Good, Kagome's had a two hour head start. She's a smart cookie and will definitely steer clear of the main roads, unless it looks like she can grab a quick hitchhike. Glad she put that extra oomph into scaring the dogs, that might have just been the end of her if they hadn't been too afraid to track her down at master's orders. I really couldn't think of another way for her to escape, either. I mean, just like Kagome herself knew, actually going through with something like that would be out of the question, but as soon as it dawned on her that she could fake it and just pretend long enough to incapacitate him I was cheering for Kagome. It was definitely the most logical course of action, all things considered. Maybe if she had bided her time longer before, before she'd already made two failed attempts, then there might have been a third possible option, but if that were the case then as her first attempt it probably still wouldn't have been successful. She wouldn't have known of the dogs, for one thing, or that her miko powers frightened them. We learn by doing. And you know, it never even dawned on me, all the chaos it would case had her call truly made it to the police, but you raise an excellent point and now I'm relieved the authorities aren't involved. She better think of something, though, since a certain somebody on the 'hunt' has visions of gasoline and lighters in her future. *Shiver* Well I know that won't happen, but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing what does happen next. supposedly she has kikyou's powers -- that means selective barriers that will only allow certain people in or out, she could create shikigami --a wonder why she never tried to learn, or maybe she has... kagome can also avoid roads and live off the land where those guys can't track her. she may even run into some old friends who quite possibly could still be alive or exist even in a different form depending on what part of the country she's in (she still smells the same and would be recognizable) and one would imagine that the reason she had never seen/sensed any youkai in tokyo because they prefer less populated areas. she could ambush a lone man looking for her if she was on the look out and had a good shot -.- arrows are very silent. she won't need to grope around to find where they have inuyasha if she runs into a few 'old' friends. | Reviewed By: xFinalActsGirlx On: June 06, 2011 17:04 PDT

Oh Kami! I can understand Kagome's need to try to escape, especially since she's right and in the long run they would almost definitely kill her anyway. At any point when they're done with Inuyasha, at least alive, and want to move on with dissection, that would be the time they kill Kagome because she's no longer needed...however long that might take is anyone's guess, but I wouldn't just sit still if I were her, either. If she can get outside again, at least now she knows the dogs are wary of her powers; maybe she could keep them at bay. And they've got to know something about Tetsusaiga, because he transformed it on the rooftop trying to shield himself from the poison darts, so even though they can't figure out how it works I'm sure they plan on keeping it around, hoping they can eventually unlock its secrets. Yay for keeping Hijin Ketsusou a secret! Love that you're tossing the romance in during all the craziness, that Inuyasha's youkai side is getting all possessive of Kagome and on the surface he doesn't fully understand why. Silly Inuyasha... Better hope he doesn't actually transform, though, at least while he's still in the cage, since they have the higher strength darts now and could probably put him down before he killed all of the guards. Something's gotta give, though, since it looks like they're all at a stalemate right now. Poor Kagome, I hope she doesn't get beaten up too badly or whatever that bastard has in mind. Keep up the awesome work! The suspense is killing me, but I know you're not sadistic enough to actually kill off our hanyou and miko. No matter what horrors they endure they will survive in the end, and I'm sure how they do so will be epic. Yay! An update! Oh wow, I wasn't expecting Kagome's...er...living situation, though I agree with her, it's time to think before acting and try to see if she can get on Sasaki's good side in order to find a weakness. She needs to bide her time and wait for the perfect moment to escape, just like Inuyasha knows as well. No confusion using the bad guys' last names. Oh! And I love what Inuyasha did with the weights! Ha! Take that! Yoshida might not have shown it, but at least for a second I bet he was shitting bricks. And Sasaki could very well be right when it comes to the space time continuum; considering they are all still there in that moment one could hardly argue that it is going to suddenly shift around them if Kagome isn't returned to the past by X. And okay, yeah, Inuyasha isn't human, and maybe if you want to get technical, that means that 'human rights' wouldn't apply to him, like in a court of law or something, but sub human? Ha! That means inferior to that that is one thing that Inuyasha definitely is not. They'll learn soon enough, they'll all learn. One last thing comes to mind... Thinking of Kagome's encroaching monthly has me thinking about Inuyasha's time of the month. Assuming Kagome blabbed everything, then they know he turns human, too, but even supposing that they don't know that in advance if it somehow hadn't come up they'll sure find out eventually. Sasaki is not an evil man at heart, or at least not as evil as Yoshida... He is able to sleep at night with what he has planned because Inuyasha isn't human, so I wonder how he'll feel looking into the human eyes of a human man locked in their cage. Will he still be able to shrug it off? Well...you do whatever you have planned! Don't let me change your story all around. This is awesome. Totally awesome update! Oh man...Kagome really did come close to getting bumped off there, *phew*. And yes, it does look like the initial burden of escape is hers to make, although I have faith that she'll think of something. All it would take is just one second out of her captor's grasp for Inuyasha to make his move. I knew that cage wouldn't hold him but for a second, that was awesome! But those damn darts! And how far away is the new moon? Fuck! Oh, and they're going to go back and steal the jewel shards from her home! Her family could be in danger! Ah!
