_______Chapter 3; A different language can cause problems________
Genki stepped back to allow me in. We walked down a long hallway until we reached the last door on the left. "This is where you can stay. I will send someone to wake you up later get some sleep."
I walked into the bare room and saw a bed quickly walking to it I collapsed and was in dreamland before I knew it.
I was awoken by yelling. I sat up only to meet chocolate brown eyes. I jumped backwards, falling off the bed with a muffled scream.
"<Genki, something in Japanese>" The boy said. The only word I understood was Genki's name.
"Huh? OK something to do with Genki?" I asked with hesitation. Now he looked confused. Without another word the grasped my wrist with a goofy smile.
Pointing to his own face, he said, "Yusuke." He let go of my wrist.
Following his lead I pointed to him and said, "Yusuke." then I quickly pointed to my own face and said, "__(first name)__".
If possible his smile grew bigger. He took my wrist again and said, "Genki." and with his left hand made and sign to follow him, not that I had much of a choice. 'This is strange,' I thought, 'So I guess Genki wants to see me.'.
After being dragged down a long hallway, we entered what looked like a living room. In the middle was a Chabudai* surrounded by nine Zabutons*. Yusuke dragged me to one of the cushions and made a sigh to sit.
"<something in Japanese> __(your name)__?" Yusuke asked. I looked from Yusuke to Genki.
"Umm, Genki what is he saying? I only understood my name." I asked.
"He asked why you are here but I can't answer that. Why did you show up on my front porch?"
'Don't tell them about me you can't.' A voice said in my head. "Umm, I was being chased by a huge bat and well I was sort'a scared and saw the light on at you dojo and thought I might be able stay here or at least be able to get directions."
Genki translated everything so Yusuke could understand. Just as Genki finished a young Girl with Light green hair and red eyes walked out carrying a tray of tea. "<something in Japanese>"
"<Something in Japanese>" Genki replied. The girl set down the tray and handed everyone a cup of tea. She smiled when she got to me and said, "<something in Japanese>"
"Huh? Sorry I don't speak Japanese." I replied.
"She said, 'Hi I'm yukina it's nice meet you, what is your name?'" Genki said.
"oh," I looked at Yukina and pointed to my face like I did with Yusuke and said, "__(your name)__" Yukina giggled and smiled. She picked up the tray, bowed to Genki and left.
Genki turned to me, "Now remember how I said you could stay here but you had to do chores?" I nodded, " well there's a broom next to the door please sweep the front steps and not the porch steps either. Oh and two people should be coming over soon a redhead and a shorter one when you see them please come with then to the temple."
"OK Genki I'll keep a watch for them." I got up and left towards the door. I grabbed the broom and kept walking forwards. When I reached I stairs I gasped. "There are so many." I mumbled to myself.
I started to sweep. When I reached about half way I was about to step down when I hit something. I quickly turned around too see a redheaded boy with green eyes and wearing a magenta outfit. behind him stood a shorter boy in all black and red eyes. His eyes looked almost like Yukina's eyes. He had his arms crossed over his chest and was glaring at me. I quickly looked back to the red head. "<something in Japanese?>" The red head asked.
"Sorry dude but I don't speak Japanese. But I am soppiest to fallow you back to the dojo temple thing."
"OK then my name is Kurama and this is Hiei." He said and pointed to the one in the black.
"You speak English?"
"Yes I took it in school as a second language." Kurama said.
"OK I'm __(your name)__, and it is nice to meet you."
We walked back to the temple.
