How beautiful...this is so terribly sad but yet beautiful at the same time. It is so real and the way you describe Kagome's emotions make me almost feel it too. It reminds me of Rebound, by Kristine Batey, another beautiful story. Thank you. This was amazing.

i've finally read fugue. it was probably the most beautiful thing ever, and i need to stop making a habit of reading resmiranda's beautiful, beautiful, smutty fics. really. the ending made me cry just because i'm ridiculously impressionable, and it wasn't even sad, but it was. i can't decide whether HotM or Fugue is better, although if i am feeling unloved and unsexy i will read fugue to make myself feel better. i want to feel sad for kagome and sesshoumaru, but pity just doesn't fit somehow, but their not happy either. they just are. how do you do that?

I loved this story. I read HOTM a while ago and this story touched me like that one did. You really know how to make the reader really feel exactly what Kagome is feeling. I felt like I was on her emotional rollor-coaster ride also. My favorite parts are I think the most heartbreaking - when Kagome fades back into her time away from Inuyasha and her thoughts of Sesshomaru standing over Inuyasha's dead body and deciding not to revive him. You paint such a heartbreaking picture. Keep up the great work and good luck on your novel!

"exceptional" would be a nice way to describe this. i've always been a fan of inuyasha/kagome fandom, and i don't know what made me read this, i guess i was intrigued, curious, i don't know, just that, one day, i heard of it and i looked for it. i wasn't disappointed. it was very well articulated, and it presented a kagome wearing a different skin, or, maybe more appropriately, a kagome who'd been stripped of her childish optimism by the harsh reality that everything beyond the well was in the past, a memory, she couldn't keep on living in, as you've made sesshomaru say. i'll admit, i skipped some parts, mostly her "memories," but the rest kept me entertained, and i'm not talking of the lemons, per se. kagome and sesshomaru's conversations--if it could be called that--were really interesting to read. oh, and you made sesshomaru's transition believable. he was tired, he sealed himself, and he was somehow different from the sesshomaru kagome had known. hn, this is getting a little too long. i gotta cut it short. anyway, kudos to you

I say this about very few people. You can write! I read this and I said, who is this? Such vivid word pictures. I read HOTM a while back but didn't remember you. Im working on my first and wanted to read the good authors to get my flow going and thought about you and my was I pleasantly surprised to come across this. You are phenomenal. Are you published? This is poetry. It flows like water. Such a wordsmith. I love the angst. Kinda sad to know Kagome was selfish with Inuyasha in the end . Well ,they both were. Awesome story!!!

I'm at a lack of words to describe it...It made me cry and laugh and think...and it gave me goosebumps...I read the first chapter on ff.net and then I found the others here. I wish I could express everything in this review, but I can't, it's too much...Sad, but also happy...Anyway I saw it was written quite a while ago, I don't know if you even look at reviews anymore, but I have to say this was AWESOME. You rule.

There are no words to describe what i was feeling when i read this story..it had everything wrapped into one, i can never forget, nor remember the exact words, i feel like i am in a jumbled mess, like i can fly, and yet im falling at the same time. wonderful story,i cant beleive it woow, o m g amazing.

Holy... shit... I should have KNOWN you were the author of this piece as well as Tales from the House of the Dog... I didn't realize it until I looked at the other stories authored... Fuge is one of my all time favorites! True, the chapters are gynormious, but the writing in it is some of the best, though I don't think it does justice to your later masterpiece... I'm left in shock and amazement though... I can't wait to read your next grand epic, though I must admit... it is much more convenient to read them through after you've finished uploading them then it is to sit through heartache waiting for a new chapter and not knowing if the chapter will ease the heartache and agnst or ratchet it up to ever higher levels! Oh, and though I forgot to mention it in my reply to House of the Dog, just reading your increadible writing has helped me ratchet my own writing up a notch!

I don't really know, how to decribe why I like your story. It is very different from what you normally read and I think you did a really good job. I hope you had as much... fun writing this fanfic as I had reading it.

I am both extremely happy and extremely depressed after reading this - it's so full of angst, desire, hope... it forcefully pulled out every emotion and left me satisfied and wanting more. Does that make any sense? If not, it might have something to do with the fact that I had to stay up until one in the morning to finish this; it simply would not leave me alone. Extremely well done.
