"Chizzari-Raditz" Reviews/Comments [ 7 ] | Reviewed By: shivalatina [MediaMiner Member] On: July 18, 2006 07:42 CDT Comment/Review: I forgot to mention that I liked Bardocks character in him trying to help his son but taking the hits for him until he couldn't any more but I can't stand that he abandoned Radditz when he needed him the most.

Comment/Review: I found it hard to pull myself from this story. It was very well written. I can't say I don't like it because I saw where it was going and I didn't stop even though something told me I should but I didn't. I feel awful for Radditz and Jilt. I even had a lot of sympathy for Vegeta (in the beginning). I give you lots of points for making Zarbon and Jeice decent but I know the draw back was making a very nasty King Vegeta and Nappa. All in all it's a great story so I can't fault you for that but it's going to take me awhile to get over the MB lessons.

Intriguing. I find myself wanting to know every little detail of how the Saiyan court worked that you didn't address in the fics--such as, who is Vegeta's mom? and what were the rituals and customs involved his taking a female, which would have had to happen for him to have an heir if he hadn't ended up with chizarri breeders? Why didn't Raditz get stronger after all that? And what in the heck did Nappa have against Raditz, anyway?! After reading the 3 chizarri fics (before I read Twins), I must say that I understand something canon a whole lot better now--Vegeta's killing Nappa. The idea of "no pity whatsoever for the weak" was just brought home to me over and over again in this fic. I feel like you really nailed an important part that Saiyan ideal. The extreme, detailed violence doesn't come off as gratuitous, meant to shock. It's part and parcel of the Saiyan world, more specifically the Saiyan court. The weak are just cannon fodder, slaves and f***toys, and no Saiyan would waste time crying for them, much less helping them out. Your style is so matter-of-fact, minimalist yet vivid, although I did get a bit confused in a couple of places. You convey the strong emotion behind the stark reality without overwhelming the reader into sympathizing excessively with the narrator. When Raditz takes off for Earth, I'm almost relieved to know what fate has reserved for him. Bravo.

What's with Jeice too, nobody ever seems to write a cool jiece but you do? I love your style of writting and will praise you eternally but as for the moment i must cease in my worships to go save this story in my favorites! Yours adoringly, VegetandAru
