ANother enjoyable chapter. While I don't necessarily enjoy reading about the abuse that Inuyasha's father is heaping upon him, I also feel that it has a good point in this chapter. It shows, especially in this chapter, the extent of his father's distain for him and for himself. I like that Inu got a backbone, even if he got beaten worse for it. That shows the wonderful effect that Kagome has on him. When I started reading this chapter I thought that Inu might be asking Kagome if he could come live with her, I didn't think that she would be the one doing the asking. (although reading it, it seems obvious) The rememberance of Izayoi's death was a little shocking. I was rather sad that he had to live through that again. The fluff in this chapter was wonderful. When Kagome cleaned his back and held his face I just wanted to squee like a fangirl. Thanks for writing for us. I have really enjoyed this story a lot.

I love the fluff in this chapter. Inu's tripping over himself was just so wonderful. After some of the bad stuff that has been happening to him (dad, Sess, etc) it is time that he had a moment or two of fluff and fun. I like that you have allowed Inu to get some positive feedback about his artwork. I was worried, after Sess didn't get his piece and Inu tore it up, that he wouldn't really paint the same way again. Thanks for writing for us!

lol i did it again, i read this chapter at like 3:30 am and Im so effin tired. But I just had to tell you how much I loved this chapter. How pissed off I am at Taisho. How totally elated that Kagome finally breached the topic of Inu living with her. I hope he says yes. I hope hope hope he does. This was an awesome chapter, please update soon. :)

i don't think the violence was overdone in this chapter. there was just enough to show motivational factors for the character. i love the way you have given us glimpses of both the physical and mental pain that molded the character, without going overboard. even though the centering force in his personality has been violence, you have managed to explore it while still keeping the story gentle. thank you for a wonderful chapter, and if i could, i would give you a cookie.

AWESOME chapter. The really sweet, fluffy Inu/Kag scene was a nice counterpoint to the violent abuse scene. Two very different kinds of conficts. I can't say enough about how much I like this story. Eagerly awaiting the next chapter!

thank you for your warning and reassurances. . . there is a point at which the victim stands up to the abuser and it could escalate but rarely it temporarily gets better(nothing good in an abusive relationship usually lasts especially when chemical mind/mood altering substances are involved and i speak from experience); but yasha gave him something to think about. . . a bit of comfort... higarashi-san should at least find the shirt if she doesn't see the wounds(i don't mean to tell you what to write, you are doing wonderfully on your own). . .35 years ago when my sister married her husband(he's black she was white) attitudes in the u.s. were quite against it, times have changed and attitudes of the majority have changed, here in the north nobody takes a second glance... it's been maybe seven or eight years since the mob took out his mother maybe attitudes have mellowed to a little less violent, because it is after all a shrine, people will/should see them taking yash in a bit differently. . . it was a very emotionally moving chapter and i don't care how long you write them as long as you write them. ~ thank you, ginny

'I can't go anywhere else because I need you!' Oh that was so cute!!! Poor guy! Every chapter has me in tears, I swear! This makes me so emotional! WAAA!! Finally he's defending himself. I wish he would hit the old man hard across the face! Bastard! Bet he'd make a really creepy painting to show how he was treated all those years. I want him to move in with Kagome, I really do, but i'm scared that something horrible would happen like it did for his mom! But if he stays at home...GAAAAH!!! MY brain is starting to bleed! I'm so suckered up into the story that i'm making my own fanfictions for this story in my mind! I was so happy to see this new chapter and I rushed to finish it to get the first review only to realize that I was beated, what a bummer. I really hope things turn out okay with Inuyasha and I hope Kagome takes "good care of him" because he needs a loving family and he needs to hit his father and brother hard in the ego and hurt them emotionally! I can just picture him standing in front of his father yelling, "I don't give a fuck anymore old man! You were never my father, you were just my damn biological relation. I'd rather die than live in this fucking house with you! You should've been the one to drop dead, not her!" God, I feel horrible for offering these suggestions. It's not my story but I cant' help pictureing what will happen in the future! I hope I'm not turning you off, I'm just saying what I think. Sorry and Please update soon!

Please excuse LadyCash while she goes and says some things quite unlady-like. And throws some things, and....... Well. Okay now. Very intense chapter, from one end of the spectrum to the other. You really know how to pull the highs and lows, and get away with it! Me likey. So, what will IY do? Will he ever come into his own? Put his father in his place, or just move on from all this? If the rest of the ride is anything like this, I can't wait!
