Chapter: 5 Who gets what
=================================================
“Kurama, your smart, what are these element stones?” questioned Yusuke.
“I've read a few things about them, but for the main part not much is known about them. From what I know they are suppose to grant the wearer special powers used to control nature; like if you where to get the water stone, you could control water. It is said if you where able to get all of the stones and the Kiso Pendant you could form an ultimate stone with all of the powers of nature,” said Kurama with a shrug.
“Okay and if we are suppose to be watching three of them, where are the other five?” asked Yusuke.
Kurama just shrugged and I rolled my eyes.
We had just gotten done watching the movie and they where now `discussing' it. Koenma had pretty much said the same thing on the tape that he had told me in person, but had not mention anything about me or my family, which I was thankful for.
“Sorry I'm late, I had business to attend to,” said Koenma popping out of nowhere.
“What all this about element stones?” asked Yusuke.
“Where you not paying attention to the tape?” asked Koenma.
“Kinda,” Yusuke said.
Koenma sighed and pulled a small bag out of his robe. He then poured the contents onto a table. Three orbs rolled out, about the size of marbles; one a dark muddy brown, another was completely clear, and the last had a frosty look to it.
“Ground, air, and ice,” said Koenma naming the three stones.
“Cool!” said Kuwabara as he picked up the ice stone before Koenma could stop him. Suddenly his hand was frozen and the stone fell from his fingers.
“My hand!” complained Kuwabara as he held his wrist with his other hand.
“Baka,” I said and grabbed his hand sending heat into it, melting the ice.
“There,” I said and looked up at him to see him blushing slightly, I just rolled my eyes, but couldn't help the light coloring on my check.
“Let me try,” said Yusuke picking up the air stone. A gust of wind formed around him, but nothing else happened as the stone glowed for a second before going dormant.
“Kurama?” questioned Koenma.
“I have a feeling I'd be rejected, ice kills plants, but maybe ground,” he said going to pick up the stone, but stopped and shock his head, “No.”
“Hiei?” Koenma asked.
“Hn,” was his only response as he picked up the same one Kuwabara had. It gave a faint glow then also went dormant.
Both Kurama and Kuwabara stared at the stone before I walked up and using my telepathic powers made it hover about my hand before I turned to the others and said, “It's ground and just in case it does reject them we wouldn't want Genkai's temple to suffer.”
**Outside**
I placed the last stone on an old stump, then stepped back as Kuwabara walked up to the stone. He wore a determined expression as he looked down at the stone. Stepping back, moving over to where everyone else waited at a safe distance while Kuwabara picked up the stone. He cringed for a second, but to everyone's surprise nothing happened.
“Ha!” he exclaimed happily, but jumped to the side in surprise as a rock shot up next to him. As he landed another rock jutted up from under him.
“Ah! Help me!” he yelled as the rock he was on went higher into the air. Other rocks started to come up all around us. One came up right next to Yusuke causing him to jump and when he did he went shooting up into the air. Not use to fly Yusuke barely managed not to run into any trees, but ran through Kuwabara's rock causing Kuwabara to fall.
With a sigh I sent out my powers to Kuwabara, blue light engulfing him, slowing his speed till he looked like he was floating to the ground and Kurama sent out his vines to catch Yusuke.
Both back on the ground and safe, they relaxed.
“Baka! Learn to control you emotions till you learn the stones powers!” I yelled at what could have happened sunk in. I could feel the gentle flames of the stone caressing my skin and I calmed down surprising the flames back into the stone.
“You're one to talk,” Hiei said with a frown.
“Hold on she has a stone?” asked Yusuke. I frowned; they seemed safe enough to tell.
“Yeah, what of it?” I asked.
“Why didn't you tell us before?” Yusuke asked.
“You never asked,” I said with a grin.
“So, did you find the stone or did Koenma give it to you?” asked Yusuke.
“Neither, my family is the protectors of the stone, but over the years some of the stones have gone missing. Some fell into Reikai's hands, but others are still lost.”
“Are there any other stones in your family?” Kurama asked.
“Yes, my sister and brother both have one, but I'm afraid everyone else is dead.”
“What happened to them?” asked Kuwabara.
“There was a disagreement between mom and dad, mom died and I killed dad, long story, don't asked,” I said a slight smile on my face at their stunned expressions.
“You killed your dad?” asked Kuwabara surprised.
“I said don't ask, anyway we need to get you use to your stone so you don't loose control again,” I said changing the subject.
“Humph, I didn't loose control,” Kuwabara mumbled.
“So you where up there on purpose?” asked Hiei sarcastically.
“Shut-up shrimp!” Kuwabara snapped
“Baka,” Hiei sneered.
In reaction to Kuwabara's anger the stone came to life and to everyone's surprise the ground seemed to eat Hiei, inclosing him in a dome of rock. Hiei from inside the cave called on his stone's power and froze Kuwabara then punched a hole in the wall of the cave causing it to cave-in.
“Baka,” was all Hiei said as he jumped into a tree, not even glancing at Kuwabara.
With a sigh I walked up to Kuwabara and, using my stone, I melted the ice.
“Now before you kill someone take that off till you are in training,” I said.
“How are we suppose to train?” asked Yusuke.
“Well, do you know anyone with natural air and ground powers?” I asked.
“There is Jin, but I can't think of anyone with ground powers,” Yusuke answered.
“I could teach him,” Kurama suggested, “Isn't it just mind control?”
“Yeah,” I answered.
“Something Kuwabara's lacking,” Yusuke snickered.
Kuwabara was about to comment when he suddenly calmed down and said, “I'll show you, Urameshi, I'll learn to control my stone before you!”
“Right and pigs and fly,” Yusuke laughed.
Showing amazing control, for him at least, Kuwabara just grinned, “They where a minute ago.”
“Hey!” yelled Yusuke, his own joke being turned on him.
“Anyway, how do we contact this Jin?” I asked.
“Koenma can you contact him for me?” asked Yusuke.
“Sure, Botan go get Jin,” Koenma said earning a glare from Botan, but she did as told and got on her oar, but not before giving Koenma a nice size bruise on his head.
“Okay then it's settled, you boys can train, and us girls will get lunch ready,” I said looking around at the girls.

AN: I thought the chapter was to short and added some more to it. Sorry it's taking so long, I'm also working on a new story called Spirit Magic. So, I'm having to split my time, I'll at least try to produce a chapter a week.
