Well, I can't blame you for needing a while to get the next chapter. After all, I'm a teenage girl, and I'm perfectly aware of how much of my parents' time and attention I take up (but of course my older brother is MUCH worse than me, lol. j/k...sorta...). Anyways, all I can do is beg you to get the next chapter out soon!

::currently trying to imagine a mother of three thinking up a rape as the opening to a relationship:: can you tell i fail. however, it is the perfect opening to this very passionate relationship. you've done a wonderful job with character building to a very original story, as well as a very original take on Aoshi. i absolutely love the working of the darker aspect of emotions in your fic, they come closer to reality than the 'fluff' and 'waff.' i can't wait to read where you will take your characters. (excuse the grammar there are tons im sure.) great work so far.

I normally don't review any fanfics, but i just think this story is *honestly* one of the best RK fanfics I've ever read. Typically im not a huge fan of the aoshixkaoru pairing but after this story, it's all i can read! i hope you don't give up on this fanfic because I've enjoyed reading sooo much! much luv!

As always I love your stories. Once again I am, thanks to the benevolent absence of my older brother, using his computer. My computer is still being difficult and doesn't want to do what it is told. :sigh: Such a pain. But enough of my ranting, I am glad things were straightened out between Hawke and Kay, there was only one thing that caught my attention as an inconsistency, Hawke referred to Misao as 'Kaoru's Friend' however, I don't think she ever told him her full name. If it happened and I missed it I apologize and disregard what I just said. It's not that noticeable, when you read it. I just happen to notice tiny details like that, and I doubt it makes a difference in the story. Anyway, keep up the good work, and again congrats on your nomination, I think you deserve it. This is one of the best fics I have read in a loooong time. Maybe I'm just a hopeless romatic but love "The Black Hawke". I like that things were not perfect between them right from the start, otherwise it would have been boring. You managed to make a story line that captures people, not usually an easy task. The explicit sex content didn't ruin it either, as it ruins most stories. It's just a part of the story; you can tell it's not being written just for the sake of having an excuse to write bedroom scenes. (Gah, I hate that! Its like "Once upon a time" -sex scene- "and they lived happily ever after. Makes me want to gouge my eyes out.) Yea, semi-rant over. =P Please write more and continue updating, or I will die of not-knowing-what-happens-next-disease. -insert zombies chanting "updaaate" here- -Kat

I'm doing a happy dance for Aoshi and Kaoru! Glad you had them talk things out and they aren't hesitating! They can be happily together when all the drama unfolds, yay! I've been trying to read this all day...my family/friends are way to nosey and I kept minimizing the window when they peered over my shoulder. Shesh! Loved the AK goodness!!!! Loved it soooo much!
