She couldn't believe it. How could this have happen ? Viora woke up and scanned the room. She was back in here room. Yomi must have come in the middle of the night and brought her back to her room. Viora looked across from her and saw Yomi sitting in a chair watching her. She felt scared. Yomi was watching her like a viper stalking its prey. She felt like a mouse trapped with a vicious Viper ready to attack her at any minute. " I know you're awake. You can get up now " Yomi said. Viora sat up and rubbed her eyes. The covers slid off her and revealed her upper body. Viora quickly pulled up the cover and blushed. She never looked Yomi in the face. She only looked down praying that he'd leave the room and give her privacy. " Move the cover. I want to see you " Yomi said. Viora held the cover closer to her a shook her head. She knew that Yomi was going to hit her. He got out of the chair and walked towards the bed. Viora tried to take the cover with her as she crawled away but Yomi grasped it and tugged it towards him. He manage to get the cover off her body and bed. Viora always looked beautiful naked. Her body was perfect and her face was beautiful. Yomi kissed Viora on the lips vigorously and pulled her closer to his body. Viora didn't struggle. She relaxed nervously and wrapped her arms around Yomi. Viora arrived downstairs at the dining hall and looked around. The servants were moving and rearranging the room. " Good morning Lady Viora " A servant said. " Hello, what's going on here ?" Viora asked. " Lord Yomi has ordered that the room be decorated approciately for a banquet " The servant answered. " Lady Viora !" Ame came running to her with a tray of rice balls. " Good morning Ame. What are you getting ready for ?" Viora asked. " Well, tonight Prince Koenma is coming and he's bringing the Reikai Tanteis. My beloved Yoko is one of them " Ame said. " What's his name Ame ?" Viora asked. " The infamous Yoko Kurama. I'm lucky to have a youkai like that don't you think ?" Ame asked. " I don't know what he's like. Does he visit you often ?" Viora asked. " No but he does send gifts. The last one was absolutely gorgeous. It was a crystal blue rose " Ame said. " Really ? How incredible. Things like that don't grow back at home " Viora said. " Yes, it was kind of him to bring me this. I love him so much " Ame said. " And he feels the same for you ?" Viora asked. " Of course Viora. He finds me very attractive " Ame said. " Wow, I hope you'll have a good time together. I plan on staying by Yomi's side and meeting some of the other Makai lords. Who are the others ?" Viora asked. " Lord Raizen and Lady Mukuro. Prince Koenma will be coming as well " Ame said. " Prince Koenma ? The son of King Yama ? I thought those were just myths and that Reikai doesn't exist " Viora said. " Its does exist Viora. Its just that no living person goes to the Reikai. Except for the Reikai Tanteis. They're acceptable " Ame said. " Who are they Reikai Tanteis ?" Viora asked. " They're four boys that track down stray youkais and bring them back to the Reikai. Sometimes the youkai loses their lives. I think its ridiculous for a youkai to slip into the ningenkai and try to take it over. I don't know what they think " Ame said. " I look forward to meeting them " Viora said. " Hey, we're going to have a good time tonight Viora " Ame said. Just as they were about to head back to Viora's room Yomi called Viora. " Go to my room and wait for me " Viora said. " Yes my lady " Ame said. She bowed to Viora and walked towards Viora's room. Viora watched Ame leave then took a deep breath. ::: What now ? :::

Yomi led her outside then looked at the lake outisde. It was huge and gorgeous. Their were youkais bringing in different sorts of seafood for the party that night. " I hope you'll be dressed for the occassion tonight Viora " Yomi said. " Yes Yomi. I'll be ready. I hope to be by your side and greet the guests " Viora said. " You will " Yomi said. They were quiet. Viora didn't have anything to say. She stood there silently and watched the servants fish. " Lets go a little closer to the lake " Viora suggested. She and Yomi started to walk towards a huge tree that stood beside the lake. While walking Viora didn't watching her footing and tripped over a tree stump. Yomi turned around and caught her in his arms. Viora looked up and blushed. " You should watch where you step Viora " Yomi said. He picked her up and walked to the tree and sat down. Viora, now sitting on Yomi's lap, was blushing furiously. She didn't know what to do and couldn't find words to say. Instead she rested her head on Yomi's chest. She listened to his heartbeat and snuggled closer to him. Yomi looked down at her and soothed Viora's blue hair. It had a lovely smell of blueberries and was soft and silky. Yomi could never keep his hair like that. He only combed it to keep it from getting tangle and never tied it up. " Viora.... " Yomi called. " Hm ? Yes Yomi ?" Viora asked. She looked up at him and gave him a smile. Her green eyes twinkling at him. Yomi tilted his head down and his lips met hers. His hand on her head tilting it back. Viora kissed him back and caressed his face. Yomi stopped kissing her and breathed hard. Viora looked at Yomi and tried to catch her own breath. " You didn't resist " Yomi said. " I know. I liked it " Viora said. Viora stood up and untied her long blue hair. The wind blew through her hair and sent a cool breeze passing by the area. Viora remember a day like this at the beach with her friends. She would watch them compete in a sandcastle competition or collect seashells while the wind blew through her hair. Yomi sat behind her and watched as she stood there silently. ::: She looks so perfect, so pure now. Its like I can see a young side to her instead of a girl I'm going to marry. Why do I feel as if I feel something more for her ::: " Yomi, are you ok ?" Viora asked. " Yes " Yomi answered. " Yomi, have you ever stood here and just wish that time would stand still ?" Viora asked. " I have all the time in the Makai. I don't need it to stand still for me " Yomi said. " Oh " Viora said. " Viora, tonight I'll announce our engagement. There will be millions of youkais there " Yomi said. " Yes, I'm prepared to say yes tonight " Viora said. Her tone was sad. Yomi knew that she didn't want to marry him. Part of him said " Fuck it, you're my woman now " and the other half wanted her to make her own decisions. Could it be that Yomi was falling in love with Viora ? No, he couldn't be. He never loved in his whole life. Why start now ? Viora turned to leave Yomi and looked back at him. " I'm going to be with Shura for a while " Viora said. " Fine " Yomi replied. Viora walked over to Yomi and put a hand on his shoulder. " I look forward to tonight Yomi, we'll be really engaged " Viora said. " Yes, I'll truly be your fiancee " Yomi said. " Of course, I'll do my best to look presentable " Viora said. She moved her hand and walked towards the castle. Yomi's heart felt as if it was being to sink. Something about Viora's tone made him want to cry.

Time past and the engagement party was starting. Viora had helped Shura dress and dressed herself. " I can't wait mommy. After tonight, you and daddy will be engaged for real " Shura said. " Yes Shura, I'm prepared Shura " Viora said. " Yeah I'm so excited. You and Father will be the most popular couple in all the Makai " Shura said. " Yes we will. Go have fun Shura and remember what I said about having manners " Viora reminded. " Yes mother. I won't forget " Shura said. He ran out the room and down the hall. Viora sat in the seat and looked in the mirror. ::: This is it Viora. Tonight you will legally engaged to Yomi. He'll possess your life. You'll no long have freedom or a voice. The two walked to the ballroom and were stared at by every youkai in the room. " Shura ! Remember what I told you " Viora said. " Yes mommy. Ladies and gentlemen ! Lady Viora with her best friend Ame " Shura announced. Viora and Ame walked down the steps and were greeted by various youkais. " Welcome to the Makai Lady Viora. Congradulations to you and lord Yomi " Mukuro said. " Thank you Lady Mukuro. Lord Yomi and I will be the happiest couple in the Makai " Viora said. " Yes, I wish both of you the best of luck " Mukuro said. " Thanks again Mukuro. Is Lord Raizen here ?" Viora asked. " Yes he's over there talking to the Reikai Tanteis " Mukuro pointed out. " Thank you " Viora said. Viora walked over to Raizen and was about to tap his shoulder until she was pulled away. " Hey ! Who are you ? Let go of my arm or I'll " " Hush Viora Narita. I'm taking you home " The silver fox said. " How do you know my name ?" Viora asked. " I'm Shuiichi " Kurama said. " Ahhhhh !!!!! You're !" Kurama covered Viora's mouth and took her outside. Once outside Kurama let go of Viora. " Shuiichi Minamino ! How did you " " I'm one of the Reikai Tanteis. Its a long story. What really matters is that I get you back home to your mother. The police, FBI private investigators are all looking for you. Andy's been put in jail " Kurama said. " What ? Why ?" Viora asked. " They believe he has something to do with you being kidnapped " Kurama said. " Oh no, poor Andy " Viora said. " We have to get you home " Kurama said. " No, I can't go home now. Please, just a little longer " Viora begged. " What ? Are you serious ? Viora, you've got to get out of here now " Kurama said. " Please Shuiichi try to understand. I agreed with myself that I'd let Yomi have me. When that happened things changed and now..... I think I'm in love with him " Viora said. " Viora " " I know its strange but I do. I want to stay here with Yomi and Shura. We'll be happy together " Viora said. " What about your mother ?" Kurama asked. " I'll ask for permission to travel back and forth to see her. I miss her terribly and I want her to know I'm ok " Viora said. " I want you to think it over. I'll leave you here " Kurama said. Viora watched as Kurama walked inside and sat alone.

After twenty minutes of being, Viora's privacy was invaded by Yomi. He walked to her and sat beside her. " Viora, come inside. I'm going to make my announcement " Yomi said. " Yomi, I know this is kinda stupid but. Will you dance with me ? Please ?" Viora asked. Yomi blushed and held out his hand. Viora accepted his and and walked into his arms. The two swayed to music coming from inside. " Viora, I never danced with anyone before " Yomi whispered. " I'm happy to be your first. Yomi you're an excellent dancer " Viora said. " Thank you " Yomi said. Viora smiled and snuggled closer to him. " Are you cold ?" Yomi asked. " No, I just want to be closer to you. Just think, after we're married we'll be close to each other everynight just like this " Viora said. " Viora, theres something I have to say " Yomi said. " Yes theres something I want to say too " Viora said. " Viora these past few days I treated you like ningen trash. I didn't know you then but I know you now. You're compassionate, tenderhearted and very intelligent. You'll make Shura a perfect mother " Yomi said. " Thank you Yomi. I know Shura will be happy with me and I know I'll be happy with you " Viora said. " Come Viora, I have to make the announcement " Yomi said. He led Viora inside and stood on the stairs. " If I may have your attention everyone. I have an announcement to make. In these past few days I have treated Viora as if she were my wife. But little by little I began to see what she realy was. A ningen with a pure heart. Her purity has touched my heart in ways not even youkais could understand. Which brings me to my point. I am calling off our wedding " Yomi said. The youkai broke out into immediate whispers. Viora, shocked and wide-eyed, stared at Yomi. She couldn't believe what he had said. Yomi walked over to Viora and looked into her eyes. " I can't marry you Viora. I know this is what you really wanted. You don't have to pretend. Go to your room and prepare yourself. Ame and Myoko will escort you home back home " Yomi said. Viora shook her head and pushed past Yomi. " Everyone ! I have something I have to say as well. Please cease your conversations and listen to me " Viora said. Everyone looked at her and were silent. Viora took a deep breathe and sighed. " This too is a big shock for me. I was prepared to give my all to Lord Yomi. Yes when I first arrived here he treated me like I was his property. Yes I hated him for that. But I knew that it was always going to be this way for me because I'm only human. But when I agreed to give myself to Yomi I noticed something that would change my vision on Yomi. I love Yomi with all my heart. He would never understand that. But, I want to teach him how to love so we can have a family. But now that Yomi has called off our wedding I have no choice but to agree with him. I'll never love another demon like him. Lord Yomi, Shura, I love you both with all my soul. But now, I must bid you farewell. I was a rare pleasure to be here with you. Everyone, I'm sorry for the disappointment " Viora said. She whiped the tears away from her face and walked past Yomi. " Father, what have you done ?" Shura asked. " You'll never understand " Yomi said.

In her room Viora readied herself to go back to the Ningenkai. She took clothes that she wanted most and jewelry she would miss. She looked at her room and walked to the front of the castle. Myoko and Ame waited for her. " I haven't seen Yomi or Shura. I wanted to personally say good-bye to them. Hm, I guess Yomi understood that having a weak ningen girl around. Its not meant to be. Did you think your feelings could change the heart of a youkai ?" Myoko asked. Viora ignored her and fought back tears. Ame opened a portal to the ningenkai and held her hand out. " Its time to go Viora " Ame said. Viora took a look at the castle and walked into the portal with Ame. Myoko grinned and walked back to the castle. " I never liked the bitch anyway. She can rot in hell with her ningen feelings. To think Yomi would love someone as useless as her. She doesn't understand. No ningen will understand. Ningens and youkais aren't meant to be " Myoko said.
