This starts in the sixth year so it will have spoilers. It will have Yaoi in the later chapters.

Chapter 1: Disturbed Naps

Kurama lay on his bed and sighed. It was summer vacation and he was bored. There were no new missions from Koenma and Yusuke and Kuwabara were in a summer camp. Now Kurama wished he had taken their offer in joining them but he didn't want to leave Shiori alone. She was still recovering and he didn't know if she was going to be sick again, so he stayed.

He closed his eyes and decided to take a nap when he heard a tapping on his window. It must be Hiei. He's the only one who came through his window. He winced when the tapping sounded again.

"It's unlocked, Hiei" he said facing away from the window, "you can open it."

But the tapping continued and he growled.

"Hiei!" he growled shooting on his bed and faced the window. "Are you that ign-"

When he looked at the window instead of seeing his best friend fire demon he saw a brown born owl with a piece of paper clutched in its beak.

"-norant," he finished softly and walked to the window.

He opened it and the owl hopped in and flew to his desk, where it dropped the paper and flew out again. Kurama scratched his head and after the bird. He stared after the bird till he went to his desk and picked up the paper. Picking it up, he nearly dropped it when he read the address.

He opened the envelope and tried to catch his breathe as he read the letter.

"Kurama-kun!"

He jumped and looked at Botan who came through his window on her oar.

"Yes, Botan-chan," he said clutching the letter tight.

"Lord Koenma would like to see you and Hiei. I can't seem to find him. I hoped you can."

"Okay, tell Koenma we're coming. Are Yusuke and Kuwabara coming too?"

"No, just you and Hiei. That's what Koenma said."

"Okay." And the blue haired deity flew out.

Hiei was sleeping in the crook of a weathered tree to enjoy his afternoon nap at Genkai's temple. It was a thankfully quiet for the detective and the baka were gone and he could watch Yukina in peace. He was about to fall asleep when he felt something tug on his scarf. He tried to shoo it away by waving hi hand but it started pulling again. He growled and turned away, somehow keeping his balance. He was going to sleep again when the animal bit his ear!

"OW!" His eyes snapped opened and he looked into wide golden eyes.

"AAH!" Surprised, he slipped from his perch and fell to the ground below. A piece of paper fell on his lap as the bird flew away.

"Damn ningen birds disturbing my sleep," growled the angry fire demon. "What the hell is this?"

He picked up the paper and looked at it suspiousely. Reading the address he nearly dropped it.

Jaganshi Hiei

Growling he tore open the envelope and read the letter.

Dear Mr. Jaganshi,

We are please to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclose list of necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

"What the hell is this?!" he repeated after he read the letter.

"Hiei!"

The fire Koorime looked up as Kurama ran up the stairs that led to the temple. The fox was out of breath and he too clutched a similar piece of parchment in his fist.

"I've . . . been . . . looking for you," he gasped out and fell on his bottom as he caught his breathe.

"Why?"

"It's about the new mission. It has something to do with these weird letters we've received. We have to see Koenma."

"Catch your breathe first, fox, then we'll go."

Kurama smiled at how considerate the fire Koorime was and quickly caught his breathe. They come to Koenma's office a few minutes later. They walked in and stood in front of the large desk as the prince finished reading a paper.

"Good you're here," he said. "I have a new mission for you."

"Does it have anything to do with these damn letters," growled Hiei holding up his.

"Yes, you will go to the school as an infiltration unit."

"What for?"

"A malicious ningen named Tom Riddle, but around the wizarding world he is known as Lord Voldemort, is trying to open a portal to the Makai and bringing into Ningenkai the foulest demons to help him take over. You're job is to find him and stop him from opening that portal."

"Why hasn't he already?" asked Kurama.

"The Ministry of Magic stationed there has erected a very powerful barrier. Voldemort is trying to breakdown a small fraction of it to let in the demons. He must be stopped before he can achieve this."

"We'll dispose of him," said Hiei.

"No, you can't kill him."

"Why not?"

"One is because it's not your destiny to. Someone else will destroy him. Two if you do you'll get your butts kicked back into jail! I don't want to do that to two members of my best Tantei team."

"All right," said Kurama. "Just tell us what to do." `What am I going to tell Kaasan?'
