In this portion of the Novel, Terra is introduced to the Teen Titans. A relationship begins to develop between the new arrival and the Sorceress of Azarath. With the betrayal of the Earth Elemental, however, Raven finds it hard to cope with reality. Her emotions begin to flow out of control, and only her closest friend has the ability to come to her aid.
