Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Unbearable ❯ I Can’t Believe This! ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

Disclaimer: Don't own it, but if I did, then I wouldn't be writing this fanfic. I do own all the other characters in this story that aren't from Yu Yu Hakusho.

A/N: before you read this story that I somehow made in my head, I must warn you. This is not a in any way a happy look at anyone, but there will be some funny jokes and pranks. Yusuke is still a crazy punk, Kuwabara was denied by Yukina, Hiei does not in any way like Kurama and wants him dead and Kurama feels the same. As for everything else, well just read and see for yourself. Also, the pairings are a surprise. It's better if I don't say them and just have you guess who they are.

Summary: The guys all go to Genkai's for some training for a week and really wish they didn't upon arriving. While there they meet another spirit team who has been around longer than they have. There's only one problem, they don't like each other…at all. One week of normal training gone to hell and back will make for an interesting week. Plus a small tournament to see which team is stronger then the other will have hate, cursing, and pranks at an all time high and maybe some funny romance along the way.

Chapter one:

I Can't Believe This!

As another stamp was added to yet another document and carried off, another document replaced it. It had been going on for a good five hours, and for the first time, Koenma was going insane by it. Yes, he had gotten used to doing the task of stamping a paper and getting another in a never ending cycle, but today he was going out of his mind and his hand was getting numb.

The poor paper that was placed in front of him didn't know what it had gotten itself into. The look in Koenma's eyes was that of a madman as he looked about ready to kill. He put the stamp down, away from the papers that were piled on his desk and stood up. He looked at it for a while and then pounced. His hands went straight for it and ripped it to shreds while he laughed victoriously.

He was so caught up in the destruction of the poor innocent paper that he didn't even notice the door open or see Botan walk in. He did however feel the punch to the head that Botan gave him when he wasn't listening to her. He scowled as he rubbed it, already feeling a bump forming as remembrance. Looking up at the fuming woman in front of him scared him and he backed away ever so slowly wishing that he could go through walls right now.

Botan calmed when she saw him getting farther from her and took a deep breath. She mentally sighed at his foolishness, but pushed it aside for the moment. She had a message for him and having him dead before he got it wouldn't be a good start. `Alright, down to business before I murder him myself.' she thought really wishing she hadn't. Now different plots and scenarios of how Koenma could die were popping up in her mind and oh how she wished she could play them out at the moment, but reluctantly restrained herself.

“Koenma, I have something for you from your father.” At the mention of his father, Koenma when from being scared of Botan to worried. Not just worried like you worry if you can make it in time for an appointment, but rather worry like something horrible is about to happen and there's nothing you can do about it. He had a bad feeling about what Botan had to tell him and the smile on her face wasn't helping.

“Really now?” He gulped feeling the worry in his stomach growing. “What about?” There, he asked it. Now he just had to brace himself for what she was going to say. He really hoped it wasn't that bad.

“It's about Yusuke and the team.” He felt his worry double and feared for the worst. Was his father still mad at him for disobeying him after the demon world tournament? Oh, he really hoped not. “Yes, he would like them to go for some training with Genkai.” Botan said smiling and just waiting for the reaction to come.

`Oh crap! That was it?' Koenma relaxed instantly before realizing something. His father never did anything without a reason. “Botan, what's the catch?”

“Oh, he just wants them to train with her.” She inwardly smirked knowing the next piece of information. Yeah, he was going to freak. “Along with the other spirit team.”

Koenma felt his jaw drop and his eyes grow ten sizes too large. Oh yeah, he was ready for just about anything then, but what his father had in mind was just absurd. Putting Yusuke and the rest with the other spirit team was asking for a new war.

“Yeah, he said that it would be a good learning experience for all of them. He's also thinking of having a tournament at the end of the week. He wants it to take place in the demon world for everyone to see.” Botan laughed as his jaw dropped more, if even possible, and lost all color in his face.

“Oh shit! Tell me you're joking with me Botan!” He just about cried when she shook her head no. His head dropped and he was really close to crying and ripping his hair out. `Why?' he asked him self. God only knew.

“Nope, and now that I've told you, I've got to fetch them and get them to Genkai's by tomorrow morning. Besides the other team is already there and waiting.” Koenma slouched against the wall hoping for it to hold him up while he felt the end of the worlds approaching. Botan laughed as she walked out and waved before closing the door behind her.

Two minutes later to the second, a loud cry was heard through spirit world. The pressure and his father's idea of fun finally got to Koenma.

A knock at the window woke the boy sleeping in the room, and boy was he pissed by it. He had just gotten in not twenty minutes ago and now someone was knocking at his window. He really needed his precious sleep and this person was keeping it from him. When he got his hands on them he was going to murder them slowly, or quickly so that he could go back to bed and sleep. He didn't really know which he would choose, but both were looking to be promising.

The person knocked again as he was getting up from his bed and walking over to the damn window. He noticed that it was Botan since he knew her to be the only girl he's ever met to have blue hair. He groaned knowing that the only reason she would ever come around was to give tell him about a new mission or bad news. He was hoping she was around now to chat or something, but that wasn't going to happen.

He opened the window and moved away to let her enter his room. She smiled at him, crammed herself through the window and made it through. Now that that was over, onto the hard part for Botan. On her way here, she thought of different ways of breaking it lightly to Yusuke. None seemed to work that great since they had a low success rate. The other three had been easy enough to find and showed no problems of doing as she said, but Yusuke was different. She was brought back to her surroundings when she saw Yusuke walking away from her and to his bed and before lying down.

“Let me sleep til the morning Botan. Come back later.” She shook her head at him. Well, threatening him always worked, right? She giggled remembering all the times in the past that he threatening had the desired effect. `Threatening it is.' she mentally shouted with a fist in the air. `And maybe a little bit of force in case he makes me mad.'

“Yusuke get your ass off of that bed and get moving now!” He winced at her screaming and faintly registered what she said, that was until something very hard hit his head. He jumped right off the bed and landed on his back on the floor. Then came even more hitting that happened to hurt like hell and Botan yelling for him to get up. `Well, so much for extra sleep. Fuck and I was almost there too.'

“Alright Botan, I get it! I'm up! I'm up!” he yelled back while holding his arms in front of his body, blocking all incoming hits to his head and body. Botan stopped swinging her broom and let Yusuke get up. “Now, what the hell do you want?” By now he was pissed, wait, he was beyond pissed. He really wanted to choke Botan right now or take her broom and hit her a couple of times and see if she liked it.

“Pack your things Yusuke. You have to go to Genkai's for training.” Yusuke groaned and really wanted to take her broom at this very moment, but restrained himself because he would probably have Kuwabara and a few others on his ass for hitting her. He looked up at her and noticed her bright smile and wanted to gag.

“Why the hell do I have to go to grandmas for training? In case you haven't noticed, I'm strong enough.” Maybe he could convince her to leave him be, or he could just annoy her enough to make her leave. Yeah, he'll go with that one.

“Yusuke you baka! I wouldn't be here telling you to go for training at Genkai's if you were so strong!” Yusuke drew back in fear at the look of anger on Botan's once happy face. “Now, get your damn things and get your ass over to her place! If you don't, then I'll know and it won't be pretty.” She threatened, holding back laughter at the scared look in Yusuke's eyes.

Yusuke didn't say another thing after that and did exactly as he was told. Clothes for a whole week and anything else he used were stuffed into a bag as he got on Botan's oar and they went to Genkai's.

When the other spirit team was informed of the King Enma's plans, they were amused. The council informed them of what was to happen and not to get too carried away. If they did, they knew there would be consequences, and none of them liked having to deal with the council.

Their team was made up of three people, two females and one male. They were quite the team since they didn't like the each other much, but they fought well together.

Saiah, who had the most experience since he was alive longer, was the leader of the three person team. He was quite lazy and most of the time did stupid things that put shame to even Kuwabara, but he wasn't the leader for no reason. Though it didn't seem like it, he knew things during critical times and was very much in control of his powers, plus he could kill anyone and hit any target with his daggers. He was tall, slightly muscular, had short black hair and wore contacts that made his eyes look light brown. He controlled the powers of water, ice, light and life as they were assigned to him when he first joined the team.

There were two girls that made up the last two-thirds of the team. Samantha, who was the youngest, was known as the happy and energetic one of the three. She had long brown hair, with light green eyes and a small figure. She wasn't much in height or physical strength, but her precise control of her powers and temper made up for it. She controlled earth and wind with frightening strength that even the other two were afraid of at times.

The last one was the most complicated of the three. Her name real name was Amaya, but it changed when she joined the team. Upon joining the team, she was named Ikari, which she hated with a passion. It meant wrath, not something she wanted people to know about her after hearing her name.

She was rarely seen socializing with others and was quite the dark one. Of course, that was the type the council needed to do what they asked and control what she was give to control. She had short, wispy black hair, ice blue eyes, and a more muscular structure than Samantha. She, like Samantha, was short, but her fighting style, powers, sharp tongue and sharp thinking made up for it and made many afraid of her. She controlled darkness, death, fire and lightning.

All three of them showed up at Genkai's at the same time, only to see the Rekai Tentai and Botan arguing.

Genkai was watching from the sidelines, her anger rising from all the yelling, when she felt three new aura's at her front door. She walked over and opened it to be met with the sight of the other spirit team.

“Hello. You must be Genkai.” Saiah said, Genkai's eyebrow rising knowing that he was sucking up.

“Yes I am. You're the other team?”

“Yes we are.” Samantha's cheerful voice filled the air making the noise inside the house stop immediately. “My name's Samantha, but you can call me Sam or Sammy. Either is fine with me.” She placed her hand out to shake Genkai's, which Genkai shook after a minute of staring and wondering what Sam was on to be so happy.

Genkai looked past Samantha and saw another woman behind her. She felt like the woman wanted in no way to be here or with the two people in front of her and inwardly smirked. She was about to ask her name, but was stopped by Saiah.

“That's Ikari.” He said pointing his thumb behind him, his mood becoming darker at mentioning her name. “She doesn't talk much, so don't expect much from her.” He finished, smiling and taking the attention away from Ikari.

“Can you suck up anymore asshole?” Ikari hissed as she walked past Genkai and Saiah and into the house, her glare never faltering as she passed Saiah.

Samantha sighed, while Saiah watched Ikari with pure hate in his contact colored eyes.

Kurama watched the trio walk in and immediately didn't like how this was going. He was already in the same room as Hiei, who hated at the moment, and now three more people to cause more trouble in his life. He sighed inwardly, feeling his control slipping slightly each passing second.

Hiei didn't like how the three people, or rather beings since they weren't humans, were already making things more complicated. He did however like Ikari, sensing how she and him were very much alike. `Maybe someone worthy enough to train with. I might be able to use my dragon of the darkness flame on her and she might survive it with all the energy that's radiating from her.' He thought before walking out of the room. He didn't like how Kuwabara and Kurama were there, especially Kurama.

Ikari went on ahead and set her sights for finding her room instead of staying behind like the other two in her team and getting to know everyone else, but she was tired. She only had a few hours of sleep in the past week. Being dead tired in a house full of power full idiots wasn't her idea of a good start, so she went ahead. Getting sleep in a room all by herself was the only thing running through her mind and no one was going to stop her.

Samantha and Saiah got to know Yusuke, Kuwabara, Kurama and Botan, neither getting close to Hiei. They were instantly reminded of Ikari, except Hiei was shorter and male. It was a bit annoying for them to run into someone else like her, but they kept their mouths shut.

Genkai, who came back into the living room after getting about five aspirin, told everyone to get a room and sleep.

“If any fights break out tonight, I'm going to kill who ever started it and who ever tries to stop me. No one destroys my house, understood?” Her tone sent shivers down the backs of everyone she told that to. It left room for no arguments, only fear.

No two people roomed together in the same room, knowing full well that if time spent with someone too much, that a fight would break out. They also knew the consequences of what would happen and avoided each other like the plague.

Sleep for everyone came eventually, and when morning came all were gathering in the kitchen. Well, all except Hiei and Ikari. Yusuke and the rest knew Hiei was out somewhere by himself, probably lying in a tree somewhere and thinking. Samantha and Saiah knew Ikari was still sleeping. She was a great fighter and great assassin, but when she was tired they noticed that slugs moved faster than she did.

Botan and Genkai made breakfast quickly, feeding the rest and cleaned the dishes afterwards.

“Saiah, if you see Ikari, tell her that there's food for her in the kitchen.”

Genkai's statement made him stop and look at her. “She doesn't eat breakfast.” Genkai shot him a half glare and confused stare at the tone he used when talking about her. “If she does, she gets sick and throws up.”

Yusuke was a few feet away and heard that. He was gaping, resembling a fish in many ways and didn't care that anyone else saw him. He just couldn't believe what he heard about Ikari.

“How in the hell does someone get sick from eating breakfast?”

Before anyone could answer, a yell was heard from inside one of the rooms. Yusuke knew that it was Kuwabara's by the raspy sound and wasn't surprised that something would happen to him sooner or later. No one rushed to see what happened, but when they heard a female's battle cry, everyone was running at full speed to the scene.

It was a horrifying picture to say the least. Kuwabara looked all black, blue and red with a few missing teeth. No one wanted to assume what happened, but it was pretty clear by the looks of it. Kuwabara tried to make a move on Ikari.

She being completely cold hearted and irritated that she was woken up early went all out and just about killed him. She only stopped when Kurama and Yusuke held her back and Saiah held her down with ice, hurting her more than anything.

Botan knew it was stupid, but she had to ask. “What in king Enma's name happened in here?”

A loud, deep growl indicated that Ikari was a little pissed at the mention of what happened. “That ass tried to kiss me in my sleep.” The other occupants in the room held back laughter, but were barely able to contain it. “He called me Yukina and said he loved me!”

Yusuke couldn't help it when he heard Yukina's name and was happy that Hiei wasn't here. He would have to hold someone else back before they too came close to killing Kuwabara.

“Ok, that would merit to hitting Kuwabara, a lot, but not coming close to killing him.”

Ikari sighed. “Yeah, well he groped me. He deserves to have his balls cut off at least if I can't kill him.” Ikari smiled, which made everyone gulp and all the males in the room pale at hearing what she just suggested to do to Kuwabara.

“Ikari, no man deserves such punishment, no matter what they did.” Yusuke said seriously.

Ikari looked straight at Saiah and glared. “I know a few that deserve it.” Her glare intensified, if possible, and cursed Saiah into his next life.

“If only you were male Ikari.” Saiah said shaking his head in disappointment.

“Right back at you jackass!”

Everyone else just watched as the insults went back and forth between the two flinching when it got too ugly and laughing when it was called for. It was very entertaining.

“I'll have you know that I am.”

Ikari chuckled. “That's not what people say.”

Saiah glared at her darkly. “And just what do they say about me?”

“Do I really have to spell it out for you, or do you get the picture?”

“I need a picture since I'm too stupid to understand.”

“You got that right.” Ikari mumbled, but most of the people picked it up and laughed. “As for the answer to request, they say you're small, unimpressive, can't perform and they have to fake it all.” She smirked as Saiah's glare intensified. “Satisfied? Oh wait, you don't know what that word means. My bad.”

Saiah rolled his eyes dramatically. “This coming from a virgin.”

Ikari laughed. “I'm being insulted by a man whore?” She faked shock, adding hand movements and dramatic facial expressions making it more comical. “When did the world become so fucked up?”

“Since you started defending it.” He snarled.

Ikari chuckled. “If we need to get technical, it was fucked when you first started, which was by far earlier than me. So, you fucked it up, not me.” Satisfaction rang through her voice, making it clear that she was winning and leaving him to eat her dust.

No one paid attention to the fact that through out all the arguing, the ice holding Ikari in place had melted, but they did notice the smell of fire. More precisely, they noticed Saiah's clothes on fire. No one moved, none of them knowing whether to laugh at his high pitched screaming or to help him out. They went with the first, laughing uncontrollably.

Koenma popped in the room the moment Saiah's clothes caught fire and felt all hope of peace and harmony in this house or for the week disappear in an instant. They're going to kill each other sooner than I thought! It hasn't been a full day yet and there's a possible casualty already! Damn my father and his sick ideas.'

Ice covered over Saiah and the fire was out, but the fire and hate in his eyes was far from being burnt out. Ikari smirked, getting in a defensive stance, ready for anything Saiah might hit her with.

“Enough!”

Everyone's head snapped towards the door seeing Koenma. He was livid, not liking how this whole arrangement was going.

“Everyone just stop and sit down.” No one moved making his blood boil more. “NOW!” In an instant, everyone was sitting, terrified of Koenma's mood. “Good! Now, what in the hell is going on here?” Silence greeted his question, but he did see the smiles that showed on everyone's faces, except Saiah's. “Not everyone at once now.”

Ikari got up from her spot and stood in front of Koenma's teenage form. If she had been normal, she knew she would have been drooling at the sight before her. “Kuwabara molested me which made me almost kill him and then everyone came in and stopped me. Saiah and I got into an argument and I set his clothes on fire afterwards. End of story.” She said keeping a straight face the entire time.

Koenma looked a little horrified, but ended up laughing. He looked at Saiah and noticed his charred clothes and broke down in laughter. It took him a while, but he finally calmed down.

“Holy crap! That's hilarious!”

“Yeah, it was so funny that Kuwabara broke his ribs laughing so hard. Yup, that's it.” Ikari said sarcastically to Koenma. “He deserved it though.”

Koenma laughed harder at that. Ikari was sarcastic as hell, but she was funny as well. Also the fact that she was so serious about it all made it even more hilarious.

Botan walked in, bumping into Koenma, who landed in Yusuke's arms, and smiled too sweetly. “I have good news for you guys. Training is going to start soon, so be down stairs in ten minutes or Genkai's going to murder you on the spot if you're late.” She said in a sing song voice before she turned around and left.

Ikari watched her leave and leaned over towards Yusuke who still had Koenma in his arms. “Dude, she scares me.”

Both nodded their heads. “She has that effect on many.” Koenma answered, not daring to move from Yusuke's warm, strong arms.

Ikari noticed the two and couldn't help but chuckle. `So Koenma is into his spirit detective? This is getting interesting. I wonder if the punk knows.' In an instant, she pulled everyone out of the room. All but the two who were in each other's arms.

Koenma didn't want to move, liking how he was and didn't want Yusuke to see that he was blushing like school girl. `Don't move Yusuke. I don't want to let go yet.'

“Koenma” Yusuke started softly. He felt Koenma's arms tighten around him slightly, making something in him stir. “Can we talk later after my training? I have something I need to talk to you about.”

Koenma gulped nodding his head. “Okay.” He noticed he was slightly taller than Yusuke in his teenage form and smiled. Well, that was one point for him so far, now all he had to worry about was what Yusuke was going to tell him.

`Nothing bad I hope. Don't let it be bad. Don't let it be bad.' Koenma chanted in his mind. He slowly dropped his arms from Yusuke's body, after he got his blush under control, and stepped back.

Before either moved, Ikari walked back into the door and started getting clothes together and changing in front of them.

“Ikari, can you do that some where else?” asked a blushing Koenma.

She just raised her eyebrow at him, not saying a word before shrugging. “Well, I don't know. This is my room and you two love birds are still in it. Who's wrong here?” It seemed that the two just stared at her for a second before it clicked and they realized that they were in fact in her room. “If you plan on doing anything, take it to your room Yusuke.”

“What do you mean by that Ikari?” Koenma asked hotly. Ikari flinched at hearing that name from someone else other than the council and her two teammates.

“Don't call me that.” She whispered before putting a loose black shirt on.

“Then what should we call you?” Yusuke asked noticing the change of mood in the girl in front of him.

“Talhia. I hate Ikari and if you call me that, I'll kick your ass so bad, that you'll still be recovering in one hundred years.”

Yusuke nodded and turned towards Koenma. He put his hand on the demigod's shoulder, trying to lead both of them out quickly before they saw another change in Ikari or she thought of a greater punishment.
