You've managed in less than 2000 words to perfectly capture what Berkely really feels for Diana (at least I think so, going by his actions in Like, Like, Love). You even made me feel sorry for a character that I love to hate by describing what he wanted to do to the criminals who abducted the woman he loves, and how much he despises himself for not being able to be honest with her. The way you had single line paragraphs also made it very powerful, I read them all separately and I noticed it was as though you'd broken up a poem you've written, and placed lines of it strategically the way you do in your songfics, am I right on this? Anyway, Bravo!!
