I like the plot. Havin Kurama in that kind of troule. And Hiei actin the way he did. Also I like stories with Romance and Angst havin Kurama and Hiei in them. |

I was pleasantly surprised to figure out that Kurama isn't fighting back because he's weak or defenseless (and I'm sick of reading fics where Kurama gets all weepy and cries, etc etc)... but that he specifically *chose* to hold back because of his own principles.
I'd rather see him kick some bully behind, honestly, but I think you've got an intriguing question of self-defense when the one doing the defending could easily rip the bullies apart without thinking twice. I bet it's the same issue for trained martial artists when faced with muggers who, if the artist let loose on them, would pretty much be toast.
All in all, you've set up an interesting conflict and you've managed to keep everyone in character. Oh, and the treehouse thing... hysterical!
