Chapter one: The disappearance

!!
The air was dank and musky, and the floor was wet and covered in mold. The chains holding her captive were old and rusty and bit into her skin painfully, drawing the slightest amount of blood. Her cloths were torn and matted with blood, clinging to her skin. She was bleeding profusely out of a wound on her stomach and head. The bruises covering her face, arms, and legs stung and were oozing a sickly green puss. One of her eyes was completely closed and she couldn't open it at all, and her lips were chapped and bleeding. Even though she still sustained all these injuries, she still glared defiantly at the woman before her.

She was wearing skin tight black leather pants and a black tube top. Her boots went to mid-thigh and the heels were dangerously sharp like daggers. The paleness of her skin contrasted greatly with the black clothing she wore. Her hair was long and black and her eyes were a deadly shade of red. Her blood red lips were curled back into a sneer as she glared down at the pathetic heap of a person at her feet that was still glaring at her.

“You still won't talk? Oh well, your going to die soon anyway. That sword I cut you with,” She motioned to the stomach wound, “was tipped with a special poison. You're going to die painfully and slowly all within a couple of hours. Even if your precious friends DID manage to find you, you'd already be dead!” She laughed and it bounced of the walls of the small enclosed cell she was in. It was high pitched and she sounded like a harpy.

The girl on the floor just spat at her. It landed on her boot, which caused the woman before her to shriek and slap her, her inch long nails leaving four long marks on her right cheek and one small one, all bleeding. The woman turned to leave, and purposely stepped on her left foot with the heel of her boot, which acted like a dagger and tore right through the skin and out the other side. The girl screamed in pain as the woman retched her heel out of the foot at an angle, leaving a small rip in it. Though it may be small, you could still see right through it.

The woman sneered at her one more time before leaving through the cell door and slamming it behind her. She could hear the turn of the lock as she brought her foot closer to her. She cried lightly at the pain. She would have cried more, but she had already cried so much, she didn't think she could cry much more.
!!

Amara shot up in the hotel bed breathing heavily. She frantically looked around her and noticed she was not in a cell, but in the cheap hotel room she had gone to bed in last night. She frantically looked at her body, and was relived to see no wounds or bruises. She shuddered as she climbed out of bed and moved to the window. She pulled back the curtains and sunlight spilled into the room, making her blind for a second at the brightness. She blinked a few times to clear her vision before opening the window and letting the cool morning air hit her hot skin.

She sighed and leaned out more, crossing her arms on the window sill as she looked out at the sight before her. Her small hotel room was overlooking a small lake with a sakura tree in full bloom beside it. The sight was relaxing. She ran her hand through her tangled hair, feeling how dirty it was. She sighed and closed the window before going to the small bathroom and turning on the shower head. She made sure the water was hot before shedding her cloths and stepping in.

As the hot water pounded onto her back and shoulders, she thought about the dream. `Yes, that's all it was. A dream. It was just a dream.'

“BOTOOON!!!”

A very enraged Koenma sat behind his desk sucking his pacifier wildly. Boton, who had been on the other side of the castle, winced at his shout. She quickly made her way to his office. She knocked timidly and Koenma shouted for her to come in. She stuck her head in meekly. “You wanted to see me Koenma, sir?”

He glared at her. “Yes! I want you to bring the spirit detectives here immediately!!” She got a confused look on her face. She had been in an isolated part of the…castle, and hadn't heard the horrible news yet. “Why do you want me to do that Koenma sir? Is it a new case?”

He glared at her. “Why else would I ask you to bring them to me?! I must see them immediately! This case is going to be of the utmost importance!!” Boton stepped fully into the room looking more confused than ever. “But Koenma sir, what could be so important?” Koenma suddenly looked very depressed. “The unthinkable has happened.”

Boton didn't catch the meaning in those words right away. It took a moment before her eyes widened and she gasped, covering her mouth looking very frightened. “Y-you m-mean…” Koenma nodded gravely. “Yes. She has escaped.”

R.A. cliffhanger! I'm evil, aren't I? Anyway, I know it's short, but I PROMISE the next chapter will be longer. I will include OC info and any other vital information I can think of next chapter also
