Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ yet another mission ❯ trapped ( Chapter 1 )

[ P - Pre-Teen ]
Hello again, This is Rieko with yet another story. I know I really should finish my other stories first but I’ve got s many ideas swimming around in this demented head of mine. Well, anyway, just another fan fic with me in it. Please don’t blame me if it’s a little weird, I just read “Brothers in Spirit”, another fic I think all Hiei and Kurama fans, maybe the Yusuke and Kuwabara ones to, should read. Well, on with the story.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

“What the hell!” shouted Yusuke. “Well, what did you expect detective, to just walk in the front door without a fight!” Rieko shouted back to him. Well, incase you were wondering, our favorite heroes are yet again fighting for their lives, no thanks to Koenma. “About time,” shouted Kuwabara, “I needed to blow off some steam!” He gutted three demons and laughed, “See that Shrimp-boy!” “Don’t be an idiot.” Hiei said, coldly glaring at Kuwabara. Kurama noticed that the demons Kuwabara killed were, in fact, fatally wounded by Hiei first. He laughed, turned and beheaded a few demons heading in his direction with his Rose Whip. “Nice.” sounded Tikal, another kitsune who had befriended the Urameshi Team. (if you read any of my other works she shows up in them to.) “Hey! Everyone, DUCK!” shouted Yusuke before he... “SPIRIT GUN!!!” There was a large flash as the Urameshi team hit the durt. The dust cleared and Yusuke was standing with a huge smirk an his face, “Let’s see, that’s about a million points don’t you think?” Everyone laughed. “Wow! Great shot Urameshi!” sounded Kuwabara. “Yes, not bad detective.” Rieko added in agreement. Suddenly there was a large orange flash and a violent, hot wind pinned them to the ground. A few seconds later the team was surrounded by fire rapidly coming towards them. “Damn!” shouted Yusuke, “How did I not see that coming?”
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

The Urameshi team wakes up in an impossibly cold room, which was a drastic change firm the scorching heat they had just encountered. I use the term ‘just encountered’ lightly. They didn’t know how long they had been or how they got there. The door to their cell opened and a grim figure entered. “Please follow me.” he said. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.” said Kuwabara. “Well, we don’t have much of a choice do we.” Yusuke said sarcastically.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

Later in a large dining room... “Excuse me is I don’t see the point in our capture.” Rieko said. A black cloaked figure sat at the end of the table that the Urameshi team was seated at (ok, so they were tied to the chairs, big deal). “Sorry for sounding like an idiot but who the hell are you?” asked Yusuke. The cloaked figure laughed, “You won’t be alive long enough to worry about that.” “Great.” said Yusuke rolling his eyes. “Please enlighten us.” said Kurama. “Why?” asked the figure. “A gracious host doesn’t refuse a question from his guests.” Kurama replied. “Who said you were guests?” the figure laughed. “Ya, more like prisoners.” Kuwabara said, quietly but stupidly. “Take them to their rooms. I’ll be there shortly.” said the figure as the demon guards grabbed the team.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

After being separated, the team were thrown, literally, into three cells. Yusuke and Kuwabara in one, Hiei and Kurama in another and Rieko and Tikal in another. In an hour the figure (I’ll be calling this idiot that from now on, just to let you know) showed up in Hiei and Kurama’s cell. “Hn. What do you want?” Hiei, sort of, asked. “None of your concern. Take him.” the figure pointed to Kurama and three demons walked up. Hiei tried to stop them but, unfortunately, could not. Kurama willingly submitted and left with them. Rieko and Tikal saw them walk by and ran to the door of their cell. Rieko started screaming to them, “No Kurama, don’t! Hey, take me! You hear that, take me!” Tikal grabbed Kurama’s sleeve and held him there. Kurama tried to fight them, gently, off. Rieko was now pleading with the figure, “Please,” she said crying, “Take me instead. Please, just leave them alone and take me.” After knocking him to the ground a few times they sent Kurama back to his cell. Rieko left Tikal alone and went with the demons.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

The room is dark. You can see Rieko chained in the middle of the room bleeding. Her hair has fallen around her face, the string from her ponytail on the floor. Her eyes are shut, not tightly though she does twitch occasionally with pain. She has a long gash in her right arm from her shoulder to her elbow. The back of her shirt is torn and bloody from thousands of cuts. Her face is durty with clean lines cut into it by tears. The figure walks in with a few demons laughing. He walks up to her and hits the chains holding her up, she instantly falls to the ground, unable to keep herself standing. “Now Rieko, it wasn’t that bad.” the figure chuckles, “Get up.” She struggles, “Speak for your self.” and falls back down. “Get up!” a demon shouts kicking her. Rieko, again, tries to stand, however when she accomplishes this she is just knocked to the ground again. The demons start laughing, “Some worrior, she can’t even stand on her own two feet.” The figure walks over and grabs her hair, “Maybe we’ll get a better fight out of the Youki-side.” He produces a small bottle from his pocket. “No.” said Rieko weakly.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

“What the hell are they doing in there?” asked Yusuke. “I’m not quite sure. I still don’t understand why they let Rieko go in my place.” said Kurama through his cell’s bars. “Maybe they don’t care who they take. Maybe they just wanted someone to tourcher.” Tikal said from were she was seated in her cell. Suddenly there was a loud scream from down the hall. “Was that...” Kuwabara starts. “Rieko!” Yusuke shouts. “That was not a human scream.” Hiei said. “You’re right, that wasn’t.” Kurama said. “But it was Rieko.” Tikal added. “What?” Yusuke shouted/asked. “So he did use it then.” said Hiei. “Used what?” exclaimed Yusuke. “Yusuke, remember at the Dark Tournament when I used that Fruit from the Spirit World to change into Yoko?” Kurama asked. “Ya, what does that have to do with it?” Yusuke shouted. “Think about something ten times that fruit’s power.” Hiei explained. Yusuke’s eyes widened, not because of what Hiei said but at what was being dragged their way. Rieko, in Youki from, was thrown back into the cell with Tikal. They almost didn’t recognize her. “Ahhhhhhhh! What happened in there?” Kuwabara shrieked. “Shut up, you idiot.” Rieko shot at him. “Well, at least you’re alive right.” Yusuke mused. Rieko groaned, she was beaten, bloody, and pissed. “Shoot me.” she joked. “Rieko, how long until that potion wears off?” Kurama asked. “I don’t know. About five maybe six hours.” Rieko replied. “Great, so we’re stuck with a killer for six hours.” said Yusuke. “I wouldn’t call myself that detective.” Rieko informed him. “Hn. What would you call yourself then?” Hiei coldly asked. “Just a common thief Hiei, but becareful, I might forget.” Rieko answered giving him one of her ‘I’m going to kill you’ smiles, canines and all. Yusuke and Kurama sweat drop, they knew the Yoko wasn’t kidding.

After about three hours the team went to sleep. Dreaming their usual dreams with Hiei occasionally popping in, since he almost never sleeps.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

About an hour before Rieko was to change back to human form the figure came back to the cell. He looked through the bars, everyone else was awake by now and trying to keep their sanity. He smiled at the sleeping Youki, turned and walked over to Hiei and Kurama’s cell. Kurama stood up, walked to the door and left with the demons, no one bothered to stop him. Tikal waved good-bye as if she would never see him again. The rest of the team were taken to a larger cell in a different section of the building. “I hope he’ll be ok.” said Yusuke lying Rieko down on a bench. “Damn, she’s heavy.”

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

“What’s the matter Kurama?” asked the figure. Kurama just stood there, hands behind his back like he was told. “You’re worried about something, or someone, is that correct?” the figure asked. Kurama said nothing. “Fine.” said the figure, “Have it your way.” With that the figure ran towards Kurama and pummeled him to the ground. After kicking him a few times the figure stepped back, “Get up!” Kurama stood, with much difficulty, and re laced his hands behind his back. The figure repeated the process another five times, one for each team-mate. Kurama again hit the floor, his face bruised, his body cut and bleeding. After a few crewed remarks from other demons and a little more beating Kurama got up and, yet again, laced his hands behind his back. “Having fun Kurama?” the figure asked. “Not exactly.” replied Kurama. The figure laughed, “Why don’t you fight back? Are you afraid, or maybe just to weak?” “I don’t have a reason to.” Kurama said simply. “We’ll see.” the figure said.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

“Damn it!” shouted Yusuke, “Why don’t they just kill us and get it over with?!” Yusuke had been ranting and raving, on and on, about why the hell they were there and what that stupid guy wanted. “I don’t think all your yelling is helping much Yusuke.” Tikal informed him. “So what! It obviously isn’t hurting anything!” he shot back. “Except my ears Urameshi!” Kuwabara screamed at him. “Well, since it couldn’t hurt anything else.” Hiei said coldly. “Hey! Watch it shrimp!” shouted Kuwabara. “Hiei, do you always have to be so negative?” asked Tikal. “At least some one here can tell the truth!” shouted Yusuke. “Idiot, I wasn’t talking to you!” Tikal shouts back at him. The four of them start a huge fight, arguing, cussing, and hitting each other like they were the worst of enemies. Rieko, now back in human form, was quietly leaning against the cell’s door waiting for Kurama’s return when she finally had enough, “SHUT UP!!!!” Every one stopped and stared at the odd wolf. She was squeezing the bars in her hands with her head down, her hair over her eyes. The cell was so quiet you could hear her tiers hit the floor. Rieko again spoke, quieter this time, “What the hell is the matter with all of you? Shouldn’t we be trying to find a way out of here instead of tearing each other’s heads off? We’re a team, ... a family.” “Who cares! We’re never getting out of here and that guy’s just gonna kill us and...” Yusuke shouts. “SHUT UP!!!!” Rieko screams turning to the detective with a raised fist. She ran at him and barley missed his head, slamming her fist into the wall. Yusuke sweatdroped. Rieko walked over to a corner and sat down, cross-legged, on the floor. After glaring at every one and seeing the blood stain where she punched the wall she returned her gaze to the ground seeing her hand red and bloody but not felling it. “Damn, temper.” said Tikal.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

“It looks like we should put them out of their misery.” said the figure looking at a large TV screen. Kurama was lying on the floor behind him. The figure looked over at him and smirked, “Yes, we should.” A small squadron of demons walked in and grabbed Kurama. The figure lead them out and back down the hall to Team Urameshi’s cell.
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- *-*-*-*-*

“Hey, guys, guess who’s headed our way.” Kuwabara said sarcastically. “All right, get ready!” shouted Yusuke, he looked around at his friends. His eyes fell on Rieko, still in her corner, eyes fixed on a single blood stain on the ground. Yusuke walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder, “Hey, are you ok? Rieko?” “I know.” she said simply, rising and preparing for a fight.
