Great job, and wonderful start to a story. As for your choice of pairing, it will be interesting to see what you have chosen. While there are tons of Hiei/Kagome stories out there, and they are good, Kurama/Kagome pairings are a lot less frequent and many of those are hardly ever finished. It would be nice if this was a Kurama/Kagome pairing, but from the sounds of things in your notes, you have already made your choice, and I look forward to seeing what you have chosen.

At the bottom of Chapter One, you indicate that it is the end of the Prologue, and Chapter One. At the beginning of the next chapter, you cite Chapter Three, and then on your most recent update, you start with Chapter Four. Is Chapter Two missing?
