`That went well,' I thought as I came out through the portal into a forest. `Now I just hope my sister will agree.'
I dashed off through the forest till I came to a small clearing. In the clearing was a tent with a fireplace in front of it, and sitting on a log that was close to the fire was a girl with long flaming red hair and emerald green eyes. As I came into the clearing her red fox ears flicked towards me before she quickly turned around all four of her four red fox tails with white tips moving with her.
“Kitta!” she exclaimed as she put down what she was doing and getting up.
“Sis!” I yelled as I gave her a big bear hug purposely trying to choke her.
“You were only gone a day,” she said after pushing me off.
“I know,” I said with a grin.
“So…,” asked my sister plopping down on the ground as she went back to sowing up a patch on one of her pants.
“Well to start off, Koenma wants us to go to the Ningenkai,” I said.
“What! Why?” she asked as she stopped her sowing to look up at me
“He said something about the stones being in danger here in the Makai,” I replied.
“What about Keo?” she asked.
“He is going to send someone to look for him,” I said.
“Okay last question where are we going to stay?”
“He said something about a house.”
“Well I guess it would be fun to go,” she said getting up and packing the few things that needed packing.
Once done, I opened up the compact that Koenma had given me and opened a portal the way he had shown me. We then both stepped through, ending up in Koenma's office where he was currently stamping papers.
“Uh, Koenma,” I said, not really able to see him because of how high the stack of papers were on his desk.
“What?” he asked sounding a bit annoyed.
“Koenma it's Kitta,” I said.
“Kitta?” he questioned, his head popping up over the pill of papers.
“Where are we going to stay?” I asked.
“Oh yes, Botan will show you,” he said and I could here a beeping sound then he said, “Botan report to my office.”
A few seconds later and the bubbly blue haired fairy girl opened the doors coming in.
“Yes sir,” she asked in her cheerful way.
“Please take these two to one of the vacant rooms,” he said with a wave of his hand as he went back to his paper work.
“I thought you said we would get a house of our own,” I said protesting.
“Yes, but first I have to get done with all the paper work involved in doing that,” he said his eyes going to the pill of papers on his desk.
“Oh,” I said and allowed Botan to lead my sister and me out of Koenma's office.
“So, what are your names, mines Botan,” she said once she had closed the doors to Koenma's office.
“Kitta Keyara,” I said with a smile.
“Re-a Keyara,” said my sister with a grin.
“So, you two are sisters,” she stated.
“No, half sisters,” I said.
“Oh, how?” she asked.
“Well, we have the same dad, but different moms,” I replied.
“Yeah, my mom was an earth Kitsune,” said Re-a.
“And mine was a panther demon,” I said.
“What was your dad?” Botan asked.
“A fire-kitsune,” we both said.
“Oh, well, here we are,” she said as she opened a door.
“Thanks,” I said.
“I'll come get you in the morning and then I'll show you around,” she said waving a good-bye.
The room was fairly small with only two beds, a TV, a dresser, and a small refrigerator. It kind of reminded me of a hotel room done in bark blues and greens.
I flipped the light switch on the wall on and walked over to the bed dropping my stuff on the ground, and sat down on the bed. My sister, doing pretty much the same thing, plopped down on her bed.
“So what do you want to watch?” I asked picking up the remote control.
