3 days. It has taken me three days of neglecting my family and ignoring my work to read this. I can't believe this fic. When a friend told me about it, I was reluctant. After all, she'd recommended other 'great fics' to me in the past that were supposed to be really 'fantastic'. I read one that *almost* approached your mastery but it was never finished. I read another that was supposed to be *groundbreaking* and found it to be nothing but a mass of out of characterizations with disturbing allusions to things that really never would have happened in a supposed continuation. In yours, you managed to keep the characters true to form and managed to change them with a natural sense of evolution overall. It was remarkable. I remember thinking about midway through that there was no way you'd be able to remember and tie up such a complex plot. I was so wrong. I've read published works that aren't nearly as sophisticated and intricate as yours. Add to that the idea that you receive no payment for this, no compensation for your labor of love except the awe of your readership, and I can't help but be humbled by your dedication. Then I noticed how little time you took to actually post this fic, and from reading your reviews and seeing how quickly you've turned out nearly 20 chapters of Metamorphosis, I can't help but be in awe. They say you can't rush a great thing. They were right. Apparently you can rush a masterpiece, tho. Highest accolades, etc. You deserve them all!

OMG! I really couldn't stop reading! I started this on Nov 27 at 4 pm and just finished it on Nov29 at 2 am! You are kami, you have to be...you should be writing scripts for the new movies! I have to agree with you about the sequel, while i am sure you could do it, it isn't really nessecary. Happily ever after is awesome.

BTW, you nearly gave me a heart-attack when I thought he'd cut his hair. But I suppose if you'd really have done that, all your readers would have gone on strike, hmm? ^_^

But do I ever listen to people? Of course I don't, I go and do whatever I want to do. You recommended 'Cronicles' to me, but I read 'Torrent' first. Yet I think I am liking this story MUCH better. Not that the other was bad, but this one is much more my style. ^^ Although I doubt anything will ever live up to the all-great 'Purity' in my mind, lol! But we shall see! Anyway, so far I really like the concepts you are using. Such as Inuyasha reading her diary, and her LETTING him read it. It makes me groan when people do such frustrating things as reading something private without permission, so I was pleasantly suprised when he actually got her permission to do it. And it was too cute how he did. And the ears! I love that little theme. And his jealously of her school books. Too cute! I'm up to chapter 17 so far, but I shall continue to read obsessively and hopefully review on occasion. And LOL, can you believe it? No complaints about Sesshoumaru this time! ^_~

This is so interesting! I luv this fic! Now normally I'd say I love something but in this case. I laughed-really laughed. Laughed so hard I cried. Laughed so hard my family stared at me like I'd lost my mind. Then after I laughed, I gasped, clutching my heart. Then I cried-literally sobbed. I've not cried like that since I was pregnant and cried over everything. You reminded me what it was like, to be young and in love, and not knowing whether that one loved me back. Then you reminded me what it was like to fall in love, that pure natural love. The one that curls your toes when he looks at you. I've read them all, Sueric. I've read the good, the bad, and the ugly. This ... Chronicles… is the stunning, the wonderful, and the unattainable. Great job. I look forward to reading more. This is more than a fanfic, this is a novel that is free to those of us lucky enough to have found it, and for those who would lump this with those other mundane fictions, they are completely daft. Chronicles is an epic, a masterpiece, a spectacular roller coaster ride of a fanfic. Thanks so much for sharing something so beautiful! Till we meet again, Bethany

I just wanted to let you know what I think of your fic. In a word? There isn't one. There really isn't. A friend of mine recommended this to you, and after reading a myriad of CRAP… some of which were marginally acceptable, most of which were … CRAP… I have to say: this alleged 'Big Three' of Inuyasha fanfiction shouldn't even exist. There is only ONE… Chronicles. I can't believe this fic. Now add to that the first date of upload Sept. 24, 2004, to the last date of posting Nov. 18, 2004, and I'm completely in AWE. There's no other word to describe it. What amazes me? Of the 'big three', one is unfinished, probably will never be finished. One is disturbingly OOC. Then there's Chronicles. It is brilliant. I laughed. (Monk-in-Pain) I cried (you could FEEL Kagome's heart breaking when she thought Inuyasha couldn't get to her), and in the end, I wiped away tears because the ending of this story made me feel THAT damn good. I recommend this fic to one and all, and honestly, there IS no critique for such greatness! Kerry.

Wow. This story has left me breathless. It's definately one of the best Inuyasha fanfictions I have ever read! The way you take the characters and make them so real is wonderful. I laughed a lot, and more than once I sat here sobbing. I can picture this as an ending to the anime. Good job, and I look forward to reading more of your wonderful writing!

I made it!! 101 amazing chapters! You have found your niche within the written word and I thank the powers that be that you did. I still am in awe at how fast you turned this story out and yet it is so complete. Not sketchy at all. You had plots within plots, angst tempered with humor...a veritable roller coster of emotion. I LOVE IT!! Too often I have found stories that have great plots but the author wimps out, just isn't up to snuff to carry it off. You, Oh Talented One, are on a whole new level. ---- A friend of mine mentioned "compilation book"...I'm a big fan of Mercedes Lackey, Andre Norton, Anne MacCaffery...and there are lots of what can only be called "fanfiction" books out there that take place in created worlds with the original authors' sanction and blessing (and often edited by them as well). Wouldn't that be great; an "InuYasha compliation"? If they ever do, You should be at the top of the list. Wonderful story. Simply wonderful. Thank you.

You are such a good writer. I admire you so much!!!!!! You brought the characters to life and brought them together in such a magnificiant way! This story is one of the best i've read. It made me laugh, cry and everything else. I'm also proud of the fact that you waited just the right moment to add the lemons to the story and didn't not cave in under the peer pressure ^_^ Good Job!!! I award you for this story with 100 million bottles of sake....Enjoy!!!!!

I cannot believe it. I cannot believe this story. It blows my mind. How you managed to plot this out completely, tying manga and anime together with the seemless integrity of your tale is priceless. One word comes to mind when I finished this bit of literary genius: Apropos. The title of this fiction is so fitting, not only for the story, itself, but as your defining statement. Purity was beautiful. Torrent was masterful. Chronicles is an absolutely brilliant work. I've read a few other fics that have come highly recommended. I've heard tell of these others, the so-called 'big three' of InuYasha fanfiction. Of those three, Chronicles is of far finer quality, much more resonating. It amazes me, what you've done here, and if you can top this, ever, I'll be even more amazed. How rare to find a story that makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you remember what it felt like the first time you fell in love, the first time you kissed that special someone? This isn't just fanfiction, Sueric, this is magic, this is literature. This is completely worthy, and I ask you, please, as a humble admirer, to consider submitting to the BAFF contest. I think this is one of the best works anywhere at any time, and I hate to see you sell yourself short on this beautiful piece of art. What amazes me is that you've managed a nearly 800 page epic that doesn't seem like it is that long a read. Entertaining from beginning to end,I applaud you! As always, your devoted reader, Squalleon

Whew!! I laughed...I cried...my heart went 'pitter-pat' and I am thouroughly enjoying myself. You've made me forget about the cold I'm nursing and given me so much to ponder. I know I've said this before, but you have such a great feel for all the characters, I am in awe. I love long stories, the longer the better. It allows one to get to know all the parties involved and to understand who they are and why they do the things they do. I made it to chapter 40, and there really isn't much I can say that others have already said or speculated before. I am so thankful for the care you have given this story, it shows in every word. This plot just gets better and better. Your villains are suitibly vile and your handling of various dilemmas is supurb. I love all the interaction and all the angst. I just love the whole thing. I must quit for the day and pick up my reading tomorrow. Can't wait!! *^-^*

I'm in the process of reading this, so I won't speculate. I'ts a waste of time and the answer is already in the following chapters. A few comments: Ch.10 - too cute, Inu jealous over a book and offering his ears to get Kag's attention. Loved it. -- Ch.12 - Another trade-off; Ears and Izayoi's journal for Kag's diary. This is gonna be good! I would also like to agree with your Author's Note at the end of 12. A chapter is done when it's done. And 'lemons' or any other kind of fruit is rediculous when it doesn't make sense. I, myself, go for content in my chapters. I do try to make sure the chapter isn't too short, but I've had a few go quite longish. Quality over quantity. I even had a 'lime' (I think that's the right term) in one of my stories. I lay down a plot and the characters take over and do what comes naturally. I didn't plan on the 'lime' and I actually had to tone it down from my first draft. LoL! I didn't know he had it in him! I shocked myself. Anyway, one of the things I love about Inu & Kag's relationship is the innocence, the overall sweetness of deep feeling between them. You really have a strong grasp of this. I'm very impressed with your talent and am now getting off my soap box so I can continue reading this wonderful story. ONWARD!! Can't wait to see what Inu thinks about what Kagome wrote...hehehe

I have been consumed with this story since Tuesday; if you think it is easy to read 100 chapters, go to the office and attend to my family at the same time you have another think coming. I did think the youkai, with the exception of Totosai, of course, had truly amazing memories. I was astounded that Kouga remembered the joke he made about Inuyasha pissing on Kagome for five hundred years. Heck, I'm astounded that he remembered Inuyasha for 500 years. Maybe you could make a case for Kouga but what about Norimitsu? He sees a picture of Miroku in modern dress and remembers the exterminator he saw once (I think) 500 years ago? Anyways, thanks for the great read.
