That absolutely broke my heart. I was yelling "TELL HER!" desperately, but I am glad it ended the way it did. As much as it broke my heart, it was amazing writing. Somehow, I deeply hope in my heart that she managed to escape her fate, even though I know she didn't. This was absolutely stunningly written. And definitely something I've never seen before.

OH MY. How sad!! But how well written. Very bittersweet. Not many authors dare to write something like what you did, b/c we all want a happy ending for our favorite characters. But what you wrote is powerful. Thank you.

WOW! One of the best one-shots I've read on this site, i'd say. It was short but it captured so many emotions and is actually true to the series (meaning if something like this was ever gonna happen it'd probably happen EXACTLY like this). Nice oneshot. You do an excellent job of portraying 500 years of loneliness and self re-crimination in a few short paragraphs. The visual of a tear stained Inuyasha kissing a sleep hazed Kagome a few weeks before her death is a strong one. Also good is Inu's return to the car, knowing that once again he has let her slip theough his fingers because to do otherwise would be disasterous. That is a horrible paradox. A side comment is that I like the way you handled Rin in this piece. I have been bothered by the concept of 'mating = immortality.' You modified that by allowing the blood and the mating to increase her years somewhat, but not immortality. Nice Job. Thanks for sharing this one!

You were right to recommned i read this, this was absolutely heart breaking... knowing what will happen, yet unable to do anything to stop it, man... i hope i am never in a position like that. Excellent work, i really liked this, even though i'm not the biggest fan of angst, i still like it when used correctly, and you, my friend, used it superbly. I hope to read more of your stories soon.

That was extremely well done. I don't usually read sad stories...mainly because they make me sad! But yours was very well written, and excruciatingly realistic.
