It was a sunny day.Matt was gazing down the aisle waiting for Sora [his bride].He then scanned the row full of his friends.There was Tai whispering something to Izzy.Joe was sitting between TK and Hikari.Beside them were Yolei,Ken,Cody and Davis.Matt kept scanning the row again and again waiting to see a sign of pink but it never came.Feeling a bit down he looked at Sora who was looking very pretty in a white dress and was walking shyly up the aisle to stand beside Matt who for a second forgot what was happening and looked at her in surprise.
Down in the audience Davis whispered to Tai
“Matt looks like he’s forgotten his wedding” [both snigger loudly and get a punch in the ribs by Izzy]
As the priest started droning on and on about the whole process, Matt could not help looking again and again at the doors.Finally the priest said:If anyone here has any objection at why this couple should not be united let him speak now or forever hold his plea”.The doors banged open .Standing in the door way was a young woman dressed in a navy blue dress with a slit up her right leg and which clashed perfectly with her pink hair.
She walked gracefully down the aisle and stared at the couple with her brown eyes.Tears filled her eyes and she said in a choked whisper “May you be happy together”. She turned to leave but stopped when she heard someone shout “Mimi wait!”
Matt jumped off the stage and ran towards her “Please don’t leave me Mimi”
“What are you saying Matt?”Mimi asked
“I’m asking you not to leave”
“But I’m not leaving I will still be your friend” She replied tears now streaming down her cheeks.
Matt took her hands in his and said “I want us to be more then just friends”
“Its too late for that now Matt” she said gazing deep into his tear filled navy blue eyes.
“It’s never too late Mimi”
“But…”she looks over his shoulder at a bewildered Sora “What about Sora?”
“I’m sure Tai still loves her and would marry her” said Matt not taking his eyes off Mimis face.
“Of course!” Tai yelled and ran towards Sora and taking her hands in his.
“See” said Matt “They are together and so can we”
“Oh,Matt”said Mimi giving into her tears and started to cry on his shoulder.
“Errrrrrrr…ahem”said the Priest “Is anyone going to get married here or not I have to go for a manicure you know”
1st august 2005 was the day two hearts sorry make that four hearts were united. The hearts of Tai and Sora and Matt and Mimi.
