Awww...I thought you posted a new chapter at first, LOL, but that's okay. Updating is still a good thing, because it means you're actively thinking about and working on this story, as opposed to the scores upon scores of abandoned fics on this site. Sorry MM and your Mac still aren't getting along and your formatting is still all out of whack, but I agree that a messed up looking chapter is better than no chapter at all! PLease finish!! Been a fan of your work for a long time! I hope you dont give up writting here. I've notice that the fanfics of inuyasha have lessen in quality, and at the moment, Im only coming back to watch for your updates. If you know of any good inuyasha fanfics that are done or still being updated regularly, I'd be appreciate it!! No worries about the F'ed up formatting; I know it isn't your fault but just MM's software being stupid, as usual. This was a good chapter, I think. I agree with you that it was necessary, and it did answer a few questions. Kagome getting scolded by the others was kind of funny. I think I agree with both of their points of view. On the one hand, how dare they mock her for indulging in a pity party for one when they have captured her and are keeping her from her family, etc., etc. On the other hand, just sitting around moping and - as you pointed out - worrying isn't going to get anything accomplished, either. She was apparently under the impression that they were all keeping the facts from her just because Lucy was, but that was only because she hadn't bothered to come out of her room and ask. The others are just as in the dark as she is where Lucy's knowledge and plans are concerned, but they're trying to come up with their own plan in the meantime. If I were Kagome I probably would have stayed locked in my room and pouted and ignored any visitors for the first few days, LOL, royally pissed at being used for bait and then being recaptured, but there's no way I could have lasted three weeks like that. After probably four or five days, max, I would've swallowed my pride and tried to beg once again to be clued in on what was going on, offering to help in any way possible. After all, the only way she can be reunited with her family is after the issue with the slaves is taken care of, right? And I'm sorry, but I totally agree with them...how stupid of Kagome to not immediately put two and two together with that blurb on the news about missing gang kids, LOL. Duh! But that was a very good idea of Inuyasha's, also, that they should listen to the human news. Even though they don't know exactly what those things are, yet, they were obviously once human and so therefore listening to the human news certainly couldn't hurt and could very well give them a clue, like what local areas, specifically, the kids have been vanishing from. Find the place where the recruiters are snatching the kids, and maybe find the recruiters. And at least the family now knows how to kill the buggers, as you mentioned yourself, since Inuyasha decapitated a few before getting taken down. So Lucy's little stunt in letting Kagome think she was free as a test to see if the slaves would go after her was at least beneficial in part, in that Inuyasha now knows Kagome is still alive, and that the slaves are apparently after her specifically, and he knows how to kill them. In this kind of a crisis all nightwalkers need to stick together; Kagome should work with Chase and Nerek and Xander, even with as much as she's loath to even be in the same room as them. But what ever happened to 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend' right? Nightwalkers unite! What a tease for InuYasha! To have her back (barely) and then gone again just as quickly! How cruel, for both of them! Though, I can't help but feel for Kagome. Yay! I'm so glad you updated! And shame on you for leaving us in the dark on whether or not Inuyasha is okay! Oh well I'm positive you're not going to kill him so even if he got bashed up a bit I'm sure he'll pull through. Plus I'm also sure he probably heard Kagome's desperately cried out instruction to cut their heads off, so at least the family presumably now knows how to kill them. They just all need to arm themselves with swords. Wonderful chapter over all. Just finished reading you nightwalker story and now just finish the last of the chapters on midnight blood can't wait for the next chapter. These are really cool stories, i can't wait to read more. I also ready like the fact you though up the story while watching Queen of the Damned. And kill anyone who pursues?! Even Inuyasha? Even Sesshoumaru? He could try but he wouldn't succeed, that was a very vague order. Shame on Lucy! And shame on her for using Kagome as bait, too! Though I must say it's a good idea, LOL, because I was thinking the same thing; the cease fire has got to be related to Kagome's disappearance. Oh wow! I was not expecting that twist! I mean sure I was kinda expecting Kagome to wake up in the presence of Lucy and Narek and whoever, but I was not expecting the reveal of what those things really are. So a healthy, non-dying human who drinks nightwalker blood turns into a psycho-zombie killing machine? Sweet! LOL. I feel bad for Inuyasha, but hopefully he won't have too long to freak out before he and Kagome can be reunited again. As harsh as it sounds, though, I can understand Lucy's point, about not letting the king's family know too much. She cannot risk the information getting leaked and the leader of these monsters finding out that she knows what's going on. But who on Earth is behind this? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
