Aww! Those two are just the cutest! I hope Maddy can deal with her
grief soon. It seems so heavy.

Thank you for continuing these updates even if this story is still
on hiatus, we all truly appreciate you and the work, the time, the
love that goes into every one of these chapters. I’m so thankful to
hear you and your family are safe. This world is absolutely
bananas, and to be honest I needed these last few chapters. You
have always written with such love and acceptance of everyone. We
need so much more of that love in this world right now. Purity has
been my escape from social media these past few months. My anxiety
has been a hot mess, torn between needing to show my support and
love for those who need it the most right now, and protecting
myself against the flood of information, both positive and
negative. 2020 has been a hurricane. I live in nashville where just
a week before covid, a tornado ripped through my neighborhood,
destroying so many homes of that of my friends and community. Then
covid happened, and I went from teaching these wonderful little
ones with the sweetest smiles and the softest of hugs, to teaching
online and teaching my own child within the confines of our home.
And now this heartbreaking situation we find ourselves in. I don’t
want to get overly political in your comment section, so I’ll
refrain, but Geeeeeeez these past few weeks. If I could hold and
hug and teach every child right now about love, I would. Thank you
thank you thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart for
creating this wonderful literary world to divest my time and energy
when I’ve just needed a little break. Thank you

This was a very emotional chapter. I have to say that everything
going on in the world right now and the stress, anger, and sadness
I’ve been feeling...to see this chapter posted was really like a
small gift. Thank you. I’m glad you are doing well during this
time. I wish I could binge read this entire story because there’s
something special about These two characters. Like they are both
afraid to be their true selves for fear of rejection. I hope you
will take it off of hiatus soon. I look forward to regularly
reading chapters again. ❤️

Such a beautiful chapter Sue! These two are in it much deeper than
Mikio wants to admit I think. Poor guy. Poor Maddy. Omg poor Jazz.
You really know how to convey strong emotion to your readers. I
hope you and yours are well Sue!

All of it broke me, made me hurt for Maddy and ache for
Mikio—grieve for Jazz who deserved so much better than she got, but
this...this part was my absolute favorite. This part gave me a
bittersweet smile and a warm fuzzy feeling. “It’s . . . It’s okay .
. . I went and found you, right? So, you’re not . . . not a bother
to me.” “W-Why?” she stuttered, sniffling as she leaned away, as
her gaze finally met his, her tears still slipping down her face.
He sighed, carefully, a little clumsily, wiping her cheeks with his
fingertips as he managed a half-hearted smile that was almost
contrite. “Because,” he told her with a helpless shrug, and maybe
that spoke volumes, too. “You . . . You needed me.” She blinked,
stared at him for another long moment, and then, she sighed, too,
and let her temple fall against his chest once more, her breathing,
still stunted and stuttering, but her aura felt a little more
peaceful than it had since he’d found her. She said nothing more,
but she didn’t have to, and neither did he. The silence that grew
was soothing, welcome, even if the two of them were separated by
the unvoiced thoughts in their own heads.

Heartbreaking, emotional, and beautiful. Sometimes you just need
someone to lean on when times are the hardest. Thanks for another
heartfelt chapter Sue. xoxoxoxox

Hey Sue. I left a review for the last chapter but under the
comments section so idk if you saw it. Thanks for this chapter. It
was a real emotional one but a huge step forward for Mikio I can’t
wait to read more!

Interesting that when Mikio isn't focused on his ailments they
aren't really an issue. Psychosomatic? Guess we'll wait and see!
Thanks for the super sad and very interesting chapter!

Such a heart-wrenching chapter...poor Jazz, poor Maddy. All of it
so unfair, and yet, so on point how uncaring some people can be.

I am so glad you are updating again. I love your stories and have
been with you since purity. I was afraid number 10 wouldn’t be
finished but I’m so glad you are back at it. Your stories have got
me through some tough times throughout the years and I truly love
everything about them. Thank you for writing them and I can’t wait
to see what’s next for Mikio and Madison.
