Five: A Mission and The Birthday Party!

I woke up the next day and walked downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. When I entered the kitchen. I found Hiei sitting at the kitchen table with my mother talking to him. The short fire demon wasn't responding but then again, he never talks.

"Hiei, what are you doing here?" I asked in surprise.

"I came here to tell you something, but your mother here, stopped me and told me to have breakfast." He answered.

Mother put a gentle hand on Hiei's shoulder, "I'm afraid I did, Shuichi. Maybe you should invite him to your birthday party."

"Birthday party?" Hiei looked at me.

"Uhhh... A birthday party celebrates the day when I get a year older. It's only held once a year like Easter, Christmas, and the other holidays." I answered, "Mother, can me and Hiei be excused, to talk together alone?"

"Sure, but first promise to invite him to your birthday party." My mom smiled.

"I will." I said, pulling Hiei upstairs to my room.

We got up there and I sat down on the bed.

"What did you want to tell me, Hiei?" I asked looking at my friend with my green emerald eyes.

Hiei's red eyes met mine.

"I just wanted to tell you that the fool, Koenma, has a mission for the 4 of us." He answered, coldly.

"What's the mission?"

"I'm not sure. You'll have to ask Yusuke." Hiei jumped out of my window and disappeared in a black blur.

*I guess I'll have to ask Yusuke.* I thought, looking out the window at the street and people below.

Lupin Girl: Is this short? Oh well. This is all I can do for now until I can come up with an idea for Kurama's birthday party. I hope you guys have enjoyed this. I had to rewrite this too.
