i can't give up on those three years, either. the were glossed over in the manga so quickly. it must have been torture for both of them. i'm glad someone did a good job with kagome's side of those three years. thank you for posting this.

I should be working, but couldn't resist reading... :) I liked how you defined the brothers' relationship - that while they will probably never be close, a mutal respect has grown between them. I always felt this is where RT is heading in the manga, that Sess will finally accept InuYasha, and InuYasha will finally come to terms with being a hanyou (at least I hope!) Even though Kagome loves him for who he is, it's really Sess that InuYasha needs that confirmation from. I love the last line... indeed. :D

he even taunted magatsuhi for his poor 'choice' of using yasha as a vessel insinuating that his brother was of stronger stuff than the entity considered. if that wasn't a compliment... i enjoyed the profound reasoning that kagome used with yash and the agreement from the 'breeze'. ~ always wonderful, ginny

That was very inventive and so true to nature. Our dreams can speak to us. I felt bad for Inuyasha because of his longing to have a true familial relationship with Sesshoumaru. He probably never will either. It was nice to see Kagome behaving in an aspect that she is portrayed in the manga and not so often seen in a large portion of fan fiction unless she has been aged. People ignore the intelligence that both she and Inuyasha have shown. Thanks for doing that. It's too bad that Sesshoumaru most likely saw it exactly how Kagome painted it. She didn't read any kind of brotherly love into Sesshoumaru at all. I haven't seen much indication that he has any softer emotions for Inuyasha. Anywho, that was great! ^_^ Snow

While I'm not quite sure a stripe of fabric approximately one foot wide and six to eight feet long qualifies as a "ribbon" the story was definitely cute. And something tells me he won't mind that his fundoshi temporarily smells like her, *smirk* or that her scent might transfer through the contact to certain parts of him.
