I am sorry that it took me so long to review but ff.net was screwing up so I had to come here to read your second chapter. I love your writing you both are very funny and very creative. Males do not go into heat. It is a female thing. It is when a female is fertile, and the 'heat' part comes from the fact that their temperature will rise a little bit. Males do not go into heat. A male will act obsessed, violent, or stupid (etc.) when there is a female around. Also, during 'mating season,' which is just a general time when the females of that particular species go into heat, the males act crazy because of all the fertile females in the area, or they are protecting their own female(s) if they are an animal that keeps a breeding partner. Mating season is different for every animal. It depends on how long the pregnancy lasts, and how long it takes the infant to reach an age where it will be able to survive harsh weather conditions. But most especially, males do not go into heat. Since a male produces sperm 24/7, and does not have a menstrual cycle, it is physically impossible for a male to go through heat. A male is fertile all the time (unless there are complications)./////////////// So to recap: Males do not go into heat! Females, and only females, go into heat!//////// I don't mean to sound condescending, but I've seen so many fics where Inuyasha or another demon goes into heat and then r@p3s Kagome/ Sango/ or any other female around. It doesn't bother me as much when the female is is in heat, and the male is just enamored with their scent.
