Poor Kagome, it seems that fate doesn't think she has suffered enough yet. Wonder if there's nobody out there that is on her side, against Koenma and his spirit detectives, along with Naraku. It seems that Koenma is so concern about the 3 worlds and keep saying that Kagome is the key. That he doesn't seem to care how he goes about it as long as he gets the jewel. Because of their actions, they risked 3 worlds, especially if something did happen to Kagome. It almost would serve them right. Wonder how long it would take before the guys figured out that Naraku seem to know so much. If there's a spy, who it is. The other thing they should be concerned about is, if Kagome will trust them ever again. Hiei, Kurama, Yusuke, Kuwabara, Koenma and whoever else needs major torture from Sesshoamru for what they have done to Kagome. Please update ASAP

It was great! Lots of gut-wrenching angst with Yusuke and Kuwabara turning their backs on her and letting Hiei and Kurama torure her. (Of course, I've never thought of choking someone as torture before.) When they find out she really ISN'T working with Naraku, and it should be pretty darn obvious now, there should be some serious fallout. I'm not exactly sure why they would think she told Naraku their plans. Why WOULD she? And if she held out against THEM, then they should know she would hold out against him, too. She told them he had tortured her. And she obviously didn't give him the jewel. And the detectives all know that things have been taken from the Reikai before. LOL!! Seems like it's safest with her. Now, I understood Kagome's talk about how threatening her family wouldn't work because she's sacrificed family before. But her thoughts that she could KILL her mother lost me a bit. I'm assuming she was still meaning she was willing to let her die, -- NOT that SHE could kill her. Her thoughts about understanding Kikyou were interesting. As was the tidbit that Kikyou may still be wandering around. Let me back up a bit now to discuss Hiei choking her. Her point that he and Kurama were willing to go to such lengths for it really do prove the dangerous nature and lure of the jewel. Not to mention her own flesh and blood was willing to let it happen to her for it. Oh, there's going to have to be consequences for what they all did. Just musing a bit more about the jewel. If the jewel is not a part of Kagome or on her person, it would not be reincarnated into a new protector when she died. The jewel was out of the hands of a protector for 5oo years after Midoriko before it came into Kikyou's hands, being passed around and fought for and won from person to person and youkai to youkai. If it's hidden somewhere, her death will have no effect on it. It's only if it's merged with her or if she has it in her possession and wishes on it when she dies that it may pass to another protector. (Kikyou wished that it would go with her to the afterlife instead of being left there to be fought over.) I am incredibly curious to see what the situation is! Oh! Why did Naraku waste time there in the human realm trying to get her to tell him instead of taking her into the Makai where he could work her at his leisure without interference? I have to say, I'd love it if he snatches her unconscious body up before disappearing, -- it would serve the detectives right to have delivered her to him. And I can't wait to see what the fallout of Hiei's actions is going to be for HIM. I loved this chapter and hated it. I loved it because it was so good and chock full of action and shocking events. I hated it because it's going to be so hard to wait for the next one. ^_^ Bring it on!!!

Chapter 14 was really good! I liked the way you interspersed the flashbacks with what was going on in the present. I've got some questions, as usual. ^_^ They snuck into Naraku's fortress and stole his shards without fighting him? Are you saying he kept them somewhere other than on his person? Why would he do that? They fuel his power. I mean, you said it was his own arrogance that allowed them to to do it, but that's not arrogance, -- that's crazy! ^_^ I liked you mentioning that he had already started taking over the lords to gain more power. So, do we get to see how he killed Miroku next time? And did he absorb Kirara? It was interesting that Naraku waited until Inuyasha was human again to absorb him. He nearly absorbed Sesshoumaru and he's a full taiyoukai. Hiei asserted that Inuyasha had to be dead, but how could that be if Kagome saw him in Naraku? And Naraku has "let out" demons before: Musou comes to mind, along with his many "detachments." Why isn't it possible that he could let Inuyasha out? I LOVED Kagome's answer to Yusuke!!! "He was my Keiko, Yusuke." THAT was utterly brilliant. I am wondering if I missed something or if I just forgot something, but I was surprized when Kurama said, "You don't seem strong enough to protect it anymore, what with your nonexistent miko powers?" How does he know that? Heh heh! I had to giggle just a little over everyone, including Kuwabara, talking about her being so foolish and a traitor to choose the dead over the living. THEY, of all people, should know that dead isn't always dead. LOL!! This was a really wonderful chapter. You've got EVERYBODY against her now, -- even her own cousin. They're not going to let her in on their plans and they're going to try to take the jewel from her. I'd hand that girl a razor myself to let her finish up what she started in chapter 1 at this point. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next!!! Now that the secrets of the past are out, we'll have to see what happens here in the present. OH! I don't want to forget to mention how awesome the comparison of Naraku's absorbtion of youkai to Kikyou's "eating" of souls was!!! Loved it!! Good writing!!

Dude the yu yu gang are being bastards! How can they all just gang up on poor physically and mentally stressed Kags. Yusuke you should be ashamed as well. Inuyasha could still be alive inside Naraku, seeing as how Onigumi was still existant inside Naraku. I hope Kagome finds more selfconfidence and gains her powers back. I think now would be a perfect time for Midoriko to come and help Kags cause she really needs it. =^_^= And besides they Shikon no Tama is meant for Kagome and Kagome alone. So take that yu yu gang and shove it! XD lol. Update soon cliffy master!

Damn it no Kagome why did you do that you friken know about Narakus ability to change form and you friken saw him do it right in front of you friken eyes what the heck is wrong with you..........I sooooooooooooo mad at Kagome right now gaaaaaa....You love to do that don't you torture you reader with a cliff hanger like that, so angry.........................I don't know what else to say really, the chapter was written well and death defining cliff hangers are what keep me coming back so they gotta be there sooner or later,............ I can't beleive how fast she swiched to an image of Inuyasha after that vivid dream she had of Hiei......hmmmmmmmmmm well update soon XD

Nice chapter! The continuing "dream connection" between Kagome and Hiei is a nice device. I wonder, was Hiei having the same dream? Kagome is in an incredibly weak and slightly STUPID state, isn't she? If she believed there was danger, shouldn't she have alerted all those demons instead of sneaking around? LOL!! The bit about listening to her instincts was interesting, but it seems to prove that her instincts suck. LOL!! And just where the heck WAS everyone? It's not that big an apartment. I'm a bit disappointed in their demon senses that none of them detected Naraku. The interaction between her and Naraku was really good, but it really highlighted just how weak she is, and I'm not talking physically. How could she possibly have been fooled even for a second into thinking Naraku was Inuyasha? It was Naraku and then it was Inuyasha. Duh. She is just totally messed up. You keep harking back to what happened with her and the others in the past, but we're not learning anything new and it's killing me. ^_^ I have debating with myself over why she kept Hiei from killing Naraku and the only reason I can come up with is because he's the only one who knows where Keiko is. But, it still would have probably been better to have him dead and take their chances that they could find her. At least that way he's not torturing her in the meantime. Kagome's confirmation that she is a "traitor" was interesting. I'm not sure that's the best term for what she would believe she's doing, but then again, I couldn't come up with a better one. LOL!! I mean, she's not giving them or their plans or anything up to Naraku. She's not working with him or FOR him. I can certainly understand Hiei believing she is, though. So, why in the world would Naraku tell him not to believe he saw everything that was going on? I would think he would encourage him to believe it was EXACTLY what it looked like to him. Well, you've got me anxiously anticipating your next chapter! Everything flowed so smoothly in this and the dialogue was great. Obviously, Kagome will be answering a lot of questions next time and I'm looking forward to it. I hadn't realized how many chapters this story has already because it feels like it's just getting started. Bring it on!! ^_^

I love this story and just added it to my favorites. I can't wait to read more. Usually I don't read the story where Kagome tries to commit suicide but I gave your story a chance and love it. PLEASE UPDATE SOON! I really can't wait to see what happens next, why did you stop at a cliffhanger?!

Why did you have to leave it right there! Dx i want more! you must update more and faster! the chapters are so short! T_T you should make them just a little longer i dont even care if you put two chapters in one so it takes twice as long to update lol but other than that i really like your story and where your going with it! well I did miss reading a bunch of chapter cause of my stuped computer and e-mail but it dosn't seem that the story has progressed to much so it doesn't really matter I guess..........though they are very nice filler chapter I do say, I still can't believe Kagome Lost her powers it just doesn't seem fare .....life just isn't fare.....She will get them back though...right?....she just has to what kind of prestess doesn't have holy powers....and where the heck could they have gone....ya can't just lose power like that one day it just doesn't make sence thing just don't dissapear...does that mean some one took them.....or maybe they were taken in exchange for her life since she tried to kill her self....I don't know and I wont untill you tell me.....*pout*...ME...WANT...UPDATE..............*CRY*..............Nyuka
