Overall, a good story. As unlikely as this pairing would be in the actual series, the author does a very good job of making the characters her own by adding the romantic flair that makes this piece quite enjoyable. It is a side to Motoko and Batou that many fans would like to see. Thier human side. The author did a paticularly excellent job in animating the character of Batou's basset hound, Gabriel. Gabriel's or Gabu's personality easily shone through the author's descriptive techniques. I could "see" the character clearly in my mind. Again, very good story. I give it a 9 overall.
