For the record, I don't support the portrayal of Matsumoto here, but I could see how she might be interpreted this way. In my opinion, she's not nearly as blind, dependant or obtuse as this story makes her out. However, I did want to try writing something very different from my own viewpoint and I think I did a good job here.
