This story is incredible. You have made me cry and you have taking a believable and heartwrenching view of the characters. I was leery about reading this at first because I am never usually fond of OCs, but you have nailed this. Ryo is being an ass and hurting himself, but he is doing so in a way that is absolutely realistic. Bikky is fabulous in this. There seems to be a tendency to write him as a stock character, rather than exploring how his life must be. You have fleshed out Dee so well in that his personality does not fall into caricature and so that he is not only the brash, rude, loudmouth that so many authors seem to portray him as. I very much enjoy the fact that Ryo has demons in this. Too many times he is written as totally good and without any faults, but his situation would definitely lend itslf to at least some soul searching. I really enjoy this story. It has ripped my guts out and hurts and god, I have never understood why people hurt themselves like this when the world is so hard anyway, but its true. Thank you very much for that, and I cannot wait to read the rest of this.

My god...this is an awesome story...I feel so bad for Dee...Its like you want to make every one feel sorry for Dee...he knows his feelings...he knows his desires but cannot get them from Ryo...We all can relate to Ryo...Our feelings clog our emotions and we cannot tell the difference...is it right or wrong or wrong or right to have these feelings for the same sex...but man Dee is so left behind and beaten by these emotions....he knows who he is and what he is but fails in trying to convince the man that he loves that its okay to love him...talking about a total tear jerker...yes I did have to use Kleenex throughout this whole story...I love the OC that you created...they bring such warmth and love to the story...Lyn is totally awesome...you could write a whole different saga on just those characters, Lyn and Andrew....that would be totally awesome...the whole knife up the back side from the psycho boyfriend....man they are awesome OCs....I love how they seem to surround Dee, keep him happy and stable..They are so supportive of Dee...So protective....I have seen that you update very, very rarely...I just wish that you would update sooner on this story...43 reviews, not counting mine, is an awesome count...mainly for Media Miner where reviews are short or far between...You have seen other stories that are totally awesome and have like 1000 hits but only two reviews...your 43 have to be encouraging mainly when you only update like once every nine months...which is pathetic....you know that...you need to update more often...I believe that if you updated more often you would have double the reviews...please do not be insulted by these words....I love you stories, this one in particular...I only encourage you to update more because Hell I love the story...*smirks*...catti

Oh, this totally just made my entire evening. I'm so happy to see this continuing. I was actually ranting about this fic to a friend of mine the other day. Needless to say, she slapped me to get me to stop. You know, in that friendly kind of way. I'm really really fond of Lyn and Andrew. I'm not usually a big fan of OCs, but these two just make the story very real. Dee's slight literacy problem just shattered me. I don't know why, but this small little detail just broke my heart into a thousand little pieces, and I just wanted to reach into the fic to give him a hug. I'm really fond of your Dee portrayal. It's very realistic. Overall, this chapter broke me even more than the last one. It's really a hard thing to witness, but I really thought that Ryo was... well, he's being a complete bastard, but I like the softer side of him, the deeply wounded side of him that is being shown here. We know he loves Dee. We know he has issues. We can't help but love him. Thanks again for the wonderful ride! Looking forward to the next chapter, but that being said, this one was more than enough goodness to tide me (Unfortunately I can't speak for everyone) over until the next update. Until next time!

I just saw half of my review is missing and just realized that mediaminer limits the length of the review, yeah, stupid me. What I added was that I hope that Ryo's seeing a woman won't destroy what little self-esteem Dee has. He has to see that his personality and his being a male is not Ryo's problem and he didn't force him into anything. I also hope that Ryo's sending Bikky over to Dee more often during the last weeks doesn't imply that Mary & Ryo are already trying to get rid of him. Then again if Mary would try to do that and if Ryo would realize it, maybe he'd finally take a good, hard look at himself and face the truth. On a critical note, I noticed some tiny mistakes or gaps in logic: in chapter 1 you write that Bikky isn't one for physical affection but in the later chapters you repeatedly describe him as a pretty touchy-feely kid (which I like, he's just a child after all). In chapt. 1, you also call Ryo Dee's husband, which confused me a lot at first *lol*. In the last chapter you write that Dee asked Ryo "Who?" (he is seeing), but I guess that might be a mistake left from an earlier version of the chapter. And I felt you completely forgot about Mother and the kids at the orphanage when Dee's thinking about who would care should he go missing. Other than that you know I love your story to no end and those mistakes don't derogate the greatness of it. Can't wait for an update. I just hope it'll contain some happy news for Dee. Sorry again for the split up review!

I'm hurting for Dee. How can Ryo go out with Mary after that breakdown? What a punch in the gut for Dee. Makes me wanna cry! A**! It's so unfair! I had hoped Ryo'd realize that Mary is not the solution. Now I hope that, since only 2 weeks've past, Mary & Ryo didn't do anything yet. Somehow the idea of Ryo kissing her is even more hurtful than them having sex. Kissing is such an intimate act. Should Dee & Ryo ever get back together (which I still hope for) it'd be something that'd surely bother Dee greatly. But I'm getting way ahead of everything! *lol* While I also side with Dee, of course, there's one thing I've to agree with Ryo on: he's not responsible for Dee's happiness. Ryo can't and shouldn't be the answer to Dee's issues. Dee's to be happy with who he is first, before he can be happy with Ryo, just like Ryo has to accept who he is and be happy with himself first of all, too. In a way, the break up was something both needed to figure their issues out. Despite being the more broken hearted one, Dee is better off than Ryo in a way right now. Lyn's right, he's on the right way, 'coz he's trying to improve himself, to solve his issues on his own and do something for himself. But Ryo? He really needs to stop lying to himself! What does it take to make him see that he's making the biggest mistake of his life? If Dee manages to downright reject him next time he needs him? Would Ryo finally see what he's doing then? My Impression of Ryo's breakdown, humbly speaking, is…he is at a turning point in his life…will he continue dating this girl to look good and acceptable to society or…will he love the one he truly wants and be scared hairless every time a relative stops by? And what if he does choose to love the one who makes him happy….will he be able to "touch" Dee? Will he be able to give Dee love as freely as he receives it? Can he face his family and those outside his apartment building? It's almost too much….So it's logical that he would began to "un-ravel" so to speak. A rubber band around the wrist can only do so much!!!!! And because Dee has his heart, which I find it strange that Ryo recognizes this fact, he is the first and only person who Ryo thinks of to bring him the comfort that he has been missing ever since Dee left. Which bring me to another point …Does Ryo deserve comfort from Dee? No, in my opinion of course, Ryo is selfish. And his selfishness has caused Dee to feel even more insecure and unworthy of himself. Yet somehow Dee still looks upon Ryo with such love and respect, I quote, "Ryo was a man who inspired love and kindness in others, bringing out the best of those around him". Arrrggggh I don't get it. Dee is precious, will Ryo ever see that?

Oh happy, happy day! You updated!!! I absolutely love this story. OK, yeah, Ryo is a bit of a cry-baby, but it fits in with the manga that he goes to Dee when he breaks. Please, try not to leave us waiting so long.
