Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Trapped between two girls. ❯ You... ( Chapter 31 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]

( Alright since I am sick and can't talk I got time to update WOO…instead of reading he bunny book or studying for three tests on Monday…. ^^;; oh well…so here I go… ::cough cough:: )

Once Kitty's legs carried her to that dark and dank cell, she collapsed onto the mattress and buried her face within the pillow.

`No wonder they haven't come for me…they've forgotten about me, all of them looked so happy…' Kitty's eyes started to water and tears instantly started to fall from her eyes, she didn't stop them nor did she want to as she got lost in thought about her friends seeming to have forgotten all about her and all the time they had spent together.

`I guess I deserve to stay here…my unhappiness brings others happiness…I guess I don't care about my suffering…as long as other people are happy I don't mind nor do I care…I should have known this would have happened, I was right…I am worthless…' The tears fell harder from her eyes and started to soak the pillow.

She stayed in that room, lying on her bed, for the next three days. Guards had stopped by and left food for her, even her cell door was now left open for her, but she refused to eat and get out of that bed. Rain still poured outside and Kitty stayed in that bed motionless staring either up at the ceiling or at the walls on either side of her. Her face would occasionally show tear streaks from the times that she couldn't hold her tears back, the lack of food was starting to take a toll on how strong she was both emotionally and physically.
The sound of her stomach growling at her like a hungry lion filled her ears as she rolled over and faced the open cell door. There was only the one tray that the guard had left there for her moments ago and it looked to by an actual hot meal from the steam that was leaving the top of the tray.

“I'm not hungry…” she muttered to herself and her eye wandered up to the door way that was open for her freely to just walk out. Kitty had found herself looking at it a few times over the last couple of days, contemplating whether she should explore the area she was around, or to sit and rot away in her cell where she knew everything around her.

Finally, after about ten minuets of staring at the door, Kitty rolled out of the bed and stood up. Her knees felt weak supporting her body weight and they shook under neither of her, but she carefully made her way to the cell door and into the hall. It was just as she had remembered it when she had left earlier. Kitty's eyes darted around to see if there was anyone there; no one.

`Guess I was all alone…like it should be…' With the coast clear, she made her way to the door and left the dungeon like area and started to explore that once before-seen hallway.

Everything was in its same place, like a flashback to when she had walked down there with the cloaked figure but it felt warmer, more of a welcoming warmth. She continued to walk around and the hall seemed endless and completely empty of all life but her own.

“So pretty…” Kitty whispered to herself at the paintings that were on the walls in perfect alignment.

“Yes, I don't think I would have them on the wall if they weren't…” A voice stated behind her and she swiftly turned around as she tensed. There was that same cloaked figure and the voice matched it as well.

`Does he have to sneak up on me like that? I didn't even sense him…'

Kitty just stared at him looking the least bit startled, luckily she didn't have tear streaks on her face to show weakness. In her head, however, she doubted that they hadn't heard her at least once or twice over the last three days.

“I suppose I understand the silence…Though I only showed you what you hadn't seen while you were with those so-called friends of yours. I thought that you at least deserved that…” The cloaked man shrugged his shoulders.

`At least some one was being honest towards me…though I don't even know who the hell he is…'

“I am guessing that you would like to know who I am them…” Kitty nodded her head and stared at as the man reached up and slowly removed the hood.

`Way to read my thoughts… `But as the hood was removed, a small gasp escaped her lips as she gazed at icy blue eyes against a near to white complexion yet one was not visible from black bangs covering the left eye.

“You…” She muttered and stared at the boy, instantly remembering him from that lunch time at school.

“Yes, I thought that you would remember me from when you couldn't quite get that water bottle in the trash.” He smirked, not an evil sort of smirk but a sort of taunting one.

“Why…?” Was all Kitty could muster out from the jumbled thoughts that were rushing through her mind at those moments.

“I told you…I thought you deserved to know the truth of all that was happening around you that you were too blind to see…now come and eat something you look famished…” Kitty eyed him suspiciously but in the end followed him to a dinning hall which was through one of the shut doors.

Food was set up on a round table and the sound of a growling stomach echoed a bit in the room at the sight and smell of it all.

The boy chuckled, “Well, do as your stomach wishes and eat.” Kitty looked at him and sniffed a bit. “It's not poisoned that I promise you and if you do not trust me then go and pick a piece out and I will eat it to prove it to you.” So she did and grabbed a slice of pizza that was left on a plate.

“Alright…” Kitty handed it to him and watched him eat it, sure enough he didn't fall over after he had chewed and swallowed it.

`Hmm…should I?' But then again her stomach answered for her and moments later she was eating the food set out, picking and choosing what she thought was edible.

“There now doesn't that seem better?” He asked as he took a seat and nibbled on some near by food himself.

“Mhmm…” she swallowed what was in her mouth and looked at him through the light of the many candles that lit the room quite brightly, “What's your name?” Her voice held no emotion except for slight curiosity.

“Oh did I leave that little detail out?”

“Uhuh…” Kitty bit into a piece of bread as she waited and looked at him for his response.

“Just call me Ryan…” He said and she seemed to have accepted that answer while she continued to regain her strength.

After about fifteen minuets of eating, she was now washing it down with a glass of milk.

“There, isn't that much better to have food in your stomach?” Ryan asked as he watched her.

“Hn…”

“Still not talkative however…” He muttered to himself and Kitty glared at him a bit.

`Pain in the ass…. Wait….this explains a lot really….how he had told me to stay away from Shuichi…he knew all along that he really was with that Kristen girl….' A low hiss escaped her mouth as an image of Kurama and Kristen together popped in her head, luckily Ryan had either not heard it or ignored the sound.

After eating, Ryan took Kitty on a tour of the place, though he had refused to go down one of the corridors, simply stating that it was a private area not to be seen by her.

`Yeah…probably has slaved down there that he keeps for his own pleasure….what the heck am I thinking….' She shook her head as they continued to the tour until the had arrived back at the dining hall, though this time all of the food was cleaned up and the table was clear except for two candle that were placed on either side of the table.

“And that concludes the look around.” Ryan concluded and looked at Kitty who had still the same blank look on her face.

`This is going to be harder then I thought….as long as Kristen stays out of here s-`But the boys thoughts were cut off as the door to the dining hall opening. All eyes shifted to see who was there and to Kitty's surprise there stood the catalyst of all of her aggravation and tears; Kristen. Though she stood there she seemed completely oblivious to Kitty's presence all thanks to her nose stuck in a beauty/fashion magazine from the human world.

“Bro, they've arrived for that worthless human girl in the dungeon. Remember you can't hurt Shuichi…if you do I will hurt you…'

“Kristen!” Ryan shouted glancing at Kitty, whom was standing there in complete shock and yet on her face was growing rage and anger towards the girl in the doorway.

`Her…that air headed bimbo…Kurama stealing…pain in the ass….Prep…' every though in her head was filled with anger and hatred.

So there they all were, the completely oblivious preppy Kristen, the now, wide eyed shocked Ryan, and Kitty, whose rage and energy was slowly rising.
