This story is a variation of my old "Illusions" storyline based more on the "Neo" version of Shawn Hagen's "No Armour Against Fate" fanfic series. It's set in the days immediately after "Red Eyes."
Dying in Priss' arms after being struck down by Largo, the 33-S known as Anri awakens two days later in the Megatokyo Spiral, a cloaked tower which physically represents one of the biggest secrets lurking in the shadows of Earth's largest city. Here, she meets Hirosaki Chikage and Kasuga Ayumu, two young magi who proceed to give Anri (herself now living in a new cyber-bioroid body worlds superior to her old boomer body) some harsh lessons about the society she, Sylvie and their friends from Genaros literally sacrificed their lives to become a part of.
Along the way, Priss' own grief and anguish at the loss of the first boomers she could ever truly call friends comes back to haunt Anri anew.
But how is the Spiral's newest magi going to help the blue Knight Sabre overcome her grief while still remaining "dead" to her?
