when they saw "it", it seemed to be a girl but it was hard to tell. The figure was in a dark shadow and it was hard to see any of the features. Before she knew it she was tossed aside by the maid, who seemed ready to fight or so it seemed. The girl couldn't see much, she was tossed behind something as to protect her from "it". But what she did saw probably scarred the little thing.

Her maid seemed to have tried all she could to protect the young girl, but in the end…. it resulted in her death. The lady died right before the little one's eyes, it all happened so fast. The maid didn't get a chance to dodge before the girl quickly slashed at her twisting the blade as it entered her body. From where the girl was sitting she was able to see a slight smile on the girls face, an almost demented smile, more like a smirk. It was obvious to tell she enjoyed it very much.

The girl noticed the little kitsune and walked toward her almost mockingly slowly. This was what the girl came for, before the kitsune could react, the girl already grabbed hold of her. The little kitsune cried and yelled all she could but no one responded to them. It became apparent there was no escaping the girl. As tears flowed down the kitsune's face, the girl laughed then picked her up tossing her over her shoulder. "You'll be living with me little one, I hope you don't mind" the girl laughed. The kitsune didn't say anything; she wasn't about to argue with someone who could kill her at any minute. The whole thing was too much for the kitsune to handle she found her eyes sliding close; the last thing she saw was a…tail?

"Is that it?"

"Yes sir"

"They tried to prevent the capture but they were no threat against me"

"She's young, are you sure this is not too soon?"

"Don't get soft now…. This is the perfect time"

Akana woke up from the dream a bit confused. She had no clue who the people in her dream were. The maid looked familiar however, it was the women Mika always called her mother. The girl would jump up and down whenever she'd see a picture of the lady and start running around the room screaming "Mama mama mama!", it was rather idiotic but it was strange that Akana had a dream of Mika's mother. `That man…Kurama I think it was, he was sweet, but why did I call him my brother?' Akana was very confused; she didn't know what to think of the whole thing. She had no idea who those men were or that weird girl with the tail. She concentrated hard trying to figure out the facial features of the girl, but the image just didn't come to her. For some reason, she felt she had to know who that girl with the tail was. Just the thought of her gave Akana chills down her spine. "I guess it's not important-" "What's not important?!" Mika jumped onto Akana's bed without letting her say another word with a great big smile on her face. "Mika…." Akana could feel a vein pop out from her being aggravated before she kicked her off her bed. "Ow," Mika rubbed her head then looked up at the girl "You seem upset, what's wrong Akana?". Akana didn't say anything for a while, her mind was still on that dream she had. There were so many people she didn't know there and then there was Mika's mother…. `Oh right! Mika's mother was in it!'. "Mika, was your mother a maid by any chance?" Mika blinked at what she said then finally smiled "Mama, was not my mama… Nor was she really a maid!!" "What the hell?!? I asked if she was a maid, that's not answering my question!" Mika laughed then jumped up and ran out the door "Oh and Marcus wants to talk to you about something! He says it important" without saying anything else or allowing Akana to say anything else she ran off, almost as if she was avoiding the topic all together. Akana just shook her head aggravated by her idiotic friend, "Baka". Akana finally got up from bed and decided that the dream she was nothing more than a dream, she had far more important things to worry about anyway.

I don't like this story…. But oh well!!…R&R!

Mina-san: you've got some screwed up things in your fic…o.o
