Yu Yu Hakusho: Silver Fox Saga!
Chapter One: Yoko's Old Friend!
I woke up from my strange dream. I sat up in my bed and looked out the window. The sky was clear with the moon shining brightly as well as the stars. The moon's light shone through my window on to my moon crystal necklace sitting on my dresser. It was two crystals really. A pink crystal and a silver-white crystal hung from a fine pure gold-silver chain. It was given to me by an old friend of mine. A pink eyed pink fox demon. She was called Kikiteno. She used to be part of a group of bandits and thieves in Makai. Kikiteno gave me the crystals to remember her by before I sneaked into the human world to be reincarnated.
She was the only girl that actually loved me. When I was finally able to get to Yomi's castle after the dark tournament, Yomi said that she died after waiting for me for 15 years. She was the only person that I hold dearest to my heart and now, I fell guilty. Guilty of making her wait even when I promised to return to her. I got up off my bed in my white pajamas and went out of the room to the kitchen to get glass of water. What a sad dream...I miss her dearly now. She was close to me. Real close. Even more closer then I was with Kuronue.
The dream is what happened to us a long time ago. It was of her....

Past....

Yoko Kurama and a young Kikiteno escaped from their latest enemy's lair. Their latest enemy, Keiji. Keiji was a ice demon, one of Yoko's main enemies. Kikiteno loved Yoko dearly and she would follow him anywhere, knowing that he'll protect her. She was the newest member of his gang of demon thieves. The youngest too.
"Yoko, We did it!" The little girl cheered happily jumping into the soft snow and throwing it at him.
The silver fox smiled at his little companion and took the treasures out of his bag. Two moon crystals.....The ones that were stolen from Kikiteno.
"Yes, we really did...Little one.." He answered, holding the moon crystals in his palm.were cold to the touch and they shone brightly in the darkness even without any light.
"Now, why are these important to you?" He asked, tossing the two stones to her.
Kikiteno caught them, "Well...I had these my whole life. I guess these were my mom's...."
"Come on. It's time for us to go back to the camping area." Yoko said.nodded. The two ran off in the snowy weather towards their campsite where Kuronue was waiting for them.
"So, did you get it?" He asked impatiently.
"Yea. We got the Moon Crystals." Kikiteno took out the pink and silver-white crystals out of her pocket.
Kuronue took them from her, "Good. Now we can sell them for some money."
"What! No! They're mine!" Kikiteno yelled, trying to grab them away from him as he held them up high out of her reach.
"Listen, little brat. These stones are worth more riches then any of the lords of Makai could ever have. You don't don't know how rare these beautiful stones are." Kuronue pushed her away. felt a rage of anger build up inside of her as she looked up into his eyes. She got up and tackled him.
"Give them back! They're mine, you can't sell them!" The young kitsune punched Kuronue's nose and his face.
"Kikiteno!" Yoko pulled the mad little kitsune off his companion as Kuronue pushed her off.other bandits gasped as Kuronue got up. Kuronue got up and felt the blood drip from his mouth.
He glared at the little girl, " You little brat. You will be killed for what you've done to me!" Kuronue growled, "I will make sure that your precious stones are sold."
"No!" Kikiteno cried out. ran over to the kitsune with his dagger out, ready to slit her throat when Yoko's rosewhip hit his hand, knocking the dagger out of his grip. Kuronue glared at the silver fox.
"What do you think you're doing? Why are you protecting this little brat after what she's done to me?"
"Because you took what's hers and she didn't agree to the idea and plus you deserved it. Now give those stones back to her." Yoko answered with an evil glare.
"Fine." Kuronue handed the stones to her.was about to reach for the stones when Kuronue threw them in the river.
"No! My crystals!" She yelled.
"Go and get them." Kuronue yelled as the two crystals landed in the rushing river.ran over to the river, about to jump into the river when Yoko grabbed her arm. Kikiteno looked into his now soft eyes.
"Don't jump. I'll go." He answered.watched as Kikiteno ignored the silver fox and jumped into the freezing water. The little pink fox demon couldn't fight the strong force that pushed her away from the Moon Crystals. Kikteno was also pushed down into the water as she struggled to stay above and to get the crystals. Yoko watched as Kikiteno got knocked out by a strong wave. Kikiteno couldn't stay above anymore and she felt all of her strength draining from her body as she struggled to fight the waves to stay above the water and to reach the crystals. Yoko jumped into the water and swam over towards Kikiteno. He overcame the waves and grabbed a hold of her. With Kikiteno in one arm, he swam towards the crystals and grabbed them. He put the crystals into his mouth and gritted his teeth as he swam to shore.
The silver fox reached the shore and dragged Kikiteno on to land. He put the two crystals into his pocket.
"Kikiteno. Are you ok? Little one!" Yoko put his ear to her and he couldn't hear a heartbeat or breathing.silver fox opened her mouth and did CPR and the pushed her stomach a few times. He stopped and listened her. He still didn't hear a thing and he continued to do it until Kikiteno coughed. Kikiteno sat up and shivered.
"Yoko! My-
"Don't worry. I have them with me." Yoko answered, "Are you ok?"stood up shivering and nodded. Yoko put a cloak around her and put his arm around her as he walked to the fire.
"I'm goin." Kuronue ran off mad.fell asleep, still shivering. Later on that night, Yoko woke up, sensing that something was wrong with her. He got up and walked to her. He sat down next her and layed down next to her to keep her warm with body heat.

Reality
*That's right. She jumped into the river to retrieve these crystals....* I walked back up to my room. fingered the crystals lightly and picked them up. I handled the stones gently. They're mine. I'm protecting these with my life and my heart. They remind me of her. My beloved Kikiteno. I put the crystals back into the drawer of my bedside table gently and climbed back into my bed.
