“Of course not.” It was not a lie; I wasn't in any trouble… currently.
“This is the fifth time in the last three months that I've had to order you a new school uniform.”
I was very glad she hadn't seen the state of the uniforms I had thrown away; they were too ripped and blood covered to be repaired.
“I'm sorry mother, they keep getting ruined, I can pay for a new one.”
“Shuuichi, you know you can tell me anything, right?”
“Yes mother.”
